  4. You know what would really shave time in pokedex or be helpful with team building for the newer players? search option to look for abilities, whether that's typing in the search section or a "advanced search" tool. similar to typing "band" in PC to find which mon has your item. I can't recall how many time's I've been asked "which Pokémon has this ability?" or "is this a HA on x pokemon" let me know what you think. ^^

  15. Yo ThinkNicer, i ll say what is my personnal opinion and probably the opinion of many other players. First of all you hosted the PSL and it was a really big event for our pvp community, for some players you were a good host for some not but that's not the point here , it happend from september to december so it wasnt a short event. On semi final you already planned to host a new "big event" and it will also take some times to end. This new event isnt already halfway and you already planned to host another event , bro let us breath ! Some players want to host other event by themself and they cant organize because if there are several event at the same time , the hype will gone and the cashprice will be divided between these event. If we have a world cup every month or a PSL every month these event will die. I hope you dont take it personnaly but please let other people organize some event and/or can you wait a little bit before hosting new things

  17. Hi there, As you can tell by the title I have recently been working on a UI Redesign Concept for PokeMMO. I have a lot of previous graphic design experience, and one of the fields I enjoy working on the most is GUI design. I really enjoy PokeMMO, however at times I feel that the UI can be frustrating to navigate, and although the current UI does fit with the game pretty well. I feel like it could be a lot more modernized, clean and generally more optimized for ease of access and better appearance, which is what I have attempted to do here. I first thought about making a theme, however after looking into it and reading some forum posts I realized that it would restrict a lot of what I was hoping to change, so I decided to make a full-blown concept instead for a new more engaging and pleasing UI. I would like to clarify that this is NOT a theme/mod It is only a concept and at the moment there is no way to FULLY implement this into the game. I am considering making a theme or possibly a mod that allows for the complete changes and additions I have made to be included properly, however that would take some time and research so I decided to get some feedback from the community first. Below are some of the screenshots of the concept UI as well as comparisons (mine on the left) with the current UI being used in the game. (I am in no way criticizing the current UI) however I do believe some things could be changed and optimized for a more user-friendly clean experience. The current UI does an amazing job at sticking with the classic retro Pokémon look, but in my opinion PokeMMO is growing into a more vast and complex game that incorporates the classic feeling of the original Pokémon games and also that of an amazing MMO and believe the UI should also branch towards that. Feel free to look through the screenshots, the UI is not fully completed and a lot of things are still in the works, (such as a Login Screen, Store Menu, Breeding Menu and more.) This is what I have completed so far; Pokémon Summary Character Inventory / Bag Hotbar / Toolbars Global Trade Link Trainer Card PC Deposit Box Party Bar Chat Box Minimap (New) Top Left Display Battle Screen I would appreciate any feedback/suggestions or general opinions from the community and let me know what you would like to see for future concepts! Full Redesign Battle Screen Pokémon Summary Character Inventory / Bag Trainer Card PC Deposit Box Party Bar Hotbar Toolbar Chat Box Minimap (New) Top Left Display Global Trade Link I should also say that the concept UI at the moment uses a blue accent, but I would make this user-customizable for a range of colors (including dark). I am also considering on making a webpage of sorts that will showcase the full UI and allow users to interact with it as they would in game, this would help showcase the changes I have made behind the scenes along with animations and any new updates I make, let me know if that's something you would be interested in. Thanks for reading!

Disfruten! KANTO Dinero Obtenido: $95,233 ($142,849 con Moneda Amuleto) Batallas: 19 [12 Entrenadores, 7 Líderes de Gimnasio) Tiempo Aprox. : 45-60 minutos Guía: HOENN Dinero Obtenido: $101,812 ($152,718 con Moneda Amuleto) Batallas: 19 (11 Entrenadores, 8 Gimnasios) Tiempo Estimado: 45-60 Minutos Guías: TESELIA Dinero Obtenido: $131,681 ($197,521 con Moneda Amuleto) Batallas: 19 (9 entrenadores, 10 Líderes de Gimnasio) Tiempo Estimado: 60-75 minutos Guías:

