Hello. As many know, recently a crazy player called "OliverXL" made a race for the unimaginable, for the "impossible"... "Getting 0 points in the PokeMMO ranked" It all started with when I was sick in the head (things in life, stressed and etc), so I went to play, even though I was fed up with the game, I played some PvP and noticed the literal worst phase of my entire life in that game, catching Novice Trainer for the first time, after that i cooled my mind and I made the worst decision of my life "Why didn't I go down my elo, and then I go up again to farm more points and wins in a row?" And it went away, 400, 350, 300 elo. At 300 I already had a lot of losses, so it was time to go back up... But I thought "why not go FURTHER down, and that's when the idea came to go to the ELO 0. I started the journey with a normal team but it was taking too long, so I switched to a 6 explosion team, but it was also taking too long, Around 250, 240 elo I assembled a team with 6 ABSURDLY WEAK AND USELESS pokémon: magikarp, feebas, luvdisc, paras and more 2. It was usually pretty quick. But that made me realize how robotic people are, my team with 6 useless pokémon and no items and had people using Stealth Rock, Spikes, Roar, Toxic, and a lot more shit being that it was just beat lol. Time passed and the Chinese New Year event arrived, so I naturally stopped and played the event, taking money and our dear Shaymin... I thought about stopping over and over again but I couldn't give up, it would be like letting the past effort go for nothing, so I went through with it. To relieve myself for a while, I took breaks and played in Alts and other tiers too, so I wasn't 100% stuck in competitive (which I play very often, like always) the new year passed and it was already february, i had to focus or it would be impossible. I believe after chinese new year i was around 110-130 elo. AA Now the most important thing is to emphasize how horrible the matchmaking of the game is, how can a player with 108 elo fall against the top 1 of the ladder? This should be unacceptable, from this 2849 defeats I can say that at least 100 are against top ranks, it may seem like little, but that should be unacceptable xD, difference of literally 600-700 ELO Anyway. Time went by and my ELO went down, several conversations, stress, weariness and incredibly fun (rarely) that this brought me... March arrived, time for "let's see" I had 95 ELO when March arrived, I was 40% focused on this, managing to lose between 80-180 battles a day, sometimes more sometimes less, it was going. In a week my life went awry, I managed to break my 2 cell phones that I played in addition to emotional problems, which affected the "race" But I took my leaps and found a way to satisfy myself and go down the ELO at the same time, so even with the slowed down speed, I kept going. On March 6th, he had 1300 defeats and 68.07 ELO. Between March 10-14, he had 2000 defeats and 43 ELO. Not to extend more I'll finish soon. O The end of the season was approaching and I was already worn out, despite wanting it so much I couldn't, with the support of friends who made me let go of it I simply relaxed at the end of March On March 17th I reached 2849 defeats and stopped at 30.00 ELO. iirc devs had mentioned that the game should not be too easy and so they tweaked catch rates etc. All I want is one cyndaquil with my ot. I just spent 2 hours at hoenn safari and encountered 17 cyndaquils and threw ~70 safari balls and haven't caught one. I mean, what is the purpose of this catch rate if you just can't catch one? This is just beyond not being easy. This is so absurd. Are cyndaquils so valuable they are worth more than 2hrs worth of gameplay?

Hey guys, it's been a while but I just wanted to say we are still working hard on improving the site experience. We are currently refactoring the API and have made the graphs load really quickly. If this actually isnt the case for you, please let me know. Our next goal is cutting down the loading time of the item database/listings table, and then trends. We also changed the graph display to increase performance, as the changing green/red line colour was really taxing and lagged the graph. Thank you for sticking around and using PokeMMOprices even though the wait/loading times were so long.

There has been a gross stigma and a lot of toxicity that I wish to avoid. I wish the mod team all the best, sometimes things don't get handled as best as they can, but then again, they are volunteers and they have my utmost respect and love. I would like to be able to play the best Pokemon game I'm lucky to have stumbled upon without getting @s or dealing with cringe, toxic people. It encapsulate the entire premise of the game Number two would be the veteran players as they knew the nooks and crannies of this game and the server. Fast, cheap and efficient (It only changes the missing alphas)

