Few notes:
- Some rich person boosted the prize pool to 250m
- As a result, the amount of tiers per week will be expanded to 6, and the amount of teams will be expanded to 7 (extending regular season play by 1 week)
- Misdreavus has been quick banned from doubles. Scraggy, Murkrow, Arena Trap, and Download are still available to be used

A lot of questions have come up about the amount of teams and players. We decided 6 teams and 4 tiers would be a safe starting point, but if we get blown away by signups (30+ joined the discord in the first hour), definitely will look into expanding to an 8 team and or 5 tier format (likely adding another lc ou)

Welcome to PokeMMO's first Little Cup Premier League!!
LCPL is a team-based event, and these teams are formed by managers. Managers are selected by the hosts of the event. Players can sign up to be put on the auction list that managers use to bid on players to fill their teams. Once the auction is over, the competition starts! Every week the seven LCPL teams face off against each other in a Round Robin style. The 4 best performing teams then face off in the Playoffs for a chance to take the grand prize.

The "Scrubs":

This is long overdue in player selection events imo, but players that are not selected in the player auction will still have the opportunity to play in this event as a collective group: The "Scrubs" (or however they'd like to call themselves). They will compete against the rest of the "selected players'" teams and have the opportunity to take names and prove people wrong.

The team will be run by myself and gbwead, with the emphasis on the player development and learning the tier.
Regular Season:

#1-#6 will advance to the playoffs
Playoffs:

Seeds 3-6 will face each other in the quarterfinals (1-2 have get a bye and 7th has a bye)

The remaining 4 teams face each other in semifinals -> finals -> winner

There is a match for 3rd place.

No ties are possible in semis. Instead, 5 tiers will be played: OULC x2, UULC, Doubles LC, and Gen 8 LC
About scheduling matches:
-
Players have 4 days to schedule their battles. If one of the parties fail to respond in that timeframe, proof must be given to the hosts until the end of Saturday. The team of the player who failed to schedule either tries to get the match done, or they are enforced a sub who is able to play at the requested times.

If no sub is able to play at those times, the other team gets an activity win.

If a sub is able to play at those times, they both must attend the match.

Extensions can be given only once.

Players need to provide at least 3 different times.

If no player attempted to schedule a match until the end of Saturday AND if they don't show up to play at the end of the week (Wednesday). Both teams are forced to sub, and an extension is given to the new players. After this sub, any rule stated previously still applies.
About usage:

Because Little Cup has no automated usage gathering system, each match played IN GAME will need to be accompanied by a screenshot of the Team Preview. Showdown replays are sufficient and won't need said screen. This gives us a small but better than nothing sample size for future tiering decisions and LCPLs.
About disconnections:

No #rematches are enforced, unless:
-
The player disconnected before the 3 turn mark.
-
In which case the disconnected player MUST send their team to the hosts up to 30 seconds after they log back OR send their teams via discord/forums before they log back (preferable).

In the instance no host/small council is present at the time, the disconnected player has to send their team to another player of the opposing team (Team means pokes + items + moves + spreads)
Otherwise, opposing team is granted the win.
Note: The first # turns must be played the same. It’s up to the hosts to declare whether this disconnection is valid or not
About coaching:

Whoever is caught coaching is suspended for 3 weeks (Banned if caught twice), and the opposing team is granted an extra win. (TLDR; don't coach)

Coaching; an often more capable player that informs another player of what moves to make. It’s a practice we heavily discourage. In our mind, there is only one way to coach correctly. Before and after the matches. If you really care about your teammates winning, make an actual effort to make them a better player. Discuss strategies, teams or even counter teams with them. Make them capable and independent. This is how we create a stronger competitive environment. Pokémon is like a game of chess, do you see chess coaches whisper moves into their students’ ears during a tournament? No, they put effort into coaching before and after matches. The same applies to Pokémon.
Auction:

The auction will take place one week before the competition in a short and happy auction. The auction will be done in the corresponding Discord.

Bids are declared by managers in a special channel in this Discord

Manager's will have 100 credits, and bids will start at 2 credits
-
The bid timer is 20 seconds, after which the player joins the team of the manager that bid the last (prompts for 20s, 10s, 5s).

Managers are allowed to bid on as many players as they would like, but each team MUST have at least 6 members.

Bids that are impossible due to credit restrictions and bids that haven’t been declared on the Discord channel, will be voided.

A public Excel sheet will be used to keep track of every bid. Managers will receive instructions on how to update their bids on the sheet, ensuring an updated and accessible sheet at all times.
Punishments:

Players can be fined for misconduct this season.

Small infractions are punished with a yellow card. 2 yellow cards warrant a red card. Yellow card encompasses:

Harassment, unresponsiveness, lack of effort to schedule matches, showing up late for matches without notice, not announcing matches soon enough or disrespecting teammates.

Red carded players are also suspended for 1-2 weeks.

The 100/1,000 RP thing seems to be what's driving most of the bans. You could make the argument that a constant gtl refresher might not see the whole item's name, and while that's true, it's probably on them? + If a player really wanted to get cheap 1,000 rp, is it not too much work to type that in the search bar and snipe without worry?
imo the best fix would be to make the colors of the items distinct enough (even for colorblind people) and observe the buying and selling trend from there

No because, they can’t implement price caps by the ot, and an ot EverDaryl mon is significantly more valuable than most ot’s regardless of ivs

I’m aware that they implemented price caps on the 100rp voucher item (somewhere between 450k-1m). That’s fine for now, but could hinder the market in the future should rp prices surge again. So to compound this bandaid like treatment, they’re now permabanning (just saw the op’s screen) players for breaking market rules they never knew existed? They couldn’t do it again if they tried thanks to the price cap, why remove them from the game entirely?

As that item sits on the gtl for hours and hours, it really is the buyers fault if they buy said overpriced item, since it’s been up that long for a reason, and there’s not just an extra 0 in the item name but a comma as well. The only people who would be at a disadvantage here are the snipers who spam refresh and click fast as soon as an item’s listed without reading the full item name, and I’m indifferent to gtl snipers losing some money
