    PvP Music selection

    Since PokeMMO uses the assets stored in the roms, we should be allowed to select whichever song from whichever game we wish to hear during PvP battles. The Unova trainer battle theme is the track that's always playing during PvP, and there are countless amazing tracks in the games(e.g- Kanto Gym leader, Hoenn E4, legendary titan theme, Cynthia's theme, N's theme, Alder's theme etc.) that players would prefer listening to while the battle progresses. So, adding a feature that allows us to listen to any particular track available in the rom files during PvP/Duels would very much be appreciated.

As a fellow shiny hunter, I really like the idea of a warning :) In order to be able to do other things but still know when you encounter a shiny, here are somethings you can do: Go to Settings -> Sound -> Uncheck the option to mute music when on another tab, and lower the "Battle SFX Panning" to 0% so you can hear the shiny animation sound from both earpieces: (remember to save!) The shiny animation is only a sound effect, so you can lower the Music Volume and System Effects Volume to 0% if you don't want to hear the background music (or do this next suggestion) If you don't want to hear the cries of pokémon or battle/background music, you can make your own "music mod", essentially replacing the music or cries with audio files with no music. To tell what background music is playing, you can type the command "/bgm" in chat and it will tell you what music it is playing. However, music mods can't replace all the sounds played by the client, such as bumping into walls, the sound when walking through grass, or the ball being thrown and releasing a pokémon. (which i wish we can change) These will essentially help you isolate the shiny animation sound, but you still have to hear it. If you really want to make the shiny noticeable, you can make a custom sprite mod that will make all the shinies very eye-catching: *FYI this is just a demonstration - I haven't make anything like this, but it is plausible. And it is effective from a practical standpoint. These are basically some more things you can go out of the way to help noticing shinies, and as much as I would love your suggestion to be a feature, this guy put it real nice and simple: So I guess you can do some extreme things like I mentioned, but you already have a lot to work with. And seriously, that feature would make botting way easier - it would actually be helping the bots by keeping them from running from a shiny, and that static display/window would be much easier to detect than an animation/gif, or the text "Shiny" on a large region of the screen before running, basically making the time it takes to process each encounter/horde much easier + quicker.

    Not to mention that the Johto region will be significantly more difficult to implement here than one would think. PokeMMO has traditionally (to my understanding anyways) obtained most of the assets like NPCs, Maps, Storyline, Tilesets, etc from the ROM Files that we are required to download to even access whichever region we were trying to access. Johto includes a future-version of Kanto in every game that featured Johto (Gold, Silver, Crystal, Heartgold, Soulsilver) - There's going to need to be an addition step there when the region DOES go into development in the future.

