While i wont disagree that he is a respected member of the community i will disagree that he has his fair share of accolades, especially in comparison to aerun and stelian. Lifestyle. What you will notice about his sign up is that he doesnt mention either of those two competitive achievements. Difficult to complain about missing out when u half ass the sign up.

Firstly thanks to everyone who signed up, it’s a shame not everyone who wants to manage can get the chance to experience it but that’s just how the coockie crumbles. I’m sure some of you may be unhappy with who is chosen but it’s impossible to please everyone. Anyways here are the managers, in a very particular order. MaatthewMLG @MaatthewMLG Pachima @pachima xSparkie @xSparkie Enchantuer @camilo7 Zhiko @Zhikodark Stelian @Stelian Aerun @Aerun BlueBreath @xXBlu3BreathXx I was going to justify why I picked each one but it seemed like a waste of time because some of them seemed so obvious, especially after checking JIce’s poll. I thought it might be easy to go over it as more of a whole. MaatthewMLG, Pachima, xSparkie, Enchanter, Zhiko and BlueBreath were all logical picks in my opinion and I don’t think any explanation is necessary. The last two spots were a bit tougher but I felt as though Stelian and Aerun were the best option. I was tossing up between Lifestyle, Lotus, Hopy, Stelian and Aerun. While Lotus and Hopy both had the right attitude they lacked competitive achievement compared to the other three. Lifestyle obviously has the competitive achievements but inactivity let him down, as well as bombing the last time he managed. Stelian has been running hot lately and Aerun was the last half decent option remaining he tied for 7th in that prediction thread so I guess some of you think the same. If this doesn't satisfy you and anyone wants to know more specifically why someone didn’t get picked or why someone did, just ask and I’ll tell you. Congratz to everyone chosen, lets get it.

Legendary pokemon are far stronger than majority of pokemon, and many of them would be instantly placed into ubers (Which effectively makes them unusable to majority of players as Ubers is probably the least played "tier"), Zekrom, Rayquaza, and Mewtwo are legendaries that are available for temporary capture and would all be too strong for OU so would end up being banned effectively. It has been mentioned prior that Dungeons will be added to the game in the future and will likely involve the ability to permanently obtain legendary pokemon. I am sorry to hear that these changes are ruining the experience for you, however it is likely far healthier for the game for no one to have certain legendaries than for people to have them and not be able to use (or alternatively if they aren't banned to ubers everyone is basically forced to use them as they are too strong to NOT use in competitive play). If anyone decides to read that old out-of-date thread please make sure you read the disclaimers, nothing said inside of it is guaranteed and is almost a year old at this point so take EVERYTHING inside of it with a pinch- no, heaps of salt please. Just a reminder.

I believe one of the main reasons level cap was added (and as a result make the game harder) was to effectively act as "Tutorial" for what is the end game for most players, PvP battles which will use far more well structured teams that cannot be in any form out-leveled (at least in tournament mode duels or matchmaking) so by removing the option of beating them with levels and brute force essentially it requires players to examine if their team has strong weaknesses (in your case you are getting one-shot, which means either you lack a pokemon fast enough to out-speed the pokemon one-shotting you or you lack some form of bulky pokemon that can afford to take a hit). I will agree however that Ghetis is indeed a difficult fight, even I struggled with him and I definitely understand that it is probably made more frustrating as you have to re-capture Zekrom each time, but (in my personal opinion) this is the hardest fight in PokeMMO against a non-event NPC so if you do manage to overcome this then it should be smooth sailing for you in the future. In regards to wanting to play the Vanilla games with a friend I will have to say that doing direct 1:1 ports that are entirely faithful to the original games would ruin the experience of multiplayer aspects, if breeding was free then everyone would have everything and little desire to work for anything, there would be no sense of progression or worth to pokemon / items which would effectively turn this into a Pokemon Showdown esque game (note how in Showdown nothing has value because everything is instantly accessible). A game designed for single-player gameplay (especially one made accessible to young children) will not translate to an MMO environment well 99.9% of the time so adjustments do need to be made. I will leave this thread open as other players are leaving helpful suggestions on how to get past this genuinely difficult fight, so hang in there, you're almost there. c:
