Hi, thanks for the post and for keeping us updated; I have a couple of questions:
Is this a full list of the moveset updates? Or just the ones you (TC) felt were more relevant? Because, while I do not have a full list of the new moves, I'm noticing at least one missing (Haze Empoleon) and as such I don't know if it wasn't added by accident, as a deliberate choice or for any other reason.
There are indeed more, haze on empoleon will be a thing.
The change to Sharpness is largely a dev decision though the tier council was consulted. They wish for it to be as close in viability to what it was before without breaking the tier. If it is broken after buffing it to 1.4 it will again be nerfed possibly to 1.35.

Lifestyle will be leaving TC, we greatly appreciate the work and time he put into the position and wish him well..
Lumiere and Axelgor are our two new members, welcome to the team.
This was a very hard decision as we had a lot of really good applicants and applications this time around, but if you didn't get chosen don't be discouraged. Keep participating in discussions & the competitive scene and you may get picked next time.

We have tossed around the idea of a length of time before any ban must at the very least be re-discussed but as it currently stands a TC member would have to bring it to the table.

Borderline(shortened BL) are those banned to OU and up and cannot be used in tiers lower than it, Borderline 2(BL2) are those banned to UU and up. This list includes pokemon that may currently be in a tier by usage but were at some point not, and banned from the tiers lower than it.
Borderline
Darmanitan Dugtrio Haxorus Lucario Kingdra Porygon2 Shaymin Staraptor Borderline 2
Durant Feraligatr Medicham Machamp Nidoqueen Rhyperior Roserade Vaporeon Venomoth -
Very different mons, has priority, etc etc i get it, but I would like to remind everybody that the same thing was said about zam in the past and its sitting at 6% usage with a 44% winrate. Can anybody say with absolute certainty that that is not the case again without a test
-
I don't think anybody's blaming the cutoffs for this one, UU got weather, it was bound to make a massive splash.

Since HAs started releasing TC had struggled to finish suspects. First bunch of HAs, they failed to conclude Serperior, Feraligatr and Machamp's suspects, because the tier changed too much during them.
What are you even talking about, all of those suspect tests ended

Genuine question and not having a dig, how come the members of Tier Council would rather wait for something to rise by usage instead of voting on it even after enough time has passed? Venomoth is a good example, despite having enough time to evaluate it people left it and it rose to UU, now it's dropping back to NU we still don't know whether it's staying or getting banned to BL2.
Venomoth only dropped for a month and before the test had a chance to conclude it rose on its own, if it ends up being a problem then it can follow the normal process for a ban.

As it currently stands they will be dropping, unless the votes change by Wednesday night.

Imo, Ninetales and Politoed will end up UU eventually. If the objective is to delay their arrival in UU in order to avoid disrupting the tier because of the upcoming seasonals, that's fair. However, if game changing abilities are planned to be released prior to the seasonals, I don't see the point in waiting at all.
Should be fine, if something impactful does drop can just place it somewhere where it won't ruin the seasonal

Dropping mons which were added during the current month doesn't seem reasonable 🙂
I agree, though mainly due to it being the seasonal tournaments month where a big drop might completely invalidate any research or playing someone did throughout the season.
Assuming the weather mons make a big impact in UU anyway.

Second month of the season, 2.5% to go down, 6% to go up.
To UU from OU:
Ninetales
Politoed
These are currently being discussed/voted because we would prefer not having a significant impact on the seasonal tournament, so this one could be delayed until the new season.
To NU from UU:
Kingler

TC members are free to give their own opinions, we do not disclose votes no.
As it stands now all of this is already in the next update, you are free to try and change minds but I cannot guarantee you will.
We would prefer this discussion to remain in one place, if it gets locked then someone is just going to open a new thread.
