  1. Seeing as this time I can give my opinion purely as a spectator I will give predictions a go. Keep in mind I probably don't even know who half of these people are now so probably best to not take my opinions to heart.

    8th:

    Spoiler

Monkey. A few good picks? Too many credits left, not sure if you had an actual plan in the auction.

    7th:

    Spoiler

RDL. Pretty much the same as Monkey, just think this team is overall slightly stronger.

    6th:

    Spoiler

Wallaro. A few good players but seems like some random players were thrown in to fill the roster.

    5th:

    Spoiler

Necas. The team has the potential to place really well but I feel like the weeks will always be close to either a win or loss.

    4th:

    Spoiler

Shadow. Tried to recreate his last team with some success, however looks like the other managers were wise to his plan. I feel like there may be a similar situation to Necas with most weeks being very close wins or losses.

    3rd:

    Spoiler

Queest. Probably the only manager that could pull off managing a roster like that, from what I know most of those players are decent.

    2nd:

    Spoiler

Enchanteur. A good group of solid players and some high profile names, unless they heavily underperform I see them going far.

    1st:

    Spoiler

zLumiere. Bunch of NORE players, I may be a bit biased but they should all perform decently well enough to take the dub.

  2. I would also like to address the issue of the removal of defiant on the Empoleon line (and I guess to a lesser extent early bird on Shiftry, but I doubt that ability was being utilized in the same fashion). I thought the philosophy for not having uber mons was to not expend resources on something that becomes useless. Does this not also apply to physically attacking Empoleons? The whole idea was to use defiant for these sets. If the devs are so keen to be flexible on introducing and retaining whatever they want, you could argue a case for shifting defiant to the Empoleons line second ability slot (since it is currently empty). Obviously, you can still run swords dance Empoleon without defiant but the effectiveness of this set would plummet. I know this is a somewhat niche case and in the grand scheme of things this doesn't matter much but it would be nice to know if this design philosophy has changed to just "no ubers because we said so".

  3. So Gallade was too strong for OU, so it was nerfed but still had enough usage for OU. I don't really see the need to buff it, not every mon can be OU (especially top usage). Does this mean other mons should get a random buff to become OU? I know the devs want to follow the updates for the games but that's impossible unless they retroactively remove moves that were deleted in the current gens. Honestly, it is nice to see that the devs are willing to implement these changes but this change to Gallade is not true to the original games and could push it back to ubers.

Unfortunately , gyarados just can do something if it runs power whip and don't get burned by scald Lum or sub
    breloom makes sense
Tentacruel just loses in 1v1 if get burned (no recovery) Toxic or knock
Blissey and Chansey can't do anything vs cune You dont care for vincunes scald, tp out and bait the limited uses of it by switching back in.
Spdef Roserade is a weaker version of amoonguss, it can't even break his sub if and loses to PP stall or ice beam variants Then use amoongus, both should beat it
Shaymin isn't available Yes it is, everyone had the chance to get it. Only excuse is if you are really new to the game.
things as serperior suffer so much because need to waste Leaf Storm PP (4) protect+subs spam can just disable serperior in long games Thats why I suggested another move, the cune player can bait out your leaf storms if they play right but thats an aspect of the game.
yea, Cune looks like broken, but as i said before, suspect>>> TC Quickban , maybe in the future with new hidden abilities as Storm Drain Cradily, Water Absorb seismitoad or with new legendaries as Celebi/Raikou it becomes more handeable There are already water absorb mons, just because something is in a lower tier doesn't mean its bad. Meta shifts happen all the time.

  5. Gyarados (dd)
Breloom (poison heal or bullet seed tech)
    Mantine/Tenta/Milotic (haze)
    Rotom (nasty plot)
Suicune mirror (roar or cm with hidden power coverage)
    Serperior (leaf storm + giga/dpulse)
    Blissy/Chansey tanks +6 0 SpA Suicune Scald vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 105-124 (29.4 - 34.7%) -- 9.3% chance to 3HKO
    Spdef Roserade
    Spdef Shaymin

Just a few things that should be able to take Suicune on (I'm sure there's a long list but I'm not going through it all). Keep in mind the move pool is quite shallow, and I assume most people are worried about VinCune. A more offensive variant could beat some of these but that would open itself up to being beaten in other ways.

