I don’t know why I need to answer, lucario is tested, I didn’t support lucario or whatever, I just want to do my own opinion about it,

i see all these calc and discussions but nothing better than just test it by myself.

most complaining players didn’t even play UU ya zebi

If the best way to assess the situation is to play the meta yourself instead of discussing, then we might as well poll the public so they can make the decisions, right?

Primeape is lv81, giving it a speed stat of 201. Flygon is lv77, giving it 199. To make this easier to figure out mid-battle, possible speed stats are displayed in a tooltip.

If something can carry a move that reduces its speed like Slowbro which can carry Trick Room, both possibilities are also shown. Choice Scarf and other speed modifying items aren't included though, so you'll still need to figure those out yourself.

yeah i understand that but i just assumed that speed tiers would still be relative to normal battles. thanks

Remember when we all said that shiny rewards are useless in 4x25 2x31, they said they cant made them 6x31 because it can ruin the economy and nobody will pay again high value shiny. (lol)

Now they added rewards in pvp, where we can have free 4 times 4x25 2x31 comp every 2 weeks for everyone who play a little, which actually really influe the economy by offering like 1000 no-perfects comps each weeks, and made breeders less used compare to before (120.000 daily gtl entry vs now 230.000, but I assume there is more and more players than before).

I really wants to know whats the argument now for not make shiny rewards 6x31.

Let's not forget that, in an attempt to give us more rare shiny prizes, a significant proportion of the rare shiny market was destroyed with the introduction of the new hordes. Murkrow, Ralts, Gligar, Sneasel, Houndour and other rares are now effectively worthless because they're easily farmable with sweet scent.

Not only do we rarely ever see these as prizes because of their prize cooldown system (despite them now being classified as common), the argument against buffing shiny prize IVs to preserve the shiny economy no longer holds water. The rare shiny market is now over-saturated because of a new system that was introduced to avoid exactly this problem.

  4. Looks pretty solid to me. My biggest concern would be Medicham, but that mon causes problems for most cores regardless. I also haven't really used Bulk Up Swampert in this meta so I can't comment on its effectiveness, but Haze Vaporeon and Dusclops are quite common. Having said that it could definitely be strong in the right circumstances. Taunt on Crobat instead of Toxic could also be beneficial but that's really down to personal preference.

The best way to test a team is to just get into matchmaking and find out where its biggest weaknesses lie through experience. It looks like a fine team to start with to me.

I'm not sure I see the point in adding more matchmaking tiers into the modern game when the current ones (like little cup) are already being phased out due to being unpopular.

For the health of the competitive scene, it is probably a more worthwhile investment to just push harder for NU, doubles, etc.

There is already no shortage of things to breed. In fact, the sheer quantity of necessities to breed are probably a great factor why people don't play every tier.

If we make them divide their resources not only between OU/UU/NU but also add gen 3 to the mix, well, that'll just take away from uu/nu.

...That said, the latter half of your suggestion seems very agreeable.

Just having a different, old-school server in the title screen.

Your resources meant for NU don't need to be sacrificed to get some gen 3 comps. It's a completely different ecosystem.

I guess what I'm saying is. I wouldn't settle for "just the gen 3 matchmaking". I wouldn't play it. It's the same game with just another arbitrary niche competitive tier.

I want all or nothing, homie. The suggestion is really good if we go for the old-school server.

Yeah, I actually completely agree. I was struggling to come up with anything to flesh out the matchmaking side of this suggestion with, until I had a thought about an entirely separate server.

My heart actually lies with the oldschool server suggestion but I was hesitant to commit to it because it’s probably the least realistic idea. Having said that, a big part of the reason why Blizzard and Jagex were able to release their respective classic servers is because they still had all the old code archived from when the live game was in those states. Maybe that’s also the case here - who knows.

Another issue I see with a separate server is that it would also require a lot more staff - especially if tournaments are held manually again too. Or maybe the current competitive coordinators could also be responsible for Silph Tournaments on the oldschool server since everything on the live server is now automated.

    Lots of possibilities

  6. As an older player, I often look back at the pre-Unova tiers with a lot of nostalgia. With some inspiration from other games, it occurred to me that it would be an awesome idea if a secondary, retro server was implemented that was formatted to the old gen 3 game. Much like how WoW and Runescape have their respective old school servers, it could be a server rolled back to a time before GTL and automated matchmaking/tournaments, so that we could really relive the good old days of having to spam in vermilion to find a 6v6 tm ou battle.

  7. Historically, complex bans were always avoided like the plague because they would set a precedent that would be difficult to follow... but seeing as this precedent has already been set by the hydreigon, garchomp and wobbuffet nerfs, it begs the question: why can’t diglett/dugtrio just lose arena trap?

Dugtrio doesn’t sweep through teams singlehandedly like the aforementioned do, but it has an uncompetitive and frankly stupid ability that completely changes the dynamic of battles and invalidates several viable pokemon in every tier without even being sent out from its ball. Just get rid of it please.
