  1. No movements are set yet, this is purely a thread for discussion where people can bring up whatever they think is relevant as long as its on the topic of the tiers and things moving for whatever reason you want to argue for.  Off topic posts will still be removed and or warned for.

Based on usage the following things are above or below a 4.36% cutoff:

    Crobat is above in OU

Jellicent and Cloyster are below in OU

Additionally Xatu, Staraptor, and Nidoking are all below in OU, but are new to having their HA, more on them near the bottom of the post.

Ambipom, Clefable, Golbat, and Poliwrath are above the cutoff in UU

Wobbuffet is below the cutoff in UU

Additionally, I went through and grabbed some usage of pokemon since their HA was released, this is a very limited scope look at these specific pokemon, it does not give a true reflection of the tier but it might still give an idea of what the future could potentially look like for each individual mon.

Usage taken from OU for each individual mons release time: First number is total times it was used, 2nd is usage%, third is times it won, and last is win%.  It doesn't look pretty but it was a very long and painful task to put this together.

The same as above but for UU:

If theres anything anybody wishes to see that doesn't involve full usage and doesn't go overboard, please let me know and I will see if I can do anything for it.

  2. I don't have the sheets to do this anymore so I only do small snippets, the usage % contains everything as does the win%, but i'm only going to bother showing the usage for the top 10.  This is from this mornings UU tournament.

Monster Overall Teams Usage Percentage Winning Teams Win Rate
    Rotom [Heat Rotom] (657) 27 39.71% 16 59.26%
    Crobat (169) 26 38.24% 13 50.00%
    Crawdaunt (342) 23 33.82% 17 73.91%
    Flygon (330) 19 27.94% 10 52.63%
    Bronzong (437) 18 26.47% 7 38.89%
    Toxicroak (454) 14 20.59% 10 71.43%
    Feraligatr (160) 13 19.12% 8 61.54%
    Machamp (68) 13 19.12% 6 46.15%
    Mandibuzz (630) 12 17.65% 9 75.00%
    Druddigon (621) 11 16.18% 8 72.73%
  3. We at the very least will be reviewing the things that we have noticed have made big shifts at the end of this month when we normally do usage movements, some things may move based off of it some things may not.

I will be releasing a rough version of that list at the time they are brought up probably sometime in the next 3 days.  TC are also free to bring subjects up, especially if they see any big shifts that i may miss.

i see assumptions over crobat rising while its just above the cut off at the moment and we have over a month for the next usage change on the tiers.

irrelevant matter and no action needed at all about it. crobat is a UU staple and while it always was a pokemon that can function in OU pretty well it ended up not moving up.

with infiltrator there is a bigger possibility yes. but the best action is to wait and see. discussing about moving it is just theories. it belongs to UU for now and let it be there until the community decides to move it up if they want to by using. this matter should end, its unhealthy for tiering

It was well below before it released and then when it did saw a massive spike, its not entirely an assumption.

Real question here , why we dont just ban sand vail and snow cloak from pvp ? We dont have Moody yet (and i hope we never get moody ), accupressure isnt a big deal imo ( and idk if im unlucky or not but when i played accupressure my evasion boost came when all the other were at +6) and disable the boost on contrary isnt the key to make serp more healthy
so this is a serious question

Well for one you'd have to make the argument that any of those mons are broken, and the general consensus when asking that question has always been, they aren't.

Verdad la acupresión no es un problema lo mismo me pasó :v

El aumento de evasión para mi propio si me afecta ya q hab q suban la evasion no sé si es por mi mala suerte pero perdí varios pvp por esas tipos de habilidades opino lo mismo

Please provide an English translation with posts.

Nah Umbra, that's the thing- NATURALLY, Xatu and every other HA mon which gets released should start from OU, but some mons aren't OU material even with their hidden abilities and TC is doing a good job placing them in lower tiers so far (aside from Crawdaunt which is stupidly OP in UU currently, based on what I have seen, but it will most likely move up itself with usage because it's just so good in OU as well).

I'm very curious about what @suigin said in October movement thread about Garchomp's and Gliscor's Sand Veil. Can you Munyu or TC address it? It'd be great if we could get rid of evasion- boosting abilities. The less RNG we have in our meta, the better.

The way I understand it there are 2 avenues for that to happen.

If Garchomp is going to go to Ubers because of Sand Veil, they can push to have the ability disabled again.

    Or

They can try to push through a blanket "all evasion boosts are non-functional" rule for evasion clause if they can find a good reason for the policy.

But I guess this is a difficult thing to do because nobody has made a serious attempt at it.

I wouldn't be mad if @pachimabring back primary intent bullshit just to get it banned if thats what it takes

He is no longer a part of TC, forum ranks just haven't been updated yet they tend to lag behind.

For all those who complain, I am not an expert or a competitive gamer but always, when something new is implemented, you have to learn how to use it. The same when you play against, you must learn to defend yourself, that's what it's all about, it's a game. You are playing.

Sometimes nothing is good for people, they complained for years about something that is now implemented and now they complain too. They wanted Johto? They also have Johto next year. Enjoy old man, learn to play, have fun, if you don't like it, go play Showdown. When you learn, come back.

I think they understand that but the thing is you can't prepare for something that wasn't a thing when the tournament started.  Also they want to be able to get out there and catch these mons and can't during the middle of a tournament.  I don't know what the solution is but I would hate to see tournaments canceled for an undefined amount of time.

I think it is outrageous that a hidden ability as strong as Gliscor's Poison Heal gets released at the start of a Shiny OU tournament. It catches everyone off guard and favours the richest players who are able to immediately get a competitive Poison Heal Gliscor to get a huge advantage for the rest of the tournament as no one is supposed to be prepared to face it.

Can something be done for the timing of the releases, like releasing "weaker" hidden abilities during official tournaments?

They're random and tournaments are setup way ahead of time, I don't know if this is something we can really solve.

You won't get ties if you have an odd number of TC members.

We still could, to not be a tie under current rules requires 2 more votes than the second option so that one theoretical vote wouldn't change the outcome.  So in a scenario of 6 members you need 4v2, but in a scenario of 7 members you would need 5v2 as 4v3 would not meet the requirement, which would be even more difficult to accomplish.

  10. There has been discussion within TC recently of procedure, specifically how ties are handled and I am curious for some outside opinions on this as well.  Normally, under normal circumstances for normal bans etc.  A tie would result in a pokemon staying where it was.  With these HA mons I have been using the lowest voted tier in the event of a tie. There have been some dissenting opinions on this that think these mons should be in the highest voted tier.

What does this mean?  It means in the current environment, Sableye would be UU, Quagsire would still be UU, and Crawdaunt would be OU.