The thing is, they aren't really visible :/ Why not make them all white with black background (like the current selected one), but make the selected one with a different background so it stands out while the other boxes are also very clear. I'm finally back to give my full feedback. So let's get it started! First, I'd like to thank you a lot for all the work and effort you did to make this package. Once finished, it will definitely be the best theme+mods for pokemmo. But currently, it have many issues (some which makes it unusable). I will try to go over everything your package have to offer even if it's already mentioned in the known issues and give a screenshot for each of it in order to be as complete as possible. You could say that I really love this mod and this is my way of contributing to it. I really hope it gets completed soon so I can start using it correctly. Important notice: I play on computer and it's resolution is 1366x768. 1/ Text size: The text in the bubbles is very small and different from the default theme. The name of some areas is cut if they are long enough 2/ Combat: The text and battle interface are out of the screen. They are also not clickable by the mouse. This is definitely the top priority thing to fix as it makes the mod unusable for those with the same resolution (not everybody likes to change their settings just to make a theme work) 3/ Pokemon Summary: The interface have some useless button that made me confused at first (Why can't I click on them? XD). So it would be nice to remove them to keep the UI cleaner. In case you didn't know, pokemons have some special effects on their summary depending on their type. But some of the backgrounds of your theme actually make them impossible to see (I gave an example with the electric type, but many types have this issue). The original theme you used also had this problem. 4/ PC Storage: The PC Storage is a very important part in the experience of Pokemmo (even more than other pokemon games) since it's where all your pokemons are stored (and you can get tons of them here since it's 4 games). It can quickly get filled and messy which makes clarify extremely important on it. I would love if the 3 areas I highlighted get removed as they don't serve any purpose and only make it seem like a copy of the console game. I hate how those are taking precious space that you could use to make the pokemons much bigger (like in the default theme). The green area on the background also makes it hard to spot pokemons of certain colors (like green). I think removing the green area would help a lot. As I mentioned before, the storage is a very important part of the pokemmo experience and one of it's key features is the search bar. It helps a lot to find a specific pokemon or for those that have a certain nature (which is important for breeding). The current search selection could definitely use some love and get clearer. It's even worst on the green area (look at the female Nidoran). 5/ Trainer card: In the screenshots you sent, your trainer card shows 6 pokemons at it's top right corner. I assumed those are the pokemons that you used to beat the elite 4. Nothing appears there for me even if I'm in a region where I already beat the Elite 4. Did I understand the feature wrong? How is it supposed to work? 6/ Item shortcuts/Hotkeys: In the screenshot you sent, those have a blue background (like the menus while for me, they are half white half yellow. I would love if they were blue like your own screenshot. 7/ Pokedex: I don't want to sound mean, but that kind of green on a black background really hurts the eyes especially since it's a long list of pokemons with small icons. It also seems out of place compared to the rest of the theme. It would be nice if you changed the colors to be more in line with the rest of the theme. 8/ Informations about each mod: It would be really nice if you wrote a short description of what each mod does and how is it different from the original one (if there is any difference) Your list of features include "new GUI elements and features". What are those exactly? Does the mod "SW/SH MAIN TITLES SCREEN / MUSIC (Place the zip folder in mods) PC ONLY" do anything beside changing the music in the title screen? If that's the case, couldn't you have included that in the "REMASTERED MUSIC" mod? Are the "REMASTERED MUSIC" and "SW/SH + VERDEP MODELS" any different from the originals (you know, like the mod made by VERDEP)? Hope that was helpful! And I really hope I didn't miss anything.   43. Hi everyone, The next game update will feature a wide list of changes for PvP players. This will include a general balancing patch, refinement of most PvP systems in the game, and refinement of management tasks like move tutoring. ==== Automated PVP Updates Matchmaking will see a suite of changes, including updated reward structures, a seasonal based matchmaking ELO system, and features to encourage more tier participation. For reward structures, we have shifted the BP-based rewards to a streak-based approach. Over the years, we've been hesitant to include an automated Forfeit function in structured PvP due to the potential of encouraging poor quality matches where people forfeit while a match is still winnable. To counter this, players are now more encouraged to stay in a match at risk of losing their streak bonus, and additional bonuses are given if you're fighting an especially well ranked player. Matchmaking ELO decay has been another problem which we let stagnate over the years, which will be resolved by a season system for ELO. Seasons will last 3 months (the first season after the update's deployment will be slightly shorter due to updating in the middle of a season) and will perform a hard reset of ELO once over. Each Season will be capped off by an automated tournament exclusive to the top players of each tier's leaderboard, winners of which will receive exclusive items. To encourage UU/NU tier participation, we've introduced exclusive rewards for all tiers. Players may now also queue for multiple tiers in Matchmaking simultaneously, with a battle box assigned to each tier. Automated Tournaments have seen some attention. Tournament rewards will be more versatile in their choices, allowing for Gender selection & selectable IVs with any value (0~31). PokeMMO's Game Masters may also choose to give stacks of items, vanity items, or BP in future tournaments too. (Note that these changes only apply to future tournaments, not ones which have already been scheduled, or rewards which have been already mailed to players). On the small side, players will now be able to spectate others while queueing for matchmaking & tournaments with no fear of missing their queue. We'll now automatically shift from Spectate mode to Battle mode when a match is found. Battle Boxes are now also less terrible to manage, and can be assigned and changed more easily in the PC UI. ==== Generation 8 Updates With the introduction of Gen 8, many moves have had updated functionality increasing their versatility. Move changes will be included where applicable (Teleport, Rapid Spin, Healing Wish, Fling, and Howl), as well as ability changes (Intimidate, Moody) and egg group updates for a few species trees. This changeset also introduces Gens 1 & 2 TM moves to the relevant species, and Gen 7 changes which we'd omitted until now, including Gen7-3 (LGPE) movepools and missing mechanical changes to Gengar's ability, and the Prankster ability. Movepools for all species have been updated in some way or another, and the changes are far too numerous to note. In general, Gen 8 has priority over all other changes, then additional moves are processed from there. ==== Movepool Management Updates Those knowledgeable with earlier Gens & Gen 8 will notice that we are introducing a slew of new TMs- over 100, actually. This large bulk of items necessitated that we look at how we can better the move learning systems, and we've focused on streamlining the gain of renewable moves. Each region will now host an NPC in every healing center you come across, which will offer to teach you all of the Tutor moves that a region can offer, if you've acquired 8 badges in that region. 4 Shard-based "Regional Move Master" tutors are present in the game, 1 for each region, allowing you to learn regional-exclusive moves for a Shard+Item-based feed. Each of them is also accompanied by a Move Deleter & Relearner NPC. Prices for Relearners will also now more properly reflect the value of the move being relearned. All regions now have a store which will sell every TM in the game in their respective department stores, after you've completed its storyline. Redundant tutor data for all tutors has been removed, meaning no more TM / Tutor overlap. For GBA areas, NPCs with single-move move tutor scripts (e.g. Dream Eater) will now simply give untradeable TMs. Older Shard tutors have been removed entirely, and their moves redistributed as either TMs or into the newer Shard tutors. Overall, we feel it should be much easier to keep track of and learn. ==== This overview is not comprehensive, but covers the most important things we'll be changing this update.
