Listen, I know you're new around here, and don't understand the finer points of the delicate political and societal ecosystem of the PokeMMOTM landscape, but I will not sit here quietly and take this blatant disrespect of the most esteemed PokeMMO political office. First of all, Bestfriends is a long time and beloved member of the community, providing quality of content for dedicated PokeMMOTM players, such as coverage on ingame playthroughs, and even brief discussions of pokemon outside of story, looking at notable pokemon like Hercalacross and Sailamence. Sure, it's his first time in office, and he hasn't done a significant amount, but he had to take time to hand select his cabinet, a strenuous and time consuming task. To say he hasn't done anything and deserves no such title, despite his past contributions and the fact he won the election is blatant slander. Quite frankly, it's nothing less than political mudslinging of the lowest degree. He hasn't demanded any sort of respect from any authority, not that he needs to. You said it yourself; You don't even understand what the mayorship placement entails, and yet you're outright flaming and aggrieving this man for doing his best in his elected position. Speaking of demanding respect, you made time to advertise your own thread, with your own VERY IMPORTANTTM DONUT STEEL Super Survey That Will Stay On Everyone's Permanent Records as a completely shoehorned addition to your post. It isn't enough to outright insult our mayor, but you also have to advertise your own content? Well, I guess all that matters is you've found a way to feel superior to everyone involved in the election and everyone who posts on the forums at the same time, so you've got that going for you. Yes, the first post of the thread is garbage. Unfortunately, after the complete and utter collapse of the original Mayoral Regime after the devastating Riga.exe bombings of February, the original systems in place for this system were destroyed, and Fred was the only person who could run the election. Yes, it wasn't professional, and yes, it made the position seem like a joke, but to anyone experienced in the community, lengthy prose about it's importance isn't necessary; it's understood implicitly. Ultimately, the person going around the forums actively aggrieving people and spamming links to their thread is not our Divine Emperor, Mayor, and Supreme Authority of All Things Above Bestfriends, it's you. And if you can't even manage some Poke-Respect for our mayor, then I don't know how you can expect to receive and Poke-Respect yourself. From my perspective, the troll here isn't Bestfriends, it's you. Additionally, just to explain some of the roles of the mayor and the benefits it provides to the community, since you professed to not understanding it, allow me to list them: The mayor maintains order, acting as a speaking point and representative of multiple facets of the PokeMMO community. They assist new players, educating them and introducing them to larger groups of the community to become involved. They maintain a constant thumb on the pulse of the playerbase, listening for discontent and attempting to resolve problems. They are literally granted divine powers and hold a great sway on the growth of our crops, ensuring we survive the winter. Quite frankly, you should do more research before posting.

Despite of having a community full of self-centered edgelords, Bestfriends had a dream. A dream to make PokeMMO great. He started off as a media start-up company to cover about the news of PokeMMO. He had nothing short of ambition. He was ready to interview from the developers of PokeMMO to a rock outside of Mt. Moon. The truth needed to be told to people. For Bestfriends, "Fast, Accurate and Unbiased" wasn't just an advertisement slogan, it was a way of life. When not being busy on telling the news to the people of PokeMMO, he was always ready to help new players. There was no player who asked "How can in Saffron City?" and didn't leave the scene with a smile after Bestfriends helped with their issue. All this was just a road for Bestfriends for becoming the most known media personality of PokeMMO while having a huge market share over "PokeMMO e-sports" channel as well as other media competitors. Clearly this wasn't the end goal for Bestfriends, as we can see with his willigness to become the mayor of PokeMMO. TL;DR: Bestfriends is the mayor we need but a mayor we don't deserve. Somehow we still have him in the office and if you can't show respecc while doing no research at all, then I can't help you.

You obviously have no idea who Bestfriends is, while i respect you trying to help the community with that survey. you shouldn't go around posting a link that is irreverent to the topic at hand. to me it looks like your jealous of the attention this thread is getting and your using it to get more views on your thread. No sorry i may have gone too far there, nevertheless you need to understand Bestfriends here has been serving the Pokemmo community since 2013 via (youtube or in game.) show some respect to our elected mayor. I returned a month ago, Never really knew Bestfriends as a person until now. He is a very generous and helpful part of this community. At one point I actually needed help farming everstones. Bestfriends dropped everything he was doing to catch me a Gastly and taught me how to farm. The thing is he didn't have to do that. He wanted too! As for calling him a troll. A troll isn't someone who helps others. Look at his work and you will understand. New players come onto this game for the experience of Pokemon. They later find out that money is hard to come by. I'd rather have someone who sees the community as a whole as mayor, accepting the good and bad as it is and still try to do something good for the game and those people who play it than someone like you who has 0 regards to what others think and focused on your own ideas an opinions and completely shut off to criticism or disagreement. When I look in this topic and when I was reading the responses here on page 5, it made me want to cry. I know that real men don't cry, but hearing about the things I had done for the community just makes me very humbled and thankful. Just as a note, when I make YouTube videos, I don't gain a real life profit off of them. For anyone worried about my financial status, no need to, real life can take care of that. When I come on PokeMMO, it is almost like another world, a very awesome world at that. @Desu @Kyu @Shu and @Squirtle do their best to make this game like a paradise, I see the fruits of their labour and I am proud to say that I am a player of this fantastic game. On top of that, the community elected me as mayor of PokeMMO, so I want to do what I can to represent this MMO in the best possible light! Good evening, I figured that I should reflect on my Mayorship so far: Actions: 1. Created a Mayorship Council for ideas and to consult for certain proposals. As they say, "two heads are better than one," except, "a lot of heads are better than one." I want to have a diverse amount of viewpoints. 2. Meowths for newer players (also there is no longer a specified day, now Meowth distributions are going to be silent, but helpful). 3. Created the Mayor Bestfriends YouTube channel, thank you for partaking in the Mayorship YouTube Poll for the name and studio location! After I get my new YouTube channel up and running, then I would like to focus on other plans that would give enjoyment to you the community. as someone else whos wasted 5 years playing this, i fail to see how any of the changes are bad. even ones that i dont personally agree with are objectively better for the game as a whole.

