  1. Hello PokeMMO Community! This is the guide on how to use the "Trade Chat" in PokeMMO. This guide will mainly explain how to sell, trade, and buy things on the trade chat. There have been many instances where players need to clear there PC, or just have to sell some items/TM's/Pokemon for extra money. One Of The Main problems that most people are having, is they are not getting much attention on the trade chat, as it is one of the most hardest things to do especially now since most people are running low on money, the trade chat continuously spams 24/7 with everyone selling and barely anyone buying. -------------------------------------------------------- Trade Chat Used Codes BP = Battle points RP = Reward points WTB = Want To Buy WTS = Want To Sell PM = Private Message Whisp = Whisper Compro = Buy (Spanish) Vendo = Sell (Spanish) LF = Looking For B/O = Buy Out / Best Offer WTT = Want To Trade (Auto-Buy) = Automatically Buy With Specified Price #K = 1,000 ##K = 10,000+ ###K = 100,000+ #M = 1,000,000+ ##M = 10,000,000+ Ty = Thank You ------------------------------------------------------- Phrases For Trade Chat Buying WTB [Pokemon/Item/TM/RP/BP] [Price] Whisper Me WTB [Pokemon/Item/TM/RP/BP] PM Me LF [Pokemon/Item/TM/RP/BP] Paying [Money To Spend] Whisp me WTB [TIER] COMPS PM ME Paying [Money To Spend] Selling WTS [Pokemon/Item/TM/RP/BP] [Price] Whisp me WTS [Pokemon/Item/TM/RP/BP] LF [Preferred Price] or Offers PM me WTS [(Shiny/Comp) Pokemon] B/O:[Best Offer From Player] (Auto-Buy [Preferred Money]) --------------------------------------------------- Before Using Trade Chat Before using the trade chat; this part is very important because before you start to buy and sell things on the trade chat, you are going to need some money first. This may sound like a lot to some and a little to some others, but to start off, in the trade chat you will want to start with at least 300k. This amount of money is great to start with! you are now open to buying some breeders/ditto's/vanity items and TM's/HM's. To obtain this money, you can simply do an island run/farm and grind some money, you can make around 125k doing islands 5-7 with Payday LVL 100 Persian holding an amulet coin. A lot of new users just jump right into the trade chat with barely any money to spend on buying anything. This is not the way to do it. Many people just think this: "Well I can just sell one of my comps and then start trading lol" "Can't I just sell some of my things to make money?" Yes these are both correct, but if you do this you will run low on stock, of Pokemon, items and your service will not last very long in the trading business, unless one of your friends hands you money, or if you just start overpricing your stuff to the max. Note: Try not to over price things, it scares buyers away. So basically this section was about the money you need before you start trading. Trust me the extra money in the beginning of becoming a seller will be helpful in the future... very helpful! --------------------------------------------------------------- Where Are The Buyers? The buyers can be found anywhere, some of them lurk trade chat quietly, and some of them constantly spam the trade chat and other chats saying things such as: "WTB DITTO 2x31 ADAMANT ATT/DEF WHISPER ME NOW!". Saying long phrases in all CAPS LOCKS do not attract sellers or buyers, especially when you try to buy in "Global Chat' or "Channel Chat", that makes you seem like you do not know what you are doing while trading, and lets people know they can buy some valuable things from you for a very low price. These will be some notes for the buyers: Do Not Spam Other Chats With Your Trade Messages Try To Look For People Selling Pokemon/Items that you might be interested in, or are similar to what you are looking for, and try to whisper them and ask if they have what you want. If they say no, then move along, it doesn't hurt to try Sometimes You Can Try Your Team Chat, Team Mates are usually there to help, so you can try talking to them. If Your Looking For A Specific vanity Item and specific color, do not say: "WTB DARK GREEN DEVIL WINGS PAYING 380k WHISPER ME!" You will get more sellers if you say something like this: "Wtb 1000RP Paying 380k-400k PM me" ------------------------------------------- Easiest Items To Sell This is a List of the most sold/easiest items to sell on the trade chat: Everstone (1x) = 20k Choice Band = 200k Leftovers = 40k 500RP = 200K - 250k 1000RP = 400k - 450k EXP Share = 35k - 65k Lucky Egg = 300k - 400k Light Ball = 35k Blue/Green/Red/Yellow Shards = 20k - 40k 2x31 - 6x31 Competitive Natured Pokemon = 250k - 2M 2x31+ Breeders = 150k+ Future Comps = 300k+ 1x31/2x31 Ditto's = Easily one of the most easiest things