The Battle Of Ages (Soon tm) I had a cool idea based on one of my past threads. I would like to host a tournament with 16 Pokemmo legends OG players and NG players chosen by the people. As a default the G.O.A.T of pokemmo @Frag will be invited. No one has any doubt on why he is invited since he has won it all in this game. I think this tournament will be held during summer i will make a second thread announcing the competitors, prizes and rules. As for now who would you like to see in this tournament and why? leave your posts right below please, since from this i will start choosing the competitors. Only 8 players will be allowed from each era.

OG: Frags - well pretty much set i guess, for obv reasons Sweet - dunno, doesnt need explanation GB - doesnt need one either. tho its a fkn shame he doesnt seem to try hard anymore, but rather tries to be as annoying as possible and passes wins whenever he faces SIA folks Life - when i started playing he was on the rise, after leaving rise and i respect him a lot. well rounded comp player and sick attitude, when he actually tries that is JJ - id rather suggest bowser or raaidn here cause theyve been frkn beasts, but since neither plays anymore, but LYLEs a huge part of MMO history and hes been at the top as well, ill go with him. tho that psl9 stuff was dumb af, i think he legit likes the game and the people who play(ed) it Krenz - been around for ages, won a ton, still wins, tho he sucks at dubs smh (you said that yourself) enchanteur - prolly the person i despise most in this game, but chances are he didnt get coached/paid people to pass in every single one of his official wins, tho that wouldnt surprise me too much. creates some awesome hype, cause his shittalk always goes wrong smh Nik - personally i havent seen you play too much outside of dpp tbh, but you give me those mon junkie vibes, uve placed up there back in the day and i know a lot of people respect you a lot. E: oh and pachi ofc. he doesnt join officials a lot, cause...idk, pachi things. but his weird way of perceiving this game, in an interesting way and the fact that people meme him and then eat shit afterwards, priceless. theres way too many options when it comes to OGs, but most dont play anymore, so id leave the last spot open. NG: Madara - obv the best MMO player rn, cause who wouldnt wanna race cm bro vs cm bro having the bro with flamethrower and shock Mathew, the MLG one - improved a lot since he joined AW... personally i think he does weird shit all the fkn time, but hes placed pretty nicely "lately" Lotus - pretty versatile and i respect him a lot. maybe biased, idk, but personally id rather have other ppl in my bracket and other people would probably agree Mkns - idk how long hes been around, maybe im mistaken here, but either i missed him popping off in the pre unova era or he hid himself well Zhiko - Zhiko pro, nuff said julian - kinda feeling bad going with another NORE pick, but i think we can easily agree on this one. suddenly he was there, well rounded and respected member of our comp community Cali - i think its fair to put her in here as well. idk how she does it, but solely based on results she deserves a newcomer spot i think. rest is either one tricks, "oh theres 2 spots left, so x, y, z" or OG. _ probably plenty of other people one could suggest, but cant think of everyone else rn and i tried to go with names ive seen on forums or ingame within the last few weeks

I don't think it can ever top a teambuilding session with @DoubleJ, right @LKrenz? Cool idea for a tournament, and for sure I'd love to show up and play some quality mons. I know you're still yet to post the thread with the rules of the tour, but it'd be hard for me to compete without some $$$ assistance to breed / buy mons depending on the tiers that I'd need to play, so I'll accept any donations if possible.

What you are asking is "old players against new players" while this tournament is clearly about generations. Takens even said 16 legends of PokeMMO, there are no legendary new competitive players.

I don't think so, I think performances are more relevant than the joining dates. Most of the players who are performing well in NG already played in OG. It means that the NG line-up would be ridiculously less interesting than the OG one to me and many players who are not going to find a place in the OG line-up would be players who performed more than the NG players in the NG itself. All in all, it will reduce the quality of the event. For instance, enchanteur who will probably not be in the OG line-up could not be a in NG line-up while we are probably all agreeing he's one if not the player who performed the most in the NG.

he's legit, what do you mean? Best CM. I do agree with you, that a couple bad apples, won't ruin a perfectly fine tree. But sadly rn, at least there's 1 global mod, that I doubt he doens't use his powers to scam newbies, like he previously did. Also has a historial of being toxic, including in the forum, we have screenshots of that, even if they removed as proof. That one really nasty putrid bad apple aside, can't complain, I do think some are however too passive, or should at least try and interact with the community, come on, from the CMs, only Linfanz and Wuden are known, the other 2 never saw them anywhere, even here in the forum.

