What caused the margin to rise/drop to increase/decrease respectively? Last month it was 5.5% and up to move up, 3% and below to go down. Was this change due to the LNY event?

I was really cooking up a storm for the likely NU drops (given the previous drop percentage) but eh, that's water under the bridge.

E: Speaking on the Vaporeon retest, I am still not sure if I would agree on having it back in the tier. Sure, we have our bulky waters like Mantine, Milotic, Quag, Alo or Quil (etc) but they all have exploitable weaknesses that makes them manageable within the tier like not having overwhelming bulk, reliable recovery and incredible utility unlike Vaporeon.

With 130/60/90 Bulk you are able reliably take on a vast amount of threats that reside in the tier, along with being about to wish-pass and stack CMs make it seem like an overwhelming threat akin to having Suicine drop to UU. For Vaporeon to be somewhat manageable in NU, you would need to have a ton of drops occur at a time.

The margin got changed because with the previous usage statistics it caused a lot of Pokemon to Yo-Yo between UU and NU respectively. By changing the usage as it is currently thanks to @gbwead and others, the lower tiers are now a lot more stable with 'major' changes only occurring on the third month instead.

Regarding Vaporeon, unless I misunderstood what you said, you're unable to pass stat changes on MMO. The main issue with Vaporeon was its combination of incredible bulk being able to handle the majority of physical threats in the tier who couldn't switch in safely in case of a Scald burn, decent special attack, its Wish + Protect combination (considering the fact that other recovery moves are nerfed) and the moveset of Toxic/Heal Bell pressuring other mons.

There's nothing in the tier that has changed since Vaporeon was banned so in my opinion I don't think this should be unbanned. Milotic is a bulky wall, but Vaporeon + Wish was the main issue personally.

Are one of these players you or are you spectating someone else?  Tooltips appear to be working fine for me(see screenshots).  Also please make bug reports @ https://support.pokemmo.com/ as it will ensure they get seen, it may not be today as things are pretty overwhelmed atm but they will get seen soon enough.

Sorry for the late reply, from my understanding a lot of these visual glitches are mainly occurring from spectating someone else. I've tried using that website to report issues in the past and despite having the correct login details, it doesn't seem to let me access the page which is why I report stuff here.

I think this method will work no matter how hard the raid is. It's broken.

Edit: I have to say though the guy that figured it out is insane. Would have never even thought about it.

Realistically I think that the difference between a 2-star and 5-star raid will be widely noticeable. The main thing to consider is that it's in the testing stage at the moment so this is the opportunity for the devs to spot any bugs but mostly identify if any nerfs/buffs are needed.

I have a feeling that when it's polished up, it'll be a lot more tougher with it being difficult to pull off cheesy strats, but hopefully we'll get much better rewards.

  5. Sigh...

First off, the Lunar New Year celebration isn't 'only' one day, so it doesn't mean that the event automatically begins at midnight like half the community believes it should...

    image.png.ddcf884d0392b7fa1dd939bef4eedb5a.png

Secondly, this is probably the event they would not ever want to skip due to being one of its most successful ones. It's also a Saturday evening/Sunday morning as I type this, where many people are usually busy and would be the least likely an event release.

Thirdly, as I mentioned on another post, it's likely that the potential delay could be because of the message in the change log below, and I know that if this wasn't here then you guys would be spending your time crying about this as well:

    image.thumb.png.034c2ef586c213d6ad5369ffb61f40bb.png

Finally, they also have to add the new movesets from the Gen 9 DLC (I don't think this takes too long to be honest), and ensuring things go smoothly when the Anniversary Event releases as I know the community will start howling about that immediately after.

P.S. I'm no mouthpiece for the devs, just annoying how people automatically think an event has to begin at midnight on the day and if it's one minute late they suddenly cry thinking it's cancelled etc... just use some common sense.

Welp! The Excat Date of LNY Event Update is Not Happening after all... We're now Entering to the Delayed LNY Event starting Tomorrow until by the End of February or Leap Year. Last 11th Anniversary Event was Canceled due to Johto Updates & we don't want to make LNY Event get Canceled too. If this happened again before March Arrived as LNY Event has been Canceled, someone will go Riot (Peacefully) as bringing Pitchfork & Torch.

You need to touch some grass dude, and that's me putting it nicely...

The potential delay could also be because of the feature they wanted the community to trial out originally during the holiday event.

  7. I asked Rache about this and she said it was best to raise it here with Tier Council.

Why do you guys currently find Acupressure not to be a problem right now when although it's RNG dependent and Quagsire fully counters it (e.g. Drapion in NU), the ability Moody was banned and it also clearly breaks the Evasion Clause making it uncompetitive?

I feel regardless of how bad the Pokemon is using it (e.g. Tentacruel/Drapion) we should not be allowing such uncompetitive stuff like this - just to clarify my issue is with the Evasion boost rather than anything else.

Would TC consider banning/nerfing this since it's entirely your decision?

