What team tournament?

Please don't forget about the team tournament for the 2nd straight month.

LF update Lately I've been seeing Haunter do a lot of damage, it's probably S Rank material with those stabs, Shadow Ball hax, near perfect coverage and almost limitless movepool. I'm questioning how Flareon got to A+ rank - while it's good it just doesn't get used very much or threaten many pokes. Being slow and having bad defense is a bane in a game where EQ is super effective against pretty much everything except Blastoise. Sableye doesn't get enough love for simultaneously providing some support against Xatu/Grumpig with Faint Attack, stopping Normal spam, having insta heal, and access to one-off moves like Psych Up. Granted, it'd be a lot better if Amph/Blast weren't so common. Gorebyss deserves some A/A+ love as well - once you set up that late game Rain Dance everything but Mantine (who also should get a shout out if it weren't for Ampharos) is going to be scared. Solid defs as well for a strong sweeper. I also feel like Golduck deserves some love, again it's late game abilities are scary and it hits reasonably hard with STAB Surf. The only fear is taking Toxic on the switch in from Blastoise. Already mentioned Pinsir once, it's probably more A rank than S since Blastoise is around now, but its physical bulk is pretty mighty (enough to live a non-CB Scyther Aerial Ace) and fast Quake with Access to QA makes it a pretty balanced poke in terms of performance against offense and defense. Roselia is another missing link here: while it sometimes struggles with Blast/Amph it can also abuse more stall-oriented variants by absorbing Toxic (or even Twave if you run NC) and being one of the tier's only Spikers. While it looks pretty flimsy it can survive stab Special Fire attacks from Ninetales or Flareon and even lure counters like Scyther and Fire types in with that STAB Sludge Bomb. It definitely needs some support to work effectively as a spiker, but Spikes can make a big difference against offensive teams since they use leftovers less often and Spikes often mean the difference between X% to OHKO and the guaranteed OHKO.

As far as I am aware, it's defensive base stats, typing and spread makes the poke a wall or not. Arcanine has 95 base speed and 110 attack. Would you also "not call it a wall" ? Come on Robo :v

While I did not read most of the comments in the thread, I think the idea is pretty bad because it will confuse new players into believing there is an actual tier below NU. NU has always been the creative zone, who are we to say what is bad and what not? A lot of NFEs can be niches that fully counter a set team, a recent example would be Duskull with amazing typing and ability that functioned as a full counter to Hitmontop in the absence of other floating ghosts. NU is an ever-changing tier, and the big soup you see in your dex is simply what happens when you have isolated upper tiers. I think when you teambuild, if you look at the dex, you take the wrong approach. Now that we have usage stats, that is where you look. Arcanine has only ever been able to learn Will-o-Wisp by TM - it has never been a level-up, egg, or tutor move for it. As we do not have a Will-o-Wisp TM here, Arcanine is unable to learn the move at all.

How about a battle chat? Where all the spectators have a chat to talk about the match. During tournaments people refrain from talking in all chat because there is like 6/5/4/3/2 matches going on at a time. If there was a chatroom for a specific match, I believe it would foster discussion

After i beat the Cinnibar gym, Bill came on the boat and asked me to go to 1 Island with him as usual. I didn't really feel like going yet so I told him i wasn't ready. I went and finished the Kanto league and now I can't seem to get to 1 Island. Is there any way around this?

But I don't think you can force it like that. Tier doesn't develop in quantity tournaments, it develops overtime. No one is going to re-teambuild or even find different builds in such a short time, everyone just tends up building their 1-2 working team and using it over and over again within those roughly 2 weeks.

I don't care for anything people can use to try to judge or measure one another with: "My post is more significant because it has likes" "My clan has way more wins than yours, who cares what you think" "No one watches your matches because you are bad lol" It's not that it's a huge deal or that I take it really serious. It's just that I like the anonymity of it all when those kind of attitudes are not in a game. People seem more light-hearted and fun to me without them. I would also want the new players to feel like his/her first pokemon battle is just as much a part of the game as a 3 year veteran - like we are all equal trainers. If you are extremely curious you probably already know about the battle tab. You have those details there and more: who, what, when. I always have my tab only on the battle tab anyway because I click my move then look off for awhile or change screens (tv, forum browsing, etc). When I come back, what happened is in the battle log. It prevents you from having to sit, wait, and stare. You can also notice trends like people being able to tell you are in a defensive match then they will leave and swing back by 5 minutes later to catch the end instead of watching the whole game. There are other trends. All of that information is in the battle tab.

Please no. Mainly due to the reason RU and NU are real tiers in Smogon, this would just confuse people a lot thinking "NU" is a real tier and not just something to help people navigate the real NU list in PokeDex. I personally think the best idea is to just add a "NFEs (Not viable)" section below NU which basically has all the NFE that are not even somewhat viable in NU (which is like.. 90% of the remaining NFEs). If the NU Council was to determine this, I can just say here's the Pokemon that are reasonable to add to the NU section: Haunter, Kadabra, Metang, Diglett, Duskull, Pikachu (obviously haha), Wynaut and maaybe Shelgon and Clamperl (also Pupitar and Dragonair if we wanna be really loose). Other option of course is to make a NU (Fully Evolved) and NU (Not Fully Evolved) list which is probably the most politically correct way to do this but since some of these NFEs I mentioned are really viable in NU some people might miss a notable Pokemon in the NU metagame since no one wants to look at the (Not Fully Evolved) list. Or this. NFE is the most common term though so this "NCQ" combo might be another one needed addition to FAQ lol. I like this word combo, though. If the whole "Not Competitively Qualified" could be added then it's pretty damn self-explanatory to everyone. Only issue I see that will we add shit tier fully evolved Pokemon there?

You are such a superstar staff member, I appreciate the hell out of you for the work you do. I think it's time to get some tails in PokeMMO, dearest Darkshade and Shu. This has been brought up before but I think it would be great to get the tail/butt slot implemented and get some new donation items out there. As with ears it wouldn't be horrible to have a bit of a selection in the Celadon Dept Store too. Some possibilities are: Marill Tail Charmander Tail Aipom Tail Pikachu Tail Mareep Tail Vaporeon Tail etc. Why is this a good idea? Hats are getting old, it's further customization of in game sprites (which a lot of people enjoy), and it's just kawaii. The Gift Shop needs something new in it, imo, and it doesn't really hurt to add more variety to it (as far as I know). I get it would take some work but I can promise you this, I would appreciate it, and I think some other people would too.
