Since I understand that post-update, the level up moves that exist in Gen III will abide by the Gen VI learn sets, I was wondering if introducing the abilities obtainable as hidden would become a possibility (as long as they exist in Gen III). Example of how the Kanto pokemon would look like if this was implemented: [spoiler]Venusaur - Chlorophyll Blastoise - Rain Dish Raticate - Hustle Pikachu/Raichu - Lightning Rod Ninetales - Drought Vileplume - Effect Spore Parasect - Damp Golduck - Swift Swim Poliwrath - Swift Swim Tentacruel - Rain Dish Golem - Sand Veil Rapidash - Flame Body Hypno - Inner Focus Marowak - Battle Armor Hitmonchan - Inner Focus Lickitung - Cloud Nine Kangaskhan - Inner Focus Seadra - Damp Seaking - Lightning Rod Electabuzz - Vital Spirit Magmar - Vital Spirit Flareon - Guts[/spoiler] Pros: More variety, more fun. None of these abilities will make the pokemon unbalanced in my opinion. Cons: A solution must be found to obtaining a hidden ability. Giving it a random chance to appear works for the above, with the exception of Eevee, since there is no way of telling the ability of Flareon. The Bulbapedia entry for Hidden Abilities: [spoiler]Beginning in Generation V, most Pokémon were given access to another Ability, referred to in-game as a Hidden Ability, if obtained under certain circumstances: Where possible, all Pokémon obtained from the Pokémon Global Link, either via the Pokémon Dream World or a Global Link promotion, will always have their Hidden Ability. Certain event Pokémon may have their Hidden Ability. Pokémon obtained from the Pokémon Dream Radar will have their respective Hidden Abilities. Two instances of Pokémon found in-game in Black and White (the five Darmanitan in the Desert Resort and the Musharna found every Friday in the Dreamyard) have their Hidden Ability. Pokémon found in Pokémon Black and White 2's Hidden Grottos will always have their Hidden Ability, as do certain other interactable Pokémon in the game. Horde Encounters may have a Pokémon with a Hidden Ability. Pokémon found in a Friend Safari have a small chance of having a Hidden Ability. That chance increases if the registered friend associated with the Safari is online. If a female Pokémon has a Hidden Ability and is bred, it has a 60% chance of giving that Ability to each of its children. Each of the other Abilities has a 20% chance of being passed down. In Generation V, Hidden Abilities cannot be passed down from male or genderless Pokémon, or when breeding with Ditto. In Generation VI, this was changed so that male and genderless Pokémon have the chance to pass down their Hidden Ability only when bred with Ditto.[/spoiler] It might seem non canon at first, but let's admit Extremespeed/Superpower/Hp Flying (70 BP) never existed in GEN III, so if we are following the later gens as closely as possible, I think the Hidden Abilities should at least be discussed

Do you guys pray to your rng prophets? I've always wondered this out of boredom. For example you prayed to a certain pokemon/based god/ staff , and your rng prayers have been answered. If so, please tell me your situation.To start it off.... I prayed to Kyogre just now to if i found a relicanth with a green shard, i'll get off, make me some pancakes, and then head off to bed....and it happened two minutes later.

Is Viridian actually this bad? All I get is whispers saying how nervous they are to play me and how amazing I am. So much flattery when I play there. You cant really expect to change someones attitude in a video game, 2 years and im still an arrogant prick. Why not add quality competitive players to your friend list, then you can have an actual competitive match with good sportsmanship. Or maybe you like picking on the weak and your team is easily picked apart by a competitive player so choose not to.

It's all part of sportsmanship, a great tradition in sports and competition that means playing clean and handling both victory and defeat with grace, style, and dignity. What Is Sportsmanship? Sportsmanship is defined as: following the rules of the game respecting the judgment of referees and officials treating opponents with respect I've seen a lot of "low class" stuff over the last few weeks around dueling spots - not only towards myself but to other players. I am not making this post in regards to any particular event. I realize many duelist do not post in or read the forums. However, I know our community is small and people talk with one another. It's not always possible to maintain control when you are in the heat of the moment. I've cried. We all lose it sometimes and we all mess up. It happens. However, as long as you try to show sportsmanship and treat other people good it makes a huge difference. Interpret my post however you like, it is your choice. Be who you are. Thank you for reading. It's a huge deal if something potentially ends up in ubers due to the introduction of a new ability; that's yet another Pokemon pushed out of use in competitive play. Such a thing cannot be disregarded from the conversation. It seems rather unfair to introduce Hidden Abilities for some Pokemon and not others (because they don't exist), whereas with the introduction of new moves everything gets something new. Even though not every Pokemon had their Hidden Ability introduced in Generations V/VI, the game had information on all of them; which is a luxury we do not have. This would also mean a select few Pokemon suddenly have 3 potential abilities, whilst others still have one (many were gained with the introduction of new abilities in later generations). Hidden abilities (most of the time) are usually the better option, and it would put focus on these individual Pokemon for no real reason. I also have not gone over the lists included in this thread, but there were many Hidden Abilities that never saw a release and have never made it into any Pokemon meta to date.

Basicaly an ingame buyable news paper that will contain certain informations. It is a known fact that pretty much everything is in the forums yet it is highly optimistic to think everyone will be using it, so i came up with an idea, here is the concept: 1- Self refreshing news whenever something comes up (like mewtwo or a swarm) [spoiler] yes the info can be seen from the TV it can't be expected from players to sit infront of the TV the whole day to confirm a swarm[/spoiler] 2- A section to notify players if there is an official event coming up. 3- Allowing players to post their unofficial tournaments to that section. 4- A section that gives info about certain guides or linking it. these are most of the essential things i can think of atm pretty sure more needed things will be pointed out with some feedback A decent fee (Poke yen) to buy the newspaper, can be bought daily or registered as monthly. How will it work ; if the newspaper bought as daily, the informations will be accessable for 24 hours and will expire when the time is done. Monthly however, will drain the required fee each day in order to keep the paper going... However, if the player who purchased as monthly doesn't have the required fee, the paper will expire and the fee will be cut from the user on the next purchase ( for example ; 1k fee for each payment, upon late payment the next fee will be 2k) Pros : Perfect for money sink and highly usefull Cons : Nothing i can think of Here are some examples for the headlights : Front Page : Team Lyle is on a winning streak Front Page upon mewtwo encounter : <nickname> has captured the rogue mewtwo, but can he get a hold of the mewtwo? lets see who can entertain mewtwo / <nickname> has defeated <nickname> and the mewtwo found this new trainer more suitable as a trainer, trainers whom wants to prove their worth to mewtwo can battle its trainer at cerulean cave channel 7. Front Page upon a swarm : Breaking News, baltoy's which were considered as extinct has made an appearence at the tanoby ruins. Second Page : Our talented trainers have gathered several pokemon to cheer up smee. Smee is now a happy smeargle and playing along with his friends Third Page : An epic clash will take place in Sliph Co. today at 11 PM EST. more details in our official page <link> Third Page upon the time of the tourney is at hand : The arena will be ready for our trainers to beging their clash in # minutes. Forth Page : Trainers decided to have a little showdown among themselfs to measure their skills. I like these designs but I think they should have more rocklike coloring. Lunatone doesn't even look like the original pokemon although Solrock is pretty recognizable and close. Purple matches the psychic type but Lunatone is essentially a yellow/beige rock.
