SweeTforU reacted to TheKrimsonKang in [OU Discussion] Dugtrio
First of all bud; dont ever disrespect my main man trapinch again. Personally I think this whole argument is absurd, dugtrio is barely viable in ou except with very specific team set ups that you can always see coming a mile away. Were this gen 5 and half the mons in ou couldn't just teleport out maybe there would be an argument but as is its literally and I hate to say it; skill issues. Dugtrio is frail as a wet paper bag and has a middling attack stat at best. It gets dominated by every mon currently in the top 5 of ou. It is also totally destroyed by any mon with priority or just reasonable bulk. Easier yet, just use a tracer like porygone to reverse trap it and ice beam it since it cant even 2hko porygone with any move in its learn set. All dugtrio can really hit well is fire type mons and mons that are extremely weak to earthquake or one of its few coverage moves. It also cant trap ghosts like gengar or flying types mandibuzz. It is pretty good at breaking super stall teams that rely on forcing swaps and with the state of ou right now id say thats healthy not unhealthy. Trapinch has the same attack as dugtrio and basically the same hit taking capabilities the only real difference is the speed. Trapinch has the lowest speed of any mon in the game if my memory serves me correctly. In trick room it is capable out outspeeding and ohkoing all of the mons you said it cant,
Earth gem trapinchs eq vs max def empoleon (which nobody runs) 100% chance to ohko
Superpower vs ttar and kabutops, is 100% chance to ko,
stone edge vs multiscale dragonite is a 100% 2hko.
Eq Vs torkoal is 100% chance to ohko
The list goes on
Im not sure why you would run calcs for a mon exclusively used in trick room assuming it would not be in trick room. This seems to be the way you always run your calcs, very similar to when you called for gallades ban and ran calcs for cof without taking mummy into account and called night slash a 2hko even tho it isnt and cof gets pain split and wisp or running weezing calcs without factoring in his gas. Heck I dont even disagree with you man, but i like to win arguments by being correct not dishonest.

SweeTforU reacted to rongrongqi in [OU Discussion] Dugtrio
My ingame id is qqqianx,as a user of Dugtrio(though rarely use it in this season),i have some viewpoints.
First of all, my basic point is that it is Dugtrio+Endeavor that needs to be banned, not Dugtrio itself.Dugtrio often needs to find the right moment to trap the target and the captured targets are limited to those pkms (fragile or restrained pkms) that can be killed by it at most 2 hits. But Endeavor gave him the ability to capture most shields (such as suicune) regardless of the restraint relationship, which is obviously unreasonable.
Dugtrio does not have the complex skill reserves of Mega Gengar, which can achieve sweep relying on trap , and it is not powerful enough to threaten most pkm(of course before it has Endeavor). His only meaning is to form an extremely specialized countermeasure against the few pkms in OU (especially Tyrantiar)( while I have to admit that even if the arena trap is excluded its own strength can bring certain value).
I have always believed that no pkm can intoxicate the meta, not even Garchomp with Sword dance or Hydreigon with Draco Metor. They tend to destory ou when they are in one team with Magnezone or Gallade.
Let’s also look at some common combinations of it. Volcarona, Espeon, Togekiss, etc., their combination with Dugtrio is similar to the Garchomp (sword dance) + Magnezone I mentioned above (of course this combination has been banned). First of all, in terms of destructive power, these three pkms are far less than garchomp. Of course, this is not the point. The important thing is that the team composed of Dugtrio needs to invest a lot of team resources in removing Entry Hazards , and these resources often need to be squeezed out from the walls or stallbreakers. Therefore, This Dugtrio core team will be very passive when facing teams that are not in its countermeasures. Its essence is the extremes of countermeasures. PKMs that are good solutions to the Dugtrio core team are easy to find, but few people will use them because they are not suitable for the OU environment (except of course the recently installed Zapdos).
A long time ago I saw some opinions that arena trap makes the battle uninteresting because trapping reduces the uncertainty of substitutions . But my point is that when your team's mu is terrible, the game will be relatively boring regardless of whether the opponent carries Dugtrio or not. And when the two teams are equalizing matched, even if the opponent carries Dugtrio and can cash it out with one of your pkms, the battle will still be full of the competition of decision making. And this is what the ladder should be.

