Special thanks to realmadrid1809 for helping me out with all the xml files :)) As the name might imply, it changes the GUI to be similar to that of Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal (Gen 2) It has 3 variants based on Pokemon Crystal. I always wondered why every spinda is bald in this game. I was wondering if it was possible to add the spot mechanic from the main games, or if it's a technical limitation? And if not, are there any known plans to add them in the future?

Hi there, As you can tell by the title I have recently been working on a UI Redesign Concept for PokeMMO. I have a lot of previous graphic design experience, and one of the fields I enjoy working on the most is GUI design. I really enjoy PokeMMO, however at times I feel that the UI can be frustrating to navigate, and although the current UI does fit with the game pretty well. I feel like it could be a lot more modernized, clean and generally more optimized for ease of access and better appearance, which is what I have attempted to do here. I first thought about making a theme, however after looking into it and reading some forum posts I realized that it would restrict a lot of what I was hoping to change, so I decided to make a full-blown concept instead for a new more engaging and pleasing UI. I would like to clarify that this is NOT a theme/mod It is only a concept and at the moment there is no way to FULLY implement this into the game. I am considering making a theme or possibly a mod that allows for the complete changes and additions I have made to be included properly, however that would take some time and research so I decided to get some feedback from the community first. Below are some of the screenshots of the concept UI as well as comparisons (mine on the left) with the current UI being used in the game. (I am in no way criticizing the current UI) however I do believe some things could be changed and optimized for a more user-friendly clean experience. The current UI does an amazing job at sticking with the classic retro Pokémon look, but in my opinion PokeMMO is growing into a more vast and complex game that incorporates the classic feeling of the original Pokémon games and also that of an amazing MMO and believe the UI should also branch towards that. Feel free to look through the screenshots, the UI is not fully completed and a lot of things are still in the works, (such as a Login Screen, Store Menu, Breeding Menu and more.) This is what I have completed so far; Pokémon Summary Character Inventory / Bag Hotbar / Toolbars Global Trade Link Trainer Card PC Deposit Box Party Bar Chat Box Minimap (New) Top Left Display Battle Screen I would appreciate any feedback/suggestions or general opinions from the community and let me know what you would like to see for future concepts! This thread has been open for over a month now and Gallade has had access to Sharpness + Sacred Sword since April 27th. Since then, the TC automatically moved Gallade to OU where its usage has risen (~20%). Initially, Gallade had a remarkable win percentage (cannot recall, but believe 56-57%), but now it seems to be settling at ~52% as players learn to adapt and check this behemoth through resistances, immunity, and skillful play (items, prediction, etc). It's rare that we have an offensive threat with zero hard counters, and our community has truly struggled with it. There have been calls for a ban throughout this discussion with those calls leaning on its lack of counters, its overpowered attacks, high special def (boosted with Assault Gear), and/or outstanding speed as a wallbreaker. Counter arguments have looked at its poor sweeping speed and weak physical defense. In my practice and observation, Gallade also proves to be easily predicted and its reliance on Fighting and Psychic-STABs are easily resisted (or immune), which means one mistake and its in jeopardy for the rest of the game. On the other hand, one mistake by your opponent means Gallade has done its job, which is not to sweep, but to "break" a team. So, is Gallade too good at its job as a wallbreaker? My answer is yes. While it has its flaws, it creates an environment where true "wall-and-stall" playstyles are obsolete. Is this the natural progression of PokeMMO as we introduce more offensive threats in new abilities and legendary pokemon? Should we try to save "wall-and-stall" strategies? Who knows. But right now, Gallade is just too good not to use and is overly centralizing. While it's not an offensive uber (doesn't meet the definition fully), it is banworthy from my perspective.

Mayushii's Spot the Weeb Hide n' Seek! Date: April 14th, 2023 Time: 9PM EDT | Time Zone Converter Starting Locations: Vermillion City, Channel 2 About the event: Hello Misters! Team [Mr] is hosting an event for our in-game team members, this event will be in the form of Hide n' Seek! This event will vary across ALL FOUR REGIONS and will take place in channel 2 only. There will be 10 rounds, in which our host, Mayushii, hides somewhere, and we all go try to find them. Mayushii will send a screenshot in team chat, to hint as to where they are hiding. Every few minutes, that screenshot will get larger, to reveal more of the surrounding area. While Mayushii is hiding, we will all wait in the port city of said region they're currently hiding in, channel 2, near the ferry. There will be at least 1 round in each region, so if you haven't completed all 4 regions, it's highly suggested that you do so before the event takes place. Hiding spots may require HM's, so it's recommended to have either Ocarina's or an HM slave. Each round is won once the host (Mayushii) is found and a trade request is sent to them, at this time the player that finds them will receive a portion of the prize pool. Rules: -Players who only have their alts in team Mr (aka if Mr is not your main team) must submit a donation worth AT LEAST roughly $1,000,000 to participate in this event - There will be 10 rounds total - To win each round, you must find the host and be the first to send them a trade request while being within 1 tile from them - The host (Mayushii) will send screenshots in team chat, hinting to their location. In the title. I do realize that it's possible to hotkey lures and reuse them with the press of a key, which is no big deal especially when it comes to fishing. I believe however that this would be a nice small QOL feature that would spare us the very tiny hassle of keeping an eye on the lure step counter to check whether the lure has run out or not. Apologies if this is already a feature that I'm somehow not aware of, or if it has already been thought of and was deemed too tedious to implement. Thank you.
