P2 Stays banned, Shaymin next, then one more BL1 after that and we can move onto BL2.  Am getting sick though so may slow down a bit.

Since there's no heavy duty boots and no flame body talent , i guess it will be NU

Imo it should start in UU. Could argue that it'll end up in NU but at least it has potential both offensively and as a toxic stalling mon

Or maybe the sun boosted fire attacks can make it stay on UU. Lack of boots hurts a lot for him.

There were no boots in gen 4, 5, 6 and 7 yet Moltres was a good mon. And so were Volcarona and Yanmega. 
This argument has to stop, sure it will not be as strong as it is in gen8 or gen9 few months back, but it still has solid arguments to its name that deserve to be considered for at least UU 👍

I would agree on this if you say CB/specs wallbreaker, a mon with boosting move has a chance to solve, and Wobb has high risk to guess Encore/Counter either. The effect that Wobb can bring still rely on prediction from both side.

Boots yeah. But there is one more thing to consider- Moltres will not have it's Flame Body ability and that is really big, when combined with lack of boots. It might be really good though offensively for sun teams, it has really good coverage, access to u-turn and 125 base satk is no joke

Didn't have it in gen4 >> UU
Moltres had the ability in gen5 (RU) and gen6 (RUBL) and yet none of its Smogon sets use Flame Body.

Wonder if it was even legal to use it in those gens honestly. I should go into the builder and check that out, but that's interesting to see.

Moltres without boots can't really come into the field to punish pivoting with Flame Body as much, it was mostly used as a wallbreaker or at least a mon that's subbing and doing shenanigans once on the field, not the type of mon that's pivoting around to spread status. We're talking about an entirely different Moltres indeed 👍