to sell in trade chat goes for about 20k - 125k. Note: Some OF The Prices Listed Above Are Not How Much The Items/Pokemon Value. However, it is how much players sell them in trade chat, and you can easily get that amount of money off of those items/Pokemon. ---------------------------------------------- DO NOT DO THESE THINGS Do Not Spam or Post Trades Outside of Trade Chat into other chats (Global,Normal,Shout,Channel) (Said This Already) Try Not To Use All CAPS (unless needed on Special Occasion) If you are not getting offers you don't want, try to bid the item/Pokemon. (B/O:___ ) (Auto-Buy___) Do Not Get SCAMMED, make all your trades wisely, and be wise about your decisions. Like vanity items, do not let users try on them if they have not purchased yet, as you can now link the vanity item, so do not get scammed. Link everything and always take money at the same time as the item/Pokemon. Do Not Release Anything in your PC, always try trade chat, you might be able to get 3k off of something you would have trashed. Do Not Constantly Whisper Sellers bad offers if they have ignored you or already told you no over 5 times, this gets annoying to all sellers. Be wise about your whispers, try not to get blocked. for example: Player1: "WTS [Shiny Charizard] Whisper me offers, only taking serious offers" Player2: "How much?" Player1: "Only taking offers" Player2: "Okay how about 300k?" Player1: "Blocked Player2 With The Reason "RightClick" Do not let that happen to you. Un-Tradeable items Master Ball (Master Ball = 80k-100k) most spammers/trolls/ new players will put this, this item is untradeable. All Key Items Gift Pokémon, Pokémon that where given to buy an NPC or by a function in-game other then wild encounters, or purchasing. Rare Candy's HMs ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ How To Grab The Attention On Trade Chat This part is very hard to do in the trade chat. The easiest way to do this is to have a wide variety of things to sell. For example: Shiny's, Large yield of Everstones, Great comps, great deals!, and also rare Vanity Items. These things will grab so much attention from trade chat, even if you do not have such good items/Pokemon you can grab attention by having an active bid, such as one that keeps on rising as the trade chat rolls along, example: Player1: "[Shiny Grimer] B/O:500k (Auto-Buy 3M) Player2: *Whispers* "550k bro" Player1: "[Shiny Grimer] B/O: 550k @Player2 (Auto-Buy 3M) These types of sells/trades always grab peoples attention. As it seems like a lot of people are fighting for that one item/Pokemon more people will be interested and jump into the play, even if they might have not wanted it in the first place. This tactic usually only works for Shinys/ Exclusive Vanity, or really great Competitive Pokemon. Another way to grab attention in the trade chat is by having very cheap things, or things that barely make profit. Yes I Know this is very risky, however, if you sell a lot, then you will eventually start to make more and more money as you progress in the trading business. Remember, that getting the most attention, and having the most customers is a great way to get a lot of money. This tactic I am about to show you is what I see a lot of users doing, this one is where you constantly sell the same content. Players who are on the trade chat everyday selling one specific thing, if its shinys/everstones/comps/dittos, you always know where to find them because they keep consistent with what they are selling and with there prices. This way is how you get consistent and loyal customers. You have a higher chance of selling your ditto's if you sell ditto's everyday, rather then a person who decides to clear there PC of the 1x31 Ditto's they have. ---------------------------- Scammers Scammers, this will be a short section, as I just want to point out a few notes about how to know if your among a scammer, and to know how to prevent them from scamming you: Do Not Let Them "Try On" Your Vanity Items. Do Not Let Them "Walk Around, to look cool with" Your shiny Pokemon. Make sure you trade AT THE SAME TIME this will prevent all scamming. Always check the Pokemon/item they put up in the trade boxes/slots Get to know the buyer first a little bit, if you suspect they will scam you. If They Have Scammed in the past and you know about it, STAY AWAY ----------------------- Trolls Trolls can be found anywhere, in channel chat, global, and normal. In most cases its best to just ignore them or easily block them. people who put an offer of 400k for a Shiny Rapidash or something of far more value then 400k, it is best to ignore them. if they keep on bothering you, that is when you block them. Notes: "There are A LOT of trolls on trade chat, please