  3. Y'all know what's about to go down in this post. Clamperl's trash stats (spatk aside) certainly make it an unpopular pick, even in the lowest of low tiers. It has little defense and little speed. But, I'm going to push it one step further than making a post about clamperl in NU and shove it in the next tier up of stats uncomparable to its competitors: Clamperl in UU! You know I love to use clamperl in OU even as a gimmick, but in UU, we're talking viable. This is how it works. The moveset: Clamperl Fast Sweeper / Revenge killer Item: Deep Sea Tooth Nature: Modest EVs: 252 SpAtt / 252 Speed Surf Icebeam Hidden power Grass Protect It's well known that Deepseatooth doubles Clamperl's SpAtk stat. The main reason to use this poke. Surf does TONS OF STAB DAMAGE to basically anything that doesn't resist it. Consider this. Clamperl Surf vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Cradily: (43.5 - 51.8%) -- 11.3% chance to 2HKO Icebeam will one or two hit ko most grass types, your biggest threat. Hidden Power Grass is good for coverage, anything that resists both surf and icebeam--usually water types. It's better than elec because it hits all the same stuff, but also quagsire and lanturn. And finally, Protect is the big underdog move in here that will let you scout choice bands, how much guts they have to stay in or switch out, to make an educated guess on how much speed they invested. This is important, because this clamperl is max speed instead of defensive, despite its trash speed stat. Here's the list of things that clamperl can outspeed and threaten: (at the condition that they are uninvested in speed!) This list covers just under half the tier!! Clamperl is a very reliable revenge killer. If any of your pokemon die to any of these, you can bring in clamperl and safely do TONS OF DAMAGE. Now, they have to either sack something or switch to something that walls AND threatens clamperl. They will take TONS OF DAMAGE either way. Their options are basically: Only a handful of walls can take a hit from clamperl. And even then, the walls can't fucking come in! Even with blastoise and meganium being their safest bets, with the right prediction and the right move, you can chunk it massively. Nothing is 100% safe from clamperl! Your counters are the walls who can take around 50% dmg or less, AND who are still full hp / not statused, AND who can both ohko you or recover hp. Like even if you land the icebeam on meganium, it might heal up while you switch out, is the worst that can happen. But all these conditions must be true at the same time! For example, meganium fulfills most of those, but if it's para'd at 70% hp, it may as well be tossed to the graveyard. Clamperl doesn't have 'hard hard counters that it can't ever touch'. Since it two-shots (sometimes 3) the entire meta. With the right support, it will kill their entire team. On that note, the best support for clamperl is status spread (para or poison are both fine) and spikes. If you can chunk a wall down 30%, clamperl can probably deal with it. If enemy is poisoned, clamperl can always stall one turn with protect to secure the KO. The rest of the team should probably be a standard very solid defensive core, spikes, status. Clamperl doesn't have to be the 'gimmick centerpiece' that everything revolves around. It counters half the tier, and has tools to deal with the other half. Then you got 5 more slots for a sick teambuild. You will want more offensive options: For exmaple, if your pokemon dies to a manec, clamperl can't come in and do its revenge killer job. You'll want a choice scarf on something, probably. Clamperl can revenge kill anything that was in that list of 'slow pokemon' up there, or it can come in on weak pokemon that don't have the damage to threaten clamperl. It has underrated defense, and won't really take anything from water, ice, steel attacks. in conclusion, the key to success with clamperl in UU is: good prediction on what's going to switch in for maximum damage to pressure even the walls clever use of protect, to scout possible speed investment, mind reading patient setup of status and spikes, slowly crippling the entire team 5 other good pokes if you aren't convinced, just remember stab surf Clamperl Surf vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Cradily: (43.5 - 51.8%) -- 11.3% chance to 2HKO totally busted see you next time in round 3 for how to play clamperl in ou

  4. Hello, im going to show a Cloyster i had when i was soyhector ingame :,) http://imgur.com/a/S7XTl This build could be a surprise for your oponent, because almost all cloysters are wall. With that speed and scarf it is faster than aerodactyl, and defeats him in 1 hit. If you do good predictions you can defeat some of its counters like venusaur, jolteon, magneton, etc. It is really practical because you can also stop breeloms, sceptiles and rhydons with substitute using icicle spear. When you see a gyarados boosting dd you can put it calmly, or you can be rambo vs a flygon because you wont faint of 1 superpower. Other counters will be slower than this cloyster because of the scarf, some could be defeated in 1 hit and others deals damage of 90-95% but you can combine this cloyster with a spiker or use it at the late game and wouldnt be a problem. Here Some calcs:

You can imagine it's been a long road for him and after all this effort and 4 years he finally got the shiny of his dreams after taking a stroll somewhere in a bush. He even had a Porygon egg that was waiting for him. Please applaud this man <3 May his souls rest in peace piece..s.

Had great people in this team and even if i didn't play it was a pleasure being with you guys, training and practicing every week. imo we was best team on the paper, but we all know best teams rarely win PSL anyway. Thanks @BurntZebra for hosting, ik it is not easy being host for PSL and u did it well. It was probably the last PSL season for me since my life gonna die for at least 1 year ^^. Might give 1 or 2 millions for the next season If I am not already gone. Good luck to the teams in final, wish u the best.

  10. So there was a huge PSL match today - Krillin v Mnemosyne. Unfortunately for me, I logged on about 5 minutes after it ended, and have no way of rewatching the action (short of someone recording the gameplay from their computer, which is a rarity.) Wouldn't it be nice if replays could be created from regular duels? I'm thinking either before, or ideally after, a duel is completed, one or both players could be prompted with the