  21. Welcome all, after the flop that was the first, so called, 'Players Cup', I've decided to try my hand at it again. But with a different approach this time! Do you want to test your mettle? Dip your feet into the OU tier? Or do you want to proof you're the best there is? Then join the Players Cup tournament and show the community what you've got! This is how it will work: Stage I: The first stage of the tournament will be played Swiss style. In Swiss, players face different opponent in each round, the number of rounds is determined by the amount of players that have entered the tournament. After the first round everyone gets paired up with people that have performed similarly. So if you've won in round 1, you will face other winners in round 2. After all the rounds are over, a 'ladder ranking' is created, which brings us to.. Stage II: After the Swiss rounds have been concluded we enter the Double Elimination stage. The top cut of the first stage will make it to this stage. Again this depends on how many people have entered the tournament. If there are up to 30 players for example, top cut would be the top 8. As stated, the bracket used will be a Double Elimination bracket, which means that you get two chances before you're knocked out of the tournament permanently. Furthermore all matches at this stage will be a best of 3. The winner of this tournament will undoubtedly be one of the best OU players of PokeMMO at that moment. But StinkTwicer, this tournament will last longer than two Einstein tournaments combined?! Yes, and no, every round will be played weekly. With scheduling rules like PSL and PBS. Prize: this will mostly be based on donation. I would like to reach 10m, to do the following 1st: 7.5m 2nd: 2m 3rd: 500k If we don't reach that number I'll split total donation 70% to first and 30% to second. Signing up: You may sign up starting now until Sunday 21st 23:59 UTC+1. The first week will start on Monday 22nd. To sign up post your IGN in the thread. Donations: 1m / 10m 1m - ThinkNicer Additional information on tournament layout: Registered Players (11):

    [Fun]Shiny Simulate

Every day every player(based on ip) has 3 times to sumilate, the reset time is 4am UTC+8. As for reference purposes,i would say sorry about it,please dont use it as a reference, there is a long article about it. We all know that the probability of a coin toss appearing in both sides is almost 50%,From the observations, that's true,From the formula, there is also reasoning, that is, the limit of frequency is probability.BUT i would say it important that it is very difficult to infer principles from phenomena because we must find the effective factors first.Take the coin model for example,Although the probability of both sides is almost 50%,but the real effective factors to make a influence are might be angle of throw, power of throw, the coin params it self. Back to pokemmo shiny system,we need to find out which params really decide the shiny and then make a probability model of it and finally come to a conclusion. Its forward reasoning and its not so hard. Deduce principle from phenomenon is reverse reasoning and thats what we do nows, and we are stopped by finding out the real effective params. Many great principles of nature have been discovered, and they have been proved by innumerable reverse inferences. They benefit human beings. But we dont need to spend so much time figuring out how shiny system works in pokemmo, shiny pokemon is not only about your dream, your luck, your hard work, but also, more about ecnomy in game.DEVs and Staffs wont tell you much. So,how is my simulator works? Firstly, i will check the shinyrate, take 1/30k as example,i now get a init seed whos value is 30k.Then,i will check the way you hunting,if you hunt in sinlge, there will be 1 pokemon random seed under the init seed and 1 shiny pokemon random seed under the init seed,if the pokemon random seed equals the shiny pokemon random seed, that means you hunt a shiny. For the hordes x3 or x5,there will be the same number of hordes' pokemon random seed under the init seed, and 1 shiny pokemon random seed under init seed,if the shiny pokemon random seed equals any of the pokemon random seeds, you hunt a shiny in hordes,if the equal number is more than 1,you hunt shinys in hordes. Is the shiny system in pokemmo close to my simulator?Definately Not!The number of effective factors might be beyond your imagination. And will players influence each other when hunting shinys?Makde a probability model and then determine this. But how can we make it? At last,i tittle it 'fun' and push the 'fun' before the 'simulate',i want guys just to enjoy the fun of shiny, the fun of sharing, but not the simulation of shiny which is not real. But fun is real.