If i were in your shoes i'd probably do the same. When you get targeted so much to the point where you don't feel like you can talk and be yourself in any public chat, that would kill the game for me too. People like Malorne who say things like "oh well dont say stuff that gets you banned then" clearly have no clue about whats been going on. Sadly, the poll shows that there are a lot of people like that. In my opinion, the problem with staff isn't located with the lower ranked ones. I don't think there's a single CM not doing a good job. The higher in the hierarchy, the worse it gets. There is no consistency there, context is something they refuse to acknowledge and transparency about how they work/who did what is something that is non-existent here. I'll give the example of my most recent mute (which was a few months ago, so dont tell me i need to behave more). First i got muted for 10k seconds for "harassment", i was told to talk to an SGM. After I did that, suddenly my mute got changed to 40k seconds and "racism" was added to the reason. I then had to find the SGM in question (because transparancy is zero, so you have to talk to basically all of them). The SGM then sent me about 50 sentences that were supposedly breaking the rules, we had to go through all of them only to come to the conclusion that there was no racism and I was right all along. Instead of then admitting the staff was wrong, they phrased it like i somehow "owned up to my mistakes" and the mute got reversed back to 10k seconds. It's this type of moderating that leads to frustration and a complete lack of trust in these staff. The fact that someone like @Dibz is apparently not good enough, but you have 2 objectively horrible, bad people as highranking staff is another reason why a part of this community is absolutely done with staff. That being said, goodbye Petard, it was very nice meeting you. It's always nice to interact with people that aren't basically NPCs.

Well, this is not a suggestion to add a new currency (get clickbaited) but to rework the BP so it can be used as such. With that being said, i begin: 1) Give some love to the BP items: By making the BP exclusive items more attractive to the community people will feel like actually trying to obtain BP, making this whole suggestion work somehow. I will cover more of this in a sec. 2) Transform the Yen: Allow players to transform their Yen into BP in a way or another; this could very well be an NPC who offers said transformation or some other way less direct. If the BP market (aka BP exclusive items) is attractive, people will want to invest in BP to obtain said exclusives. Now i will explain how could this (possibly) work. >First of all, BP items need to be more attractive, this can be done by exploting the Secret Bases. If devs were to put effort into making the Secret Base system i'm pretty sure people will want to spend BP in it: If you decide to focus on the enhancing of secret bases the BP store could get directed towards the audience who wants those (which I assume, by adding these functions plus new secret base items would get pretty popular) And secret base items aren't tradable, so they're meant to be bought and used in a pretty estetic fashio Make Secret Bases more accesible, in all three regions (Make new spots) Rework the Items limit for Secret Bases Allow a players to edit a secret base to the very ground, somewhat like RPG maker Make it so Teams can have Team Bases in which players can hold their unofficial Team events Allow players to teleport to their bases Create new items to sell for BP: Heal Spot, PC, Tiles (Grass, Water, Sand, Etc), Blueprints Make it so players can enter other people bases without having to go and find it (somewhat like PvP, where you're taken there and can leave at any given time) Make more PvE events regarding Secret Bases Secret bases tbh cover a perfect money sink, since the items obtained for them aren't tradable...they just have to...not suck, and i assume after some changes are applied they could become pretty popular among players. >Have some Vanity Items (Good Ones) exclusive to the BP store and not obtainable anywhere else I think i wanted to say more but can't recall right now, anyways, i'm aware this has several flaws, but i think it could work somehow since so far. The major issue i can think of would be that some BP items like Choice Items will have a price Fixed, but that much isn't that bad, is it? Waiting for some feedback.
