[PSL 6] Administrative Decisions

So this is where the big dog (me) makes all the important decisions and announcements so they don't get lost in the clutter of the HYPE thread. This thread will be designed to announce trades, free agent signings, disciplinary stuff, or really anything that might come up unexpectedly. 

 

Also, please don't post here if you are not the host of PSL or staff.

Announcement:

1. @Walpayer vs @Fabbroo will end in a "no contest" since there is no proof that either player agreed to play today. Let this be a reminder that in the event that your opponent is a "no-show", you will need to provide proof to ensure you are awarded the win for the week. This is a great lesson for all players to have a private forum message between them and their opponent. 
2. In addition, "no contests" and "activity decisions" will not be tolerated in PSL Season 6. If you are unable to play, contact your manager and have them sub you out. Should an activity decision be called against you, you will be suspended for the following week so make every effort you can to get your match completed. This goes for players and managers alike. Would Walpayer have presented proof that they agreed on today as their playing time and FABBROoo failed to show, FABBROoo would have been suspended for Week 3, but considering this was determined as a "no contest", no suspensions will be handed out. This is a warning to every player and manager in the PSL.

1. A major trade has been agreed upon by two of our managers, the details of that trade will be released when all involved players have finished their matches this week. 
2. The players involved in the trade will be added to their new teams and will be activated for Week 4.

1. @Arimanius failed to duel @yangsam at their decided upon time of 6:30pm EDT on Sunday, October 16th, as was evidenced on yangsam's profile feed. Considering this, and the fact that no substitute was offered, Arimanius will lose by activity decision in Week 3. 
2. In addition and per the rules, Arimanius will be suspended for Week 4. There was a clear warning given to all players at the end of Week 2 and unfortunately this decision has to be made. Ari will be reactivated during Week 5.

1. @Arimanius will not be suspended for Week 4 considering his city was suffering from a blackout after an earthquake. Fortunately, Ari and his family are safe.
2. Unfortunately, the Week 3 loss will stand. There will be no extensions given during the regular season regardless of circumstances. Schedule your matches sooner to avoid unforeseen events such as what we've seen today.

Announcement:

1. The Midseason Auction thread will be opened Sunday, October 23rd at 5pm at the conclusion of Week 4 and bidding may begin immediately
2. The Midseason Auction thread will include the rules for managers and will be the location to make bids (classic forum style auction)
3. At the conclusion of Week 4, Free Agency will cease to exist.
   • Any players that are currently free agents may take another shot at joining the PSL in the Midseason Auction, so please go sign up if interested
   • Free Agents that sign up will enter as midseason players, and will thus be awarded half the prize should their team win
   • Free Agents that join the Midseason Auction will have an opening bid of 2k, just like the rest of the players who entered at midseason
4. At the conclusion of the Midseason Auction, any transactions and winning bids will be accredited toward Week 5
5. At the beginning of Week 5, the credits system will cease to exist
   • It is encouraged that managers use their remaining credits to their fullest throughout the Intermission Week (spend up boys)
6. Intermission Brawl matches will be conducted next week, during the Intermission Week
   • The prize for each winning player will be 100k
7. Trades will be accepted until the conclusion of Week 6, the final two weeks will represent the final rendition of our PSL Season 6 Teams en route to the playoffs
8. The Salty Suite matches will be decided upon during Week 7 and will be completed during the "off-week" at the end of the regular season
   • The managers and I will nominate Salty Suite matches over the course of the next three weeks
   • The nominated Salty Suite matches will then be voted upon by the community during Week 6
   • The top-three highest vote-getters will be our Salty Suite matches for Season 6 and will be completed during the "off-week" as stated above
   • The prize for each winning player will be 500k
9. The "off-week" will be held between Week 7 and the start of the Playoffs
   • This will give managers and teams in the playoffs an opportunity to prepare
   • Individual Player and Manager Awards will be voted on by our managers and announced during the "off-week"

Announcement:

1. It brings me great joy to hear that @DoctorPBC has finally used the option to release dead players from his team
2. @EnrriqueX has been released from team Cuboned. 
   • In addition, EnrriqueX will be banned for the remainder of this season and for Season 7 as well. EnrriqueX signed up for the PSL this season and then disappeared from the face of the Earth without warning myself or the community that he would be inactive. His sign up allowed Doc to spend credits on him during the draft with the intent that he would play. This is unsportsmanlike, and not something the PSL should support. Enrrique was not banned until now because Doc was reluctant to release him. I was also hesitant to ban him one week in like Doc initially wanted, but now that we have had enough time for this player to return the decision to make this ban was apparent.
3. @lennyshairynipple (sweendog), has been released from team Cuboned. 
   • In addition, sweendog will be banned for the remainder of this season and for Season 7 as well. Sweendog has a notorious history of signing up for the PSL and disappearing a few weeks in. This is unsportsmanlike and will not be tolerated any further. 
4. It should be noted that if I am not the host of Season 7, I cannot enforce these bans if the new host chooses not to uphold them.

1. Week 5 thread will be released on Sunday, October 30th at 5pm PDT and matches may begin as soon as it is released
2. Teams will no longer earn credits for losses or ties, as there is no need for credits beyond the midseason
3. Free agency has been absolved
4. Any trades or player signings during midseason will be effective for Week 5
5. @Draekyn has been paid 2M for his work on our signatures, he continues to do a good job and earned his reward a bit early
6. At the end of the season, I will make a summary of the season, highlighting the highs, the lows, what went right, what went wrong, and how the champs became the champs (in my eyes). This will hopefully help guide Season 7 with any changes that might need to be made.

1. @DoctorPBC has released @JuniorPT from Team Cuboned. JuniorPT (TeenGohanPT) was purchased during midseason and decided he didn't want to play this PSL because he was put in NU, a tier he listed on his playable tiers. He left the Cuboned PM. Considering this is an outright lack of sportsmanship, JuniorPT will be banned for the remainder of this season (can't play anyways) and also the first half of Season 7. 
2. Week 6 will be the last week of trades for the managers, as stated before. 
3. Let's fucking go and don't forget about those individual awards, salty suite matches, and all the glory at the end of the season. We're almost there. That 50m in DoubleJJ's pockets is just waiting to be spent.

Announcement:

1. With the playoffs looming, there is going to be an update to how seeding works. The top four teams will qualify for the playoffs and will duke it out. Should there be any ties, the "points differential" will be the first tie breaker. The second tie breaker, should there need to be one, will be the head to head match-up. If both teams tied during the regular season, there will be a "mini-playoff". Three matches will be played and one tier will include OU, the other two tiers will be chosen by the two managers. Players will be nominated ASAP and the matches will be completed between Week 7 and the playoffs, hopefully early in the week.

1. It should come as no surprise to most, but Zangoose WILL NOT BE BANNED from the PSL during Week 6. Early week matches have already been played and it would not be fair to alter the meta midweek. The Zangoose ban will be in effect starting Week 7 and moving forward into the playoffs.

1. As with Zangoose, the Snorlax test-ban will not be in effect until the start of Week 7. For the remainder of Week 6, Snorlax will still be allowed in the OU  metagame.

** I was hesitant to accept this trade, but ultimately both Gazelli and ZDFire are great NU players with invites for this current tournament series. ZDFire offers versatility in being able to play OU while Gazelli is fairly restricted to NU. The addition of Dede tilts the trade to be more favorable and thus this is hard to deny (Dede a GOD).