be aware of this with all your transactions." ------------------------------------------------------------- When you know its a scammer Player1: "Hey Can I try on your Electric Storm hair I want to see how it looks on me?" Player2: "No I can just link it to you" Player1: "nvm then" Stay AWAY From that ------------------------------------------------ Conclusion | Summary To sum it all up, make sure you are using your trade chat properly. I see a lot of users who do not know how to trade properly, or are just playing around with selling/buying. Please do not use the trade chat if you are not serious, it has enough spam already. Remember these last few notes, grab all the attention without spamming, sell at cheapest possible, do not over price, do not whisper someone really bad offers and expect them not to block/ignore you, DO NOT GET SCAMMED, do not go in other chats with your trades, if you ever do go in other chats with your trade please say: "W/c" or "Sorry w/c" So we know it was a mistake. I hope you all read this guide and begin to sell as much as possible, enjoy making money and not misusing the trade chat. -------------------- Rules Do Not Reply Scammers, You can reply your experiences of being scammed, but no pointing out the scammers, as it is not allowed in PokeMMO. 5. It's that time of the week again. CatchMMO Hype??! Today there's an exclusive new mechanic, the 31-Bonus! For each IV equal to 31, you'll get +5! This helps promote the distinct advantage of having a 31 speed moreso than a 30 speed and avoids only being rewarded 1 extra point for it. Additionally, we're not forcing you to submit only once, so submissions can be spread out more throughout the duration of the event, and should optimize the time it takes to announce results. Date / Time: Thursday, September 24th 7PM EDT // 11PM GMT Registrations: No registrations required! Location Hoenn Safari Zone, Channel 7 Prize: $1,000,000 Rules The event is one hour long. The goal is to catch the best pokemon, based off its IVs, nature, and rarity. Final score = Total of all six IVs + Rarity value + Nature bonus + 31 Bonus (+5 for each IV equal to 31) To submit your pokemon, link it via whisper to a staff member. The pokemon must have been caught by yourself within the timeframe of the event. Submissions will close 10 minutes after the deadline. You may overwrite your previous submission by submitting again. No fishing. If it's otherwise not listed below, you can't catch it. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined through earliest catch time. 6. Instead of previewing only one item at a time in the gift shop, I suggest an option that allows you to preview multiple items to create or edit your style. To be honest its hard to decide what to get when you don't know how the combo will work out. This could work into character customization 2.0 nicely.

  13. This is my ELEVENTH forum post after playing this game for around one month(almost hitting 200hr game-time), and apparently i can now post on the suggestion box, and i hope all of you reading this can understand what i want to convey and do point out if there are parts where it is not clear enough :) First of all, i hope there is no such thread yet and i think there probably aren't any since IV's being visible was just implemented not long ago. If there is really such a thread do link me to it though Basically what made me struck upon this idea was after reading this post by DrCraig [spoiler] Posted 11 September 2015 - 11:03 AM Regarding the costs of breeding utilities like you said JJ, I completely agree. The costs for breeding are ridiculous. Sure a "15k Brace" and a "5k gender select" seem like reasonable prices. Hell, they look cheap right? Wrong. I was just in the situation where I am breeding a breeder, the usual grind bullshit I love. I put time into catching both wild pokemon and breed them together for 30k in braces and 5k for the gender. I just spent 35k to make onebreeder. Only one breeder which I am going to have to combine with another to just kill it off. 35k for 1 egg? That's such garbage. Let's make a hypothetical scenario: I breed an egg Total Cost: 35k Let's assume th average trainer payout is 4k *Which it is not, they give you chump change So let's do maths. 35/4=8.75 So it takes me approximately 9 trainers to earn enough yen to make one egg. ONE. This is assuming 4k payout each. That is absolutely ridiculous that I need to spend the time to beat 9 NPCs to earn enough money to make one egg. You can not tell me there are plenty of NPCs either because there are not. You can only battle every 6 hours and most of the PCs only give 2k or even less anyway. That's complete garbage. The value of money and value of goods to purchase have some terrible relationship. Money is tough to earn and tough to keep. Yen is such a necessity, yet it is impossible to maintain a sufficient amount[/spoiler] So, why not make obtaining AN EGG(a 2*31IV pokemon basically) a bit more easier and cheaper? 