I've been playing PokeMMO since the last october, after noting the Johto update After a very long time, 3 of the 4 pokémon leagues beaten (except Unova's that I'll do after Johto), and most of the Hoenn, Sinnoh, Kanto and Sevii Island's locations completely explored, I can certainly say that it's by far the best Pokémon fangame, and also one of the best Nintendo's fangames that I've ever played in my life (along with just Mario Kart Wii CTGP), and as a person who's played not too much, but many different hackroms in the past (Ruby Destiny, Shiny Gold, Liquid Crystal among others) I think it's a huge compliment And exactly for this I want the game to keep up this way In the post-Nintendo DS Pokémon videogames interesting features have been added, and as a former Alpha Sapphire, and Moon player I can confirm this In sixth gen we've had megaevolutions and the fairy type In Alola we've had the first case of regional forms in the Pokémon franchise But first of all we've had both regions and relative pokémon, and particularly Kalos is even nicer than Unova when it comes to exploration (and trust me, as a BW and BW2 fan it cost me to admit this) But things can even be more complex than this What I'm about to say now is pure personal taste, but what I saw after BW2 are games that were published mostly because of the new mosters and regions, and in general commercial purposes, rather than anything else And let's face it, there's nothing bad with it, but in my opinion in the long run this makes the main adventure just more tedious and boring Story, apart from 5th gen, has never been a huge focus in the franchise But in general longevity and characters characterization has never been that bad In HGSS for example we've had Silver, who is from my perspective the best character from the entire series, and the best characterized, and in all of those games you need so much to reach the Post-game In SM on the other hand you can reach the Pokémon League in literally 2 days (and that's what I did, and in the middle I've lost a lot of hours because of a game freeze, so they could be even less), whereas in XY the game's rivals are all androids and so little memorable, and the post game is basically almost poorer than that from Emerald, which is not easy in fact If we go ahead to Switch games the situation is even more tragic, with SWSH which doesn't still have open world ambientations, and SV which finally does, but it's so full of bugs and glitches, and even poor for exploration when it comes to buldings and cities, that RBY compared to them seem like 2025 videogames Of course these were just my ideas about the most recent games, but there's something else that I'd like to underline 1- Roms for the client In GBA and NDS making a videogame backup via your own, or someone's flashcard is not hard at all But even just from the 3DS games onward things change To get your own XY or SM rom legally you need to mod your console, and backup these games onto your SD card But 3DS, has Nintendo has less social life than I do (and I have very little), keeps updating the console to prevent players from doing that, and this is a problem Apart from this there's another problem even more serious, and that can give you a hard time when playing the game, and this is THE HEAVYNESS of the game, and its new introductions in the long run I want to say one thing first With the right modifications in the game settings, I could make PokeMMO work even into my old 2009 netbook (it's not my main PC obviously), and it was a very awful machine even just at his first days But, as you can imagine, the more the franchise goes ahead with new generations and Pokémon, the more hardware specs it'll require in order to work Now, apart from the from the national dex Starting from Sword and Shield instead things changed, and we can only obtain some of them, and that was one of the other main complaints that, with reason, people had about SWSH and SV Maybe you can require two or more videogame roms in order to login, but I don't know how much easy it'll be in fact to implement I know that many people would like to kill me for what I'm talking about in this post, but in my opinion this game, especially after the next update, will not need so further updates to be complete and keep working, potentially even for decades like WoW If you decide to play you'll be able to explore 5 regions, with a higher challenge factor than the originals (and trust me, as an old fan who's been playing Pokémon since the 1st gen, I can confirm that needing 5 months even just to beat 3 pokémon leagues in single player means that the game is challenging), you can bring with you all of the monsters from each single region to the others, but most than that YOU CAN PLAY WITH YOUR FRIENDS, AND EVEN MEET NEW ONES MMOs are famous for being videogames with a very social soul Something like a Facebook in which, apart from just chatting, you can do things with people Of course adding more regions will make the game more immersive But in my opinion this has to be a plus, not an unprescindible aspect For sure I can understand people who complained about Johto, not only because HGSS have been my favorite RPG games ever, but even because not having Johto in a game with Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova is quite criminal But in case, especially after the next update, they will keep saying things such as ''I'll reopen the game just in case you add Kalos, Alola etc etc etc'' please, DON'T LISTEN TO THEM Yu can do it if you think that it'll be worth, but PokeMMO IN ANY CASE deserves to be treaten like this PokeMMO is, for those who don't remember, or don't want to remember, a FREE FANMADE PROJECT Their devs made something insanely great Make all of the first 5 generation games, apart from BW2, playable online with MMO features, completely legally, avoiding Nintendo's cease and desists for 11 years now, and last but not least, WITHOUT ANY PAY TO WIN MECHANICS. For a historic fan like me, who passed hundreds and hundreds of hours in the GBA and Nintendo DS episodes (and I'm not joking, I have more than 460 hours in my Soul Silver save) that's enough If you guys are those who say ''ok, I've finished Johto, now I'll quit the game until Kalos or Alola'' you're not genuinely attracted from the game's concept, but just from the possibility of playing Pokémon games that YOU WANT with these features If you want to use PokeMMO in that way I think that your best choice is to just play the most recent games, even amongst spinoffs And I'm not joking In Pokémon GO, that I still have on my smartphone, you can have all of the Pokémon 'till the most recents In Unite, that I've also got in my NS, if you dislike the pokémon GO's concept you don't have all of them, but that game is having a good time, and periodically receives newer and newer monsters And in SV, despite all of the bugs and glitches, you can play a pokémon game officially in a co-op mode for the first time in the franchise's history Maybe everything I wrote down in this post was just my extreme point of view PokeMMO can still grow a lot, and certainly deserves a larger fanbase But it can also do something better Decide to stop adding contents, and see how many people will remain and arrive in any case in the future (I don't think about having new runs of the GBA and DS games as far as PokeMMO keeps running) Maybe, if deciding not to introduce all of the future pokémon regions that we will eventually have, you guys won't have a largest fanbase, but for sure those who will stay will be present And most of any other good aspect, as they won't care about ''when will you add this or that region?'' as a consequence the PokeMMO community will possibly be even less toxic than the official one (I've started meeting people online via Pokémon back in 2017, and I've also made mistakes with many of them, but I can confirm that LOL's community in many aspects seems human in comparison) For sure that's not a desire of mine of blocking your project I just wanted to say what I think about this game Sorry for the long message Hope it was positive even just for some aspects
