Hey y'all, I wanted an encounter counter on Mac but couldn't find one so I made my own. I finished it over a week ago and was hoping to post it to the client customization forum but unfortunately the head customization moderator has not read my message with the code to approve it in over a week so I figured I'd just post this and have anyone interested PM me for a link to a Google doc with installation instructions. The counter is working on multiple different users' machines. Limitations: - Does NOT work on Intel chip Macs (only works on Silicon chips - M1/M2) - Does NOT count eggs - only counts Pokemon from battles - Buggy with Pokemon names in enemy nameplate area - usernames may be able to trigger counter if they contain a Pokemon name being tracked - Kind of a pain to install (relies on a couple of other softwares - namely, Python, Tesseract, and Homebrew (to install Tesseract)) Features: - Automatic tracking of Pokemon - I don't really want to type this out so I'll just include the commands and hope people can infer the features from that - It's really just a simple barebones auto encounter counter Commands: (casing/caps does not matter) “Pokemon name” - i.e., “pikachu”: tracks said pokemon. If the pokemon is hidden, this adds pokemon to hud “-name” - i.e., “-squirtle”: remove pokemon from tracker completely: sets count to 0. This count is not recoverable “Hname” - i.e., “hgastly”: hide pokemon from hud (still tracks pokemon) “Uname” - i.e., “uditto”: unhides pokemon from list - same as “name” “Clear” - clears hidden list (adds all pokemon to counter hud) “Wipe all data” - clears counts completely “Exit - save data to wyverstsdata.txt in same location as executable and quit the program. “quit” - save data to wyverstsdata.txt in same location as executable and quit the program - same as “exit” “Settings” - prints current settings and what they are set to (two settings below) “Savehidden” - ON BY DEFAULT; toggles on/off a setting to save the hidden pokemon you have tracked/not tracked and resume with those settings when the program is resumed. If set to OFF, ALL pokemon will be hidden automatically when the program starts. “Autoadd” - OFF BY DEFAULT; toggles on/off a setting that automatically adds all pokemon you encounter to the counter. I STRONGLY SUGGEST you leave this off, as there can be unintended pokemon added to the counter due to how I process the text on the screen.

As many have noticed, currently the PvE content of PokeMMO is somewhat limited, being comprised of Shiny Hunting, gym reruns, battle frontier. Overall I believe the general feeling is a lack of engaging recurrent content that upgrades the PvE experience of the game. There are some suggestion posts already hinting what I was bringing to the table but I think setting a clear a cemented view on what the Region boss content could be might help to set a roadwork for the implementation. Also, should confess, that the base template for it is something that already exists in another pokemon mmo, but I still find it could be absolutely great in here. Base Content and concept: All regions have those iconic characters (whose sprites are already in game and some are even already in the overworld) that can be simply regarded as absolute bosses! So why not take advantage of them to bring outstanding PvE content for the players to battle against and win great rewards! The concept of the region bosses would be a list of entities (that would rotate in intervals) that would allow the players to search for them and to challenge their most powerful teams. As in typical MMOs, players would need to build teams to take into account the different raids (which in these cases are bosses), developing sets (pokemon teams) specific for PvE content much like your 101 mmo PvE experience! In terms of the bosses, they would have a 6 Lv.100 pokemon team with possible hidden abilities, high Ivs, EV trained and natured, following the theme of each character and presenting different challenges! Perhaps even, taking the great idea of pokemmo's E4, rotating teams so that the challenges are always changing. These bosses could be challenged only once per rotation (lets say for example each 3 or 5 days) and upon defeat would reward the player with its "loot" Ps: The defeat record of these bosses could very well be inserted into the Instanced info where the E4 cooldown appears. Aditional Concept: As a more engaging type of content, the boss challenge and information in the instance window could be unlocked by following a chained set of actions. Ex: To be able to engage in battle with zapdos (and for it to show as unlocked in that rotation on the instance window) you would have to first defeat Lt.surge's gym rerun, who would hint that a power surge has been noted in the hoenn region. This would prompt the player to move to new mauville where it would find a berserked Voltorb that would need to be destroyed. Upon destruction and while leaving new mauville you could encounter Wattson who would thank you for the help and could report an electric bird fleeing from the powerplant there and heading to kanto. Concluding this set of actions, Zapdos boss fight would be unlocked and could be battled in Kanto's powerplant. This concept is much more complex and I bet it would be a pain to implement since it would be kind of a "side quest" type of event. As the suggestion stands, the first concept I believe would be easier to implement and the one that should be focused on for now The loot got from the bosses: From the bosses you would have a loot table that would consist of: Pokeyen (perhaps in the line of 10 K) Battle Points (yes this could be a great oportunity to expand on the different ways to get BP) Regular usefull items (such as tms, vitamins, x amounts of pokeballs, revives, etc.) Boss themed vanities (with a very small chance) Boss themed pokémon eggs (whom to stimulate the PvE content could have a slightly improved chance of being hatched as shiny: chances in the line of being a party member with a shiny charm so that the shiny economy doesn't get affected) List of bosses by region: Kanto Hoenn Sinnoh Unova And this would be the main idea for the boss PvE content, I both the simpler version of it (without side quest to be able to battle the bosses) would already give much more content to the latte game PvE and would benefit from all the assets already being in the game! Only basically requiring for the "rebattle" event to have a new set of mons and with different rewards ^^ Hope the post was not too long and I'm interested in seeing other views on it, new ideas, improvements and critiques to it ^^ Ty and keep up the good work :P