1) So the idea generally is to let players to be able have the option to buyback one of the parent that is used for breeding for a fee which is mathematically lower than the cost price (35k~40k if you count in the time and effort you put in when breeding a 2*31pokemon) I would say forking out 20~30k for it can be considered a reasonable price.(do correct me if i am wrong). Further emendations would be a slightly higher price for pokemon which belong to two egg groups, i.e. 20k for a tentacool(one egg group) and 25k for a corphish(two egg groups) Do take note this is only applicable to 2*31 pokes as i personally feel making this option available for 3*31's can be a bit too game-breaking. 2) After that, we need to prevent people from abusing the system above to get back godly pokes, i.e. 31/30/30/30/30/31. For that, another rule has to be implemented which is probably something like -- the pokemon's other 4 non-31 IVs cannot be more than 80 together(avg 20 for each stat). This number can be changed higher or lower for the better good. 20 is just an example and i personally believe the average can be set around 21 or 22, as long as the avg IV's together with the 2*31 wont make the pokemon you bought back worthy enough to be called a competitive. Another rule would be there cannot be a third IV which is higher than a certain number, i.e. 26. This is the number i personally have no idea what should be set for it. Basically, the number should be low enough that you will not consider it as a stat good enough to be bred - with a brace/ on your comps. 3) Up next, is another problem, what if i have a 2*31 but the average is just one or a bit more points higher(80 but your poke has 81avg) or it is one or a bit more points higher than the latter highest IV rule and you really only want to use it as a buyback breeder only? You can probably ignore this and just opt to buyback the other parent instead but just in case someone insists on buying back that particular pokemon. I personally think that one way to solve this is the 'hard rock method'. If randomly lowering our 4*31 comps' IVs for a desired HP is just too much for us, why not implement more usage for hard rocks? A new function that can be implemented would be if you use a hard rock on a 2*31 pokemon(which satisfies the points in no.2) their other non-31 IV's will automatically be randomly lowered until it fulfills the points in no.2. After applying the 3 points above, we will need to think of the impact of it to the game as a whole. I will try my best to list out most of the things which will be affected that i can think of. Do give more suggestions in this part :D First of all, the most obvious result is definitely comps will be slightly easier, faster and cheaper to breed. Let's assume the cost of a 2*31 is 40k(included 2 braces, time, and effort, not included the ridiculous 21k gender selection). If the buyback price is set at 20,25,30,35k, the cost for a breeding a breeder/comp can be POTENTIALLY lowered/rebated as shown in spoiler below. [spoiler] Total 31's / Buyback Price 20k 25k 30k 35k 3 (one potential bb) 20k 15k 10k 5k 4 (two potential bb) 40k 30k 20k 10k 5 (four potential bb) 80k 60k 40k 20k 6 (eight potential bb) 160k 120k 80k 40k [/spoiler] One special point i would like to point out is do we want to limit which parent(male/female) can be taken back or do we allow the player to choose? If we do not limit players to be only able to take back the male parent, players can easily breed rare 3*31 pokes without losing the 2*31 female one. My current opinion is having too much 3*31 pokes might make them not so rare and thus lowering their prices. But really, i cannot imagine what might happen though to the market if female 2*31 can be bought back. My personal opinion is probably too much 3*31 clones in the market? Overall, i would suggest that the player can only buy back the female poke if it isn't in the evolutionary line of any Ubers or OU. And if players want to buy back a breeder which has gender disparity, a tiny amount of extra charge can be added too as long as it is not too ridiculous. As for genderless breeding, the best is probably to keep it as it is now which both parents will be killed. If it is breeding with ditto, i would also say, let's just kill both parents for convenience sake :v Second, let's review from the buyer's perspective. The numbers are not too high to really change the pricing of comps but rather provides buyers a chance to