  27. I rather have people saying something than it staying silent, so thanks! I'll give my perspective. Often I see comp players complaining about there not being any events worth doing, that automated tours are just a form of ladder etc. These are the same people that push for a new PSL a few months after it has been finished. The fact that we finished our 13th PSL, while PSL being like 7 years old, tells us a story of lack of competitive events and the boredom of comp players. Having a PSL more than once a year is a mistake. It takes away from the novelyy and prestige of the competition. So that means people probably want something else, but apparently they don't. It also doesn't help that I can't offer 100m prize pools ofc. Also comparing this competition to PSL isn't fair, even comparing it to PBS is a stretch. PSL is indeed an exhausting event for everyone involved and is something actively played by 90+ players. PBS is something that is played by like 36 people and so it's scope is already way smaller, which is perfectly fine. Now for tournaments like these, these require the least amount of effort if you're already an OU player. You could spam the same team over and over if you wish. Or just have a few teams in rotation. Which most people already have. The last stage of the competition would be the most intensive and that's when you can compare it to time investment similar to PBS probably. And again, it is one match per week. And if you do the PBS (which most players don't) it's 2 matches per week. So in my mind there is enough room for other events that run on one date. For me the weekly format is more preferable than having a 6 hour long tournament that I have to sit through at once. Even then, I tried to host a similar comp in one go, and almost no one showed up for that either. So for me it's a big questionmark. What does this comp community want? Does it want more events? Or does it just want events with big prize money? Because we can't keep having multiple PSLs each year.

  38. Hello, my suggestion is simple. The Chinese New Year event is really cool and more, but the part where the leaderboard works, for me, is kind of boring, having to play for more than 6 hours to get a place in the rank is not human, I don't have this time and I know many don't either. So my suggestion is maybe to change the way the leaderboard is scored or to make the event faster.

    If Johto is coming

If they add Johto it is almost 100% certain they will use the HG/SS remakes for a couple reasons. 1) The data structure for the Pokemon in the original G/S/C is entirely different from what we have now. Back in Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokemon didn't have EVs and IVs, they have DVs. They used a different means of calculating stats. This is the big reason why you couldn't trade from G/S/C to R/S/E or FR/LG. This is also why FR/LG exist in Gen 3, to give you access to the Gen 1 & 2 Pokemon that don't spawn in Hoenn. 2) The NDS sprites already pull from HG/SS for those graphic styles in Hoenn. Why would they try to reconcile the difference in sprites between GBA, NDS, and GB/GBC? 3) Everything that already exists in Gen 2 also exists in HG/SS with some changes. HG/SS also adds more potential endgame content, Pokeathlon anyone? It doesn't make sense to go all the way back to 1999 and add less content when you can use what you already have. 4) They already know how to read and render from an NDS file. In order to use GB/GBC files they would need to write different code to handle it, and then reconcile issues with point 1. At that point it'd be much better to cut their losses and work from the NDS remakes.

  41. Any significant profit will probably take years. The game has changed, well.. the 'vanity game' has changed. Luckiky for the dev team, there are definitely so called 'whales' playing this game now that seriously buy stacks of 99 of a vanity item. With this mask, you can bet that some person has stacked hundreds of them. So the market is way more full with vanities than a few years ago. In short, it's gonna take a long ass time before any vanities even double in value like they did in the past.

  46. Good day, Sgod! Congrats on beating all regions. As of now, you can currently participate in weekly official events, we also celebrate seasonal events such as Halloween, Christmas and the lunar year. There are currently no 2v2 PVP battles, but you can take on double battles against PVE content by linking with a friend and heading to the battle tower located within the battle frontier in Hoenn. Most shiny hunters use the sweet scent method, they find a pokemon which can be found in hordes and by using the sweet scent move they can force hordes in an area making the encounter easier, although if the location isn't near a pokemon center you'll need leppa berries or ethers to refill your PP. Hope you carry on enjoying the game and good luck!
