Mawile is light, double edge is slightly stronger than a super effective low kick

Laughable damage, could be a check. Other guy did 252 HP, 4def which got me confused. How does Mawile retort is my question though? TWave(not sure if it gets)/Toxic or Seismic spam?

It can super fang or toxic or knock off or thunder punch or seismic toss. It doesn't really need to ohko/2hko dodrio for it to be a good counter to it, as knock off will cripple dodrio decently or whatever comes in next. I don't really know if I'd consider mawile to be viable in the meta still, its base stats are just so bad and its main niche as a baton pass user is eliminated for the time being.

Mawile gets toxic/seismic toss. It could be also a good counter for curse miltank psyching up her boosts changes.

There is also poison fang with 50% to badly poison just in case you feel lucky while also doing damage

Edit: It seems this has super fang. There you go, super fang and cripple something for half health.

Thanks BurntZebra, I was looking at smogon rs and superfang wasnt at the moveset.

Also consider crunch to heavily hurt haunter since seismic/toxic/super fang do nothing to it.

Alright guys, I know the best of us can get busy so I thought of helping my buddies out. Therefor I wrote a banning post for it if you decide to ban it, feel free to use if you want.

The tierlist council (hopefully) has decided to ban Dodrio under the offensive Uber characteristics in the UU tier. The Dodrio possesses enormous sweeping capabilities with its 110 base attack, 100 base speed, dual STABs, Low Kick and Hidden Power Grass - the moveset which has the coverage over basically the whole UU tier.

With the access to Life Ball Dodrio can cause huge damage with its moves without having it being locked to a move making it arguably the most broken set for it. Dodrio can sweep basically any team that has been softened at least a little bit (proven by calcs below). The only thing Dodrio should be really scared of is priority moves but with the big chunk of physical defensive Pokemon in the UU tier, priority more likely than not will not turn out to be an issue to Dodrio. In addition Dodrio can beat a softened priority user with its Quick Attack of its own.

One seemingly good counter for Dodrio is Steelix due to its amazing defense and Steel-type. However, due to not being a wall with (good) recovery moves it can be easily worn down and after taking even half damage it no longer works as a Dodrio check. Therefor having essentially no true counters, Dodrio outclasses all the other sweepers in the tier by a mile, such as Swellow, Sneasel, Manectric and Crobat. Since its much easier to counter these aforementioned faster sweepers than Dodrio the viability of those Pokemon are arguably much lesser and therefor Dodrio does not have to be afraid of powerful revenge killers ruining its sweep.

Scarf arguably could limit Dodrio and unless Dodrio runs Scarf too (limiting its power), you could say the sweeping of Dodrio isn't that easy. However, looking at the tier the list of Pokemon that could potentially threaten Dodrio with a Scarf are Lanturn, Breloom, Absol, Altaria, Hitmonlee, Kangaskhan, Nidoking, Zangoose, Pikachu and Haunter. Only a couple of these would be in any way be sensible as Scarfed Pokemon. Therefor Scarf does not limit Dodrio in the way you could think it seemingly does.

Due to these factors Dodrio has a huge strangehold over the UU tier by basically being too good at sweeping the tier needing little to no prediction. Due to these reasons Dodrio has been banned due to being Offensive Uber Characteristics.