purchase/nego comps at a more lower price. Did i forgot to mention, the egg moves which you will be spending more time and money to put on the male parent can be get back at a lower price? If mods decided this is too much, maybe they can put in extra charges to get back male pokes with tutored or egg moves. To put it easier, less grinding :3 Thirdly, is the breeder's perspective. The breeding cost definitely has not gone down, but with the option of buying back one of the parents, it automatically feels like you've just gotten a deal for buying a 2*31 for XXk price only. After that, it will be up to the player to sell the parent for something less than 40k or continue using it as a breeder or trade it for another 2*31. In a nutshell, the breeder cannot breed a pokemon cheaper (which makes new players have to grind for a bit too), but each time they breed a 3*31, they will automatically get some instant value back assuming they have enough yen to pay for the buyback. The other non-monetary value would be saving time to get your 2*31's, which is quite valuable imo. Then in turn, they can sell the comp they just breed for a little bit cheaper or people will be able to value, "Is it cheaper and more worthwhile for me to buy at X price or should i just breed it myself because of the buyback system." I believe this can push the breeders to sell comps at a more lower price. Fourth, is the impact on comp scene and the market. This should push the comp scene to become more competitive as newcomers can get good comps and vets can get their hands on more diverse movesets comps faster too. Next, the market will have more 2*31 pokes(at least that's what i think). This can be good as 2*31 can potentially become another sub-currency in PokeMMO like BP/RP. People are able to actively trade 2*31 among themselves, which speeds up breeding because you save the time to hunt the 1*31 and fuse them together and currently not much people are doing this(trading breeders) in the trade channel. This might even lead to creation of teams which focuses on trading 2*31 among themselves for simpler breeding. You can also potentially borrow one parent from a friend and buy it back to return to your friend at the cost of 20~30k, which is somewhat rewarding for players imo. Another possibility would be a loaning market emerging.(This might be a little bit risky for the owner) Let's say A wants a certain 2*31 breeder and B has it. A wants to loan it for 1k. A trades a reasonable buying price for a 2*31(35~40k) for the breeder. After using it and buying it back, let's say for 20k. A trades back B's pokemon for 39k. Result: A gets a 2*31 breeder for 21k and B earns 1k for loaning. If A decides to run away with the breeder, B earns maybe a little for selling the 2*31 to A while A gets a 2*31 breeder for a fair price. The risk is probably equivalent to lending players asking for rental pokes to do e4. Generally, if 2*31 Pokes can be bought back after breeding with certain T&C, i believe the grinding of players can be reduced to a certain amount. Furthermore, the cost of breeding, i.e. braces and ability pills, can still maintain their current price which prevents the yen from becoming too weak which of course leads to inflation. In a sense, it's a system that rewards breeders while at the same time does not reduce the staple prices which the mods believe in. I remember seeing people trying to sell their 5*31 for days and when you breed, you should not need to wait for days to be able to get some profit. Insta value back to breeders, what else can be better? Of course, there will be no worries which too much clones exists since there will probably be 2*31' breeders only, which is actually a good thing for comp and breeding players. I would say even if implementing something like this to the game will probably only solve part of PokeMMO's current problems, it's still better than nothing :) I mean, who doesn't like getting at least one of the parents back? Please feel free to comment and give suggestions if there are any perspectives i missed out or if there is any major flaw to implementing this system other than programming it. Do forgive me if the structure of this post sucks  [spoiler]I hope i made myself somewhat understandable :P [/spoiler]

  14. That's a silly conclusion to come to when only 4 out of the 17 currently active moderating staff team are actually female~ If an individual is interested in joining the staff team they should message a Senior Game Master (myself, Kudasai and Hisagi). Please be aware that many factors depend on if your application is successful including experience with the game, if you have made any notable contributions to the community and past and present behaviour.