Roar of Time was never sketchable via Metronome as it's a gen 4 move while the bug only occurred during the gen 3 years. Roar of Time was originally sketched from an Arceus build. Lunar Dance is not currently obtainable. If you've seen a screenshot of a Smeargle with it, it's on a randoms build.

Usually when I play PVP(laddering etc) I have the battlelog tab open but I also want talk towards my team mates but i hate it when the chats intervene with eachother like this. this is quite a hassle to scroll in if you want to double check things like calcs, pp being used etc. I would love to have the option to open another chat box like this shown above and that works the same. so that we can have multiple chats open like this: Both boxes you can move freely and change the format of these boxes

Hi there, PokeMMO players and PokeMMO staff! I recently stumbled upon a video where a PokeMMO content creator was banned, with suspicions being directed towards the fact he'd been using a controller. From there, I found a forum post where Rache clarified "He wasn't banned for simply using a controller, nor was it an act of malice against him.", which still leaves me a bit curious. While I totally understand why you would want to keep the specifics to yourselves, as to not tip off potential cheaters, it still leaves a large portion of the player base nervous to what you're allowed to do and what you're not. In that same vain, I have a few clarifying questions that I'd like to know if they're allowed or not. Bear in mind that none of these questions, to my knowledge, are answered in the terms of service for the game. 1. Every controller I've used have given me the advantage of 'rapid firing input' in a way that keyboards cannot. For example, using a normal Xbox controller, you're able to hold the A button down during combat to rapidly input that same button, while you have to repeatedly press the SPACE bar in order to achieve the same results on a keyboard. This is standard functionality for any controller I've tested, and of course out of the box without any separate software needed. Is this allowed? 2. While a variety of software that enables you to play on multiple accounts on the same device has been forbidden (namely VM's and emulators), I've yet to stumble upon a statement that simply playing on multiple accounts on the same device is. This seems a bit weird to me, because while some methods for playing on multiple accounts on the same device is clearly not allowed, the practice itself seems to be in a sort of grayzone, where you don't encourage it but don't disallow it either. Some clarity here would be appreciated. 3. On that same note, there are still some nuance to be had. The latest Samsung Android phones come with the functionality for 'Phone Link', which mirrors your phone screen to your PC. In this instance, the entire processing for the actual game is being conducted on the phone, with the app window on the desktop screen showing what would have been shown on the phone. Essentially, two different devices are being used to play the game, but it takes place on the same device. Is this allowed? 4. What counts as third party software? While macros, scripts and other unfair practices are understandably not allowed, are you allowed to use third party software, while using a controller, to bind a single controller input to a single keyboard output? For example, I bind the A button on my controller, using third party software, to output the letter 'K' from my keyboard. Of course, multiple outputs for a single input would be against the rules, but what about one input - one output? Is this allowed? As a side note to that same question: Would merely having that software present on your PC be able to cause enough suspicions to warrant a permanent ban, regardless if the practice of one input - one output is allowed or not? I'm looking forward to any clarity about the rules, because I, together with a large portion of the player base, are looking to play the game in good faith without the risk for 'accidentally' breaking any rules that are not clearly stated on the website. Honestly use what you want, on Pokemmo there are so many builds you can do that if you really wanted to you can use a team of NU that with skill can sweep an OU team. Personally up to your personal preference. If you want some good example builds I'd recommend looking at the most used mons on Smogen with the most common nature in gen 5 or 6 and thats alot of the builds I see frequently. Just find a mon that you feel fits how you wanna play and build from there, thats what I did at least.