  8. I was just curious from TC members, are you guys planning to allow Kingler in UT? The reason I asked is because usage wise it was supposed to drop, but it's currently locked in NU. There've been a few tournaments where UT was included, so would be helpful for future reference.

  9. Congratulations to @atlewis and Can't Stop Meowth's for winning this event, really tough opponents and thoroughly deserved.

I would like to thank @Quinn010 for hosting another great event and picking me as a manager, it was a great experience and an enjoyable one. I would like to thank all my teammates for being continuously active, supportive, and dedicated despite the prize pool not being the best compared to other events.

About the event itself, it ran smoothly but if there will be another edition next time then these would be my suggestions:

    • All random battles are BO3 as this is hugely RNG dependent
    • Potentially replace Loser's Game with Rotation Battles which also involves skill with a chess-like mindset
    • Keep Untiered, VGC, Monotype as they are are
    • If C&B becomes a thing, do not include the remove Pokemon rule each time as that makes it completely RNG based

Once again, thank you and I look forward to hopefully becoming a manager at a future event.

  10. This will likely only benefit a small section of the community, but I thought it would be a nice idea for the developers to consider implementing the ability for people to include multiple listings of the same vanity item on GTL in a future update.

Currently, you're now able to do this with event items (e.g. Goodie bags, red envelopes), RP and particles. I feel that adding this will help people who may have multiple stacks of a certain item while not clogging up GTL with repetitive items.

The listing system would work the same ($25,000 per item listed).

I know this would be a low priority but would be great to have this considered.

  11. I sincerely hope that now NU/UU has been the best it's been for a good while, TC don't decide to screw it up by bringing back overpowered stuff...

Surely there's not much to bring back down as hardly anything has changed? And as for the person who mentioned bringing Nidoqueen just because of Milotic, that's not a good enough justification IMO. It's like asking to bring back Vaporeon because we have Eelektross.

Also Rhyperior should be fine in NU imo.

    The rest should stay banned.

I disagree, I feel Rhyperior would still be really strong in the tier despite its x4 weakness to water/grass. If there was any Pokemon from that list we *could* consider testing again, it would be Shaymin but looking at the sp def % rate from Seed Flare (since devs like customising rates and Shaymin is pretty much non-existent right now).

Porygon2 was another one I would be keen to test, but I know that it's been tested twice and banned both times.

NU has had no balance changes for 2 months, and it seems like it will take up to 3 months with the same situation. They should at least consider reducing Zoroark or even Blaziken, which is missing in the tier.

Zoroark and Blaziken didn't make the cut-off point, so they remain UU by usage.

Alright, I did not wanted to come here and talk, but this time I'll have to step in.

Reason behind everyone talk about Empoleon is because we need to came into an conclusion about counters/checks of hydrei. Like the recent gens proofed, and reiterated by CaoiX's arguments, there is no Invincible Pokémon, all mons has at least one check. The question that should come to our mind is: Are worthy using X/Y mon to check a threat? AV Tytar and the blobs yes, because they're not bricks in your team and can do more than check hydreigon. Empoleon on the other hand is not the case. He is UU right now, and usually this means that either the mon is bad, or what it does in a tier, other mons does better. In Empoleon's case, what he does others does better. Hazard Setting? Skarmory and Ferrothorn does better. Special Wall? Both blobs does better. Hazard Removal? Rotom-W does better.

Why they're discussing EXCLUSIVELY Empoleon? Because no other possible check needs introductions. Chansey and Blissey are roaming in OU for a while and Tyranitar AV is a thing since November 2022. They doesn't need explanations.

Why Empoleon is best answer compared to others? Because he eats all Special Attacks from Hydrei and don't die instantly to a Superpower. Also with roar, he makes hard to Hydrei to setup.

That's the negative point for Hydrei. In order to check it, your best option is Empoleon and by using him you're giving up of something better.
And DoubleJ commented about mons that can threaten Hydreigon. Well, Hydrei has levitate so it can't be trapped, it has Dark type and decent bulk so no pursuit trap for him, and this means you can't prevent it from switching out , and by that it can kill something and when one mon able to RK it enters, he can switch out and come back later to go for other mon. Also by levitate, he can assure the only dmg he will take for entering is rocks, but you can still play around 12% dmg. It's speed is good from tier, and with scarf basically nothing outspeed him.
That is what makes Hydrei unhealthy and kept my opinion on Ban Draco Meteor Hydreigon.

Also, commenting about Crawdaunt's ban, ik it are a bit off-topic and that's why i'm leaving under a spoiler.

It was same thing as this one. An mon that otherwise is useless and/or outclassed in UU rised to stop it. They did the mistake of allowing it. I understand when CaoiX sayed to TC not repeat this mistake. And honestly I'm 100% ready to give up from LC's custom change on Slam and ban Hydrei Draco Meteor from slam if the TC did this mistake of allowing it again, like I did with Crawdaunt on UU(On slam will not be allowed.)

Now i'm leaving and hoping to not come back to answer any stupid questions.