  6. Kangaskhan's Golden Horde (2) vs (1) Sweet Child O'Mime

    OU: ArtOfKilling vs iMat

    OU: ZioMOJI vs Juanchoqui

    OU: Azphiel vs AlphaxStriker

Absolutely Darkness (2) vs (1) Cloddy Cloud Clodsires

    OU: CHUCKunso vs shuiqing

    OU: Lunarck vs ShanQi

    OU: zLumiere vs Queest

Beedrilled (0) vs (3) Fire Force

    OU: Gabuchox vs Heichicoda

    OU: Brumoso vs CarolML

    OU: Aerun vs Pablobacas

Stark Tyrants (3) vs (0) My Dress Up Deerling

    OU: ForFour vs Luke

    OU: Mkns vs Elvessss

    OU: Facursa vs LpZ

  7. 1) B = A < E < D = C

    2) P < O < M < N < J < K = L < H < I < F < G

The MVP in my eyes is the person that contributes to the team the most, hence I prioritise winrate above all else (even if it is a single tier). The next critera for me would be how flexible the player was and if they showed a heavy detriment to trying to flex to another tier (could have brought more value playing their main tier).

Edit: Forgot to mention, if a player decides to not play a week I would count it as a loss (since they did not contribute)

  8. I assume this decision was made to reduce the amount of battles reaching the 1 hour threshold, regardless I believe this to be a somewhat hasty decision. The current Pokemon, items and movepools available are not the same as generation 9, I suspect a large contributor to the recovery nerfs was the introduction of heavy duty boots in generation 8 and perhaps the inclusion of three new top tier unaware Pokemon that would be difficult to break without nerfing their recovery. If a change like this was made, why do we not have the boosted power of knock off as well? Megas and Z-crystals no longer exist (in gen 8/9) to facilitate that they provide counter play to the move. Some sort of explanation is required for the thought process behind this specific change as the metagame will be completely reshaped.

You gain a turn that will only give to you a free turn to switch and nothing else.

What? This is just wrong you can attack with your current mon or use a crippling status move e.g. taunt or toxic.

Also, Rotom cannot be OHKO'ed by 90% of OU and if your mon are slower than him or aren't capable of OHKO it after enter on field, he will use volt switch and regain their advantage.

Well if you knew he would defog the turn before you can switch into a mon with a good matchup, position yourself properly to take advantage. I don't see why you added some random statistic to Rotom being OHKO'd that is not a measurement to what a good mon is, nor is it relevant to the discussion of defog boosting evasion being unfair.

Also, you will have your field clean, so the mon that will enter will enter without take damage or get poisoned by toxic spikes, if possible.

Yeah but they will get hit by whatever you had out unless volt switch killed your mon. Most good players can predict the game state in a few turns, surely you can find a way to punish the rotom coming in then defogging then volt switching.

This discussion is not based on rotom in ou, it is about if evasion should be allowed in competitive play. Why should evasion steal wins from another player?

  10. Evasion is always uncompetitive, just ban it outright. For those saying how will you punish defog without this interaction? Well the player using defog in this situation is already being punished for having to use a turn that you could capitalise on, boosting evasion is just a rng fish that promotes sub-optimal play.

  11. Let crobat/ditto rise with usage, it is envitable when new things drop they have some hype around it especially ditto since a competitive one is super accessible. Regardless the lower tiers will have to wait for the dust to settle before they can try out some of the new toys (namely Xatu/Espeon whichever happens to fall in favour), though I do find is strange crawdaunt is being tested in UU but not Nidoking.

Also I doubt it is a point of discussion but Gardevoir's hidden ability did release so by extension Gallade now has access to justified, I didn't see it mentioned but imo it is an upgrade to his previous ability (more reliable to activate).
