Firstly, fuck you tor, you're the one who should help with these scenarios. The betting rules imply you owe the cash. If this was the other way round, spart would instead have to pay and you wouldn't bat an eyelid. Nobody is forced to accept the rules when betting, but most people do imply they are accepted when betting with each other using the thread. If you've got problems with the rules, you should have said something beforehand. The betting thread should automatically agree with the rules when using the thread to save people from these sorts if situations. Maybe something to add to the thread next season. Next season I'll be betting thread host again. We've had 1 quit half way through, another host scam 7m and blacklist themselves, tor hasnt updated the thread since he started. Leave it to the professionals. Edit: Oh and fyi, I am the one who made that rule "activity wins not voiding team bets", this was because teams would often be losing/winning heavily then an activity win/lose would void the bet which created more problems than it caused. Nobody said anything bad about change for the past 3 seasons but il give the rules a good look at next season and try improve upon them.

To put it into perspective I lost a bet to Kizhaz last season because Arimanius got hit by an earthquake. Fucked up my week, eventually fucked up my season and it fucked up my bet Kiz still got his money, because from his perspective he had done nothing wrong, one of my players couldnt make it and his team ultimately won regardless of circumstances @Moetal, I implore you to pay. It undermines the betting system, it undermines your attempts at a mock PSL and it undermines your integrity. It will be an extremely scummy move to not pay

Just giving my opinion here, I feel like both Spartacus and Moetal are right, I wouldn't like to pay a debt for a shitty activity win but it was Moetal mistake not to state that the bet was going to be voided if the result is decided by a host decision or something related, so Spartacus is right in claiming the money. I know it must not be good to have to pay a debt for a shitty decision (not like it was an easy one jj, not blaming you here, more like blaming the current rules we have and the players for not playing their match, even tho I personally would have given a no contest or in this particular case one more day to play the match) but you did the right thing paying Moe Moe, next time just make sure to write every situation where you would like to void a bet so things like this don't occur again. This shouldn't be only for you but for everyone from now on cause lately a lot of people are doing shitty stuff when betting and that's not cool.

I figure you're working on this prize hp selection stuff, but I think you really need to push for it asap as it seems to be one of the community's most pressing concerns. A lot of prizes just aren't optimized, and I feel like staff have to either consciously think about 'what kind of prize doesn't need hidden power' or just completely ignore that criteria and put out something subpar. I think a better UI for winning the prize would simply be to choose an IV for each stat. HP: ATK: and so on. and tbh, just completely sack the cap on how many 31s you can have. This is a stance I've taken since before the implementation of gift shinies, and just figured we would slowly snowball up there. starting with 1x31, then 2x31, and as people get less and less satisfied, well, we'd keep bumping. Thing is, doesn't go much above 6x31. Just put it there and it's the best prize it needs to be. And with such a detailed IV selection menu, well, you jsut pick your 30s. alternatively, the drop downs could just have 0, 1, 30 and 31. 0-1 is necessary if you are trying to run a low speed set for some reason, maybe with an upcoming trick room. or for aesthetic 0 atk on a special sweeper

@Moetal, dont take it personal, we had a great last season and I have nothing against u. as you keep saying the 2 matchs both shouldnt not counted, well I know, shits happens but is it really fair to us that you send out sub on Sat? especially fak up all 4 players schedule and me/Havs have prepared for a bit and ready to fight and ye, Spart didnt offer sub when he knows I cant play sparkie, but again, is this fair to us that just send a player to play UU(which might not be his main tier) and got no time to prepare. Not telling that its ur guys fault to send out sub late, but in this scenarios, we got 1 win out of 2 matchs, is it really too much? sry for my bad english but I hope you get what I mean.

I have a suggestion that some people may like it because of the suspense, or some might hate it due to the lack of competitive skill. I think we should have more 1v1 tournaments! I find them unique and it builds a sense of mystery as to what players might bring. Chansey? Zangoose? Metagross? Who knows?