SweeTforU reacted to DoubleJ in [OU Discussion] Dugtrio
What is this?
Well once again, everyone's favorite Pokemon to abuse has come up for discussion. This thread will allow for players and community members the opportunity to debate whether Dugtrio meets any of our ban criteria for the Over Used (OU) tier.
What to know?
Dugtrio is an enigma. Rarely used (~5-6%) but often mentioned as the root of all evil. Pairing Arena Trap with an extended movepool (thanks DLC...) it has even more options to break down opposing teams. Previously seen as a revenge killer or support, it now is used as an ace for many teams and well supported by Espeon with Magic Bounce and the various Defog and Rapid Spin users we now have access to. Simply put, slap a Focus Sash on this mole(s?) and tell it do work with any combination of moves. More often than not you'll be in a favorable position, as it currently has a 55% win rate in match making.
We know the sets, we know the damage rolls, we know the issue. Please discuss (again).

SweeTforU reacted to YoungCabbage in NEW METHOD: Farm Toxic Orbs 2.5x Faster!
Easy Toxic Orb Farming Method
Created By: @YoungCabbage & @AngryGorilla
***(If you don't like to read check out this YouTube video below)***
This new Toxic Orb Farming Method Is BROKEN! (Farm Toxic Orbs 2.5x FASTER In PokeMMO!
AngryGorillas Video Covering the Topic!
Muk has caused a lot of problems for item farmers eager to get their hands on a Toxic Orb. The reason for this is due to one of its two abilities being Sticky Hold. Which prevents the wild Muks held item from Thief, Trick, Switcharoo, and any other move that steals the held item of a wild Pokemon. Wild Muks can also have the move, Fling. A move that throws the held item as an attack which causes the held item to be consumed thus deleting the item from existence. So what do we do?
@Tnums Created an amazing method and video which utilized a Togekiss with imprison and a reactive gas Weezing which has been very helpful albeit a bit slow. You can Find that Video Here:
[PokeMMO]Toxic Orb Item Farming Guide w/ Repel Trick
So I hit the drawing board and came up with this strategy (Along with the help of my good friend and Angry Gorilla) And we are happy to introduce it to you all today!
The method goes like this:
1. The Location: Celedon City
We are no longer hunting in the Pokémon Mansion, nor the Power Plant. We will actually be in celedon city in the old mans dirty pond. (gross I know)
The encounters for this pond have been organized by @Bestfriends on his amazing "PokeMMO Encounter Index" and can be seen below.
The reason we want to hunt in this pond is because your character actually moves faster in the surf animation then simply sprinting in either the Mansion or the Power Plant. You also get a chance to encounter one of the roaming Legendary Birds since you are doing encounters outdoors. But we obviously only want to encounter Muk, so what do we do?
2. Repel Trick at level 37
Muks only spawn at level 38 and is the highest level Pokémon in the encounter pool. So what we want to do is lead our party with a level 37 Pokémon, and pop a repel so that way only Pokémon with a level HIGHER than 37 will appear. This is called "Repel Tricking." This will only allow Muk to spawn which is what we want. It may feel like it takes a while in between encounters but trust me, sooner or later a Muk will appear. But what Pokémon do we lead with?
3. Dusknoir: The Bane of Sticky Hold
Dusknoir is the PERFECT pick here for many reasons. Lets get into why. 1 in order to Thief the held item from a Muk, you need to be able to do the following.
1: See if Muk is even holding an item.
2: Prevent Muk from using fling.
3: Get rid of Muks "Sticky Hold" ability so you can take the item.
4: Use a move like Trick to steal the item off the Muk.
5: be quick enought to flee the battle after the item has been taken.
And Dusknoir checks all of these boxes with the following build:
This build will work will with any old Dusknoir. You don't need a 5x31 natured Pokémon. The only things you need to ensure this will work is it NEEDS to be level 37 (for the repel trick to work properly) the Hidden Ability Frisk (To see if the wild Muk is holding an item) 252 evs in Sp. Def (to be able to tank Sludge Bomb and Sludge Wave; Muk's two attacking moves) 252 evs in Speed to out-speed the muk and flee the battle, and the moves that you see on screen. Now that we know where, how, and what we are hunting, lets walkthrough the battle.
4. The Battle
The battle is very simple. Just follow these steps.
- Make Sure the level 37 Dusknoir is at the front of your party
- Pop a Repel
- Move around in the pond until you encounter a wild Muk
- If Dusknoir Frisks an item from the Muk move onto the next step. If not, Run away
- Use imprison to block the wild Muk from using Fling
- Use skill swap to get rid of Muks Sticky Hold ability switching it with your own
- Use Trick to steal the item from the Muk
- Run away, put the item in your bag, and repeat!
This method is very simple but very efficient and I have proof from 5 hours of farming using this method. See below.
CabbageGorilla Method:
And the 2 best hours of the Tnums Togekiss weezing strat:
Quite the difference huh? Keep in mind that Muk will not hold the Toxic orb 100% of the time. It also can be found holding a nugget, as well as black sludge. So cross your fingers you get the Toxic Orb to drop! If not, simply continue farming them and you will get one eventually.
And there you have it! by following this method you can farm these toxic orbs roughly 2.5x FASTER than we have been able to in the past! I hope you all find this useful and would love to open the comments to anyone who can make this method even more efficient! Regardless I appreciate you reading this post and wish you luck farming Toxic Orbs!