I think there should be a general miscellaneous thread for shitposting that doensn't warrant its own thread. Whether it's about a dank meme or a Modest Steelix build, not every post deserves its own thread necessarily. So if you have something super interesting to tell to forums but it would only require one post and no discussion - this is the go to thread. Currently forums are a mess to read when I'm bored at train and there's nothing funny left in Reddit. I believe that people should be able to carry their pokemon freely. That is a good question, my competitive representatives should thwart off Team Rainbow Rocket and other groups that want to cause us harm.

Have you fixed the normalization of audio so that all pokes are similar volume levels instead of some being too loud (#19 Rat) or too low? I could do it myself but it is better if the mod author (you) take care of it so that it can be publicly distributed. When I previously used the mod, I went into Audiacity and did 'Audio Normalization' to -16 dB and that seemed to do the trick. It basically 'prevents' any audio from going above that sound level. Of course in-game you need to max out sound at 100% volume to even hear the Pokemon cries. Therefore, an alternative to -16 dB normalization could be if you could increase volumes somehow by at least +10 dB or +15 dB (without distortion) and test/post it then that would be awesome.

For the first time since the Unova update, tiers are going to be updated. Usage based changes are made based on the usage gathered from February, found in this thread: Notably, the way we're going to do usage based movements is different now. Usage will now be done in 3 month cycles, with normal usage movements (4.36% cutoff point) at the end of a cycle, combining the usage from the prior 3 months into 1 large aggregation of usage. Notably, the older months in the cycle, 1 & 2, are weighted significantly less than the last month, having a weight of 1 and 3 respectively, with the last month having a weighting of 20. This also means that during these cycles, pokemon will not move according to the ordinary 4.36% cutoff. Instead, there are quick drop/rise cutoff %'s that, when reached, will move pokemon even mid-cycle. The quick drop value is 1.7%, and quick rise is 6.7%. The purpose of the 3 month cycle is to make tiers more stable, instead of constantly monthly usage. The quick change %'s serve the purpose of ensuring that this increased consistency does not also result in wildly inaccurate tiers, as bans or new additions can cause massive changes to tiers. The quick %'s should account for this, moving pokemon that suddenly spike in usage or drop significantly mid cycle. For the month of February, we will dictate our usage movements using the quick drop and rise %'s, instead of the ordinary 4.36% cutoff. Moving up from UU/NU to OU: Milotic Mantine Tentacruel Arcanine Swampert All of these pokemon were above the 6.7% cutoff for usage in OU. Moving up from UU to BL: Porygon-Z: Porygon-Z has been terrorizing UU for the past couple of months with it's absurd strength. With Adaptability, it's STAB of choice, Tri-Attack, becomes an absurd threat fired off from it's base 135 special attack. If you opted to run Download instead, you could sacrifice the consistent STAB boost for a chance at a +1 boost to all of your attacks. In either case, Porygon-Z was an incredibly difficult to handle behemoth. Not only was it difficult to switch in with much of anything, but there were also multiple different sets to look out for, even for things that could answer it. Life Orb or Specs made any sort of defensive switchin even less viable, whereas something like Scarf or Agility could be used to outright sweep a team. Nasty Plot was also an option to guarantee a KO on basically anything that isn't outright faster than it. Ultimately, when Porygon-Z came out, it usually resulted in a pokemon getting sacced in order to check it, since dealing with any other way was somewhere between very difficult, risky, and unreliable. Because of this, : Porygon-Z is *Porygone from UU." Moving up from NU to UU: Venusaur Weezing Mandibuzz Gigalith All of these pokemon were above the 6.7% cutoff for usage in UU. Moving down from BL to UU: Bisharp Torkoal Both of these pokemon were initially placed into BL for fear of them being too overwhelming to be allowed in UU. However, that was assuming that everything, abilities, items, etc. works as intended. Unfortunately, that has not turned out to be the case, and as such, these 2 pokemon are being moved down until they end up actually receiving what would make them overwhelming. Bisharp was placed into BL for fear that it's high attack power along with Defiant and the lack of team preview makes it too punishing of a threat against Defog, with minimal counterplay until it's revealed. As a result, it was placed into BL until Team Preview was added, at the very least. However, with the lack of a properly working Defiant, it was decided that Bisharp would not be problematic in UU, and has been moved down. Torkoal is more controversial, however, with the lack of Heat Rock, it was ultimately determined that sun may not necessarily be too much for the UU tier to handle, and as such, is being Suspect Tested in UU. Expect a discussion thread for Torkoal in UU to be posted soon, and a decision on it's continued status in UU should be decided by next month. Moving down from UU to NU: Frosslass Honchkrow Whimsicott All of these pokemon were below the 1.7% cutoff for usage in UU, and were dropped.