  16. --- No longer Support, I stop playing, I will not look in this Thread ---- Hello Trainers!, I did download the Mod: https://forums.pokemmo.eu/index.php?/topic/56472-mod-animated-battle-sprites-from-xy-oras/ And after a while I had the idea to make the normal Pokemons to theyre Mega version if it is possible. So I did create in the last few hours an update for the Mod from GigoloimCabrio. Now have every Pokemon like Charizard a Mega version instead of the normal. Charizard and Mewto have 2 forms, so I did give them the X for normal and Y for the Shiny Version. My Game is in German, because I am German, but I think the screens say more as enough how cool it now is :D I did just replace some Pokemons (37) but Gigolo made over 400 , so thats why I let the credits in the Mod info to his Thread, I just made a small optional Update. It would be to hard to update every pokemon from hand like I it did so I did update the complete pack. So you just have to download it and replace the other sprites. That is the faster way for the consumers, it was harder for me but now easy for you. Some Pokemons are not correct placed, I have no idea how to change theyre position, so life with it or use the old one. I hope its okay for GigoloimCabrio. Greetings Dracken How to Install: 1. klick on the Download 2. Download it. 3. put all the 4 .zip folders in your PokeMmo->Data->mods Folder. 4. start the Game and open at the right bottom corner the Mod management. 5. enable every of the Mod. 6. Start the game 7. use one of the Mega Pokemon and be happy ^^. -----DOWNLOAD----- https://mega.nz/#F!Xtd2xB4R!XScV9PFLILv94pNGQ3q1vg (cansomeone say if it work? first time uploaded on mega) (the download, not the mod^^) Screenshots: (From my Mega pokemons ^_^) --- Just by the way, if you see here wrong English you can say it to me and I will change it :)

  20. Iirc this has already been suggested. What stops a player from spriting an innapropriate item and wearing it on their head? Where will these sprites be stored? What happens to the old cosmetics since they can now be replicated for 15k? There's also a major concern: This kind of system would make our game look like shit. In a perfect world where all our players were really mature, top tier pixel artists this would be great. In reality however most of our players are young, immature and can't sprite for shit. The game would end up with most of the players having some poorly made outfit.

  23. Wow you put a lot of work into this. I hope your idea isn't torn apart... as most are. People are gonna be all like... nah no good. Then somebodies gonna be like... ehh maybe. Then the idea will have been forgotten. My take on this? It's a videogame. I want it to be difficult. I want it to be time-consuming. I want the game to be hard so I know when I get to the competitive level... I will be competing among the elite. I've not had a hard time making money. I think all the people who complain about that have a hard time saving money. I think that 99% of the stuff in-game is appropriately priced. Pokemon breeding is also appropriately priced in my opinion. It is not too expensive, but expensive enough to the point where I will not waste pokemon, braces, or time on crap breeds... and feel fulfilled when you finally get that perfect breed you were working towards. Thank you for taking the time and effort to try to provide a solution to what you view as a problem.

  25. Except experienced players don't join in for entry fee tournaments because they know the standard policy in this community is to donate a prize as a host. Doing it for the community and for the competitive scene. Obviously, if one does not have enough possessions to donate can you make a "free" tournament and ask for possible donators which I will tell this game has plenty of. Oh yeah, I'm probably getting called a noob too here from you but whatever but that nature and lack of 31 speed makes that hardly even a competitive in the eyes of pretty much all of the experienced comp community. But oh well.

  30. Played bigbangattack, and needless to say it was a great match. He brought a surprise Rain team and I fought through it as best I can. The match came down to my Ursaring setting up Swords Dance on an EQ from Forretress. The Forretress died the next turn to Fire Punch and in came Gyarados with the Intimidate. At +1, my Return would have killed, but I was flinched and killed in two hits by Waterfall. After a bit of scrambling, bigbangattack's Ludicolo was able to set-up Rain Dance and broke my Paralyzed Porygon2. gg brah, 100k to you good sir.

  34. If worded differently it still comes across wrong. There is a difference between showing genuine concern and basically telling players that we don't think they will look for certain tools. This one falls to the latter because it's forcing the tools into their face. At the end of the day, it is the player's responsibility to look up the value of their Pokemon, if they indeed care about getting what is viewed as a fair price for it. While you may think that's a bad way to look at things, that is reality. We do not moderate trade disputes at all. Trades are the responsibility of the players involved. If a player agrees to sell a shiny for less than what is listed in Value Discussion, then that is their choice and they have to live with it. No one is forcing them to click each of the 3 confirmations that exist to confirm a trade.