SweeTforU reacted to Chef in Baton Pass not working?
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but baton pass here does not give the user's stat boosts to another mon, this is intentionally done, not at all a bug. As for what it can do in MMO: it can pass a Substitute doll to the pokemon it switches in. It can also pass on effects from moves like Aqua Ring, Ingrain, and Focus Energy. Some people even use it to switch out mons without getting hit by Pursuit as Pursuit does not attack a pokemon switching out using it.

SweeTforU got a reaction from LeJovi in [OU] Pressure vs Pickpocket Weavile
in general, usually you wont have use of any of weavile abilities. if you run a consumable item then go pickpocket because pressure isn't much of a help. in case of non consumable item like choice band or lifeorb id suggest pressure because pickpocked will have 0 use and pressure might help you in 1 game out of 100

SweeTforU reacted to Ziiiiio in May 2024 Movement Discussion Thread
Dugtrio now could trap more pokemon which he should not to.
Endeavor+eq kills chansey(0hp iv), eq kills mienshao after 1 turn life orb recoil damage. With smack down it even kills Zapdos. With sash+endeavor, it could stops cm Suicune and Reuniclus sweep the game.
In my opinion, Dugtrio could keep it's role to do the counter play: ttar, zone, volcarona, kabutops etc. So most of time it should becomes useless just like it was two years ago with Dugtrio.
When it wasnt 100 atk and no Endeavor, it was fine. We could just nerf it back, if it is still not healthy, ban it.

SweeTforU reacted to gbwead in May 2024 Movement Discussion Thread
Looking at the January 2019 UU metagame, Yanmegga seemed very difficult to stop as well and yet it never got banned:
Most of these mons are NU today. Sure, NU doesn't have Crobat and Snorlax, but NU still has Gigalith, Mantine, Milotic, Golbat, Cryogonal (btw @Imperial you calced Cryogonal with 70 base hp instead of 80), etc.
I'm very confident Yanmegga will be unhealthy, but that's not a reason to ban something without testing it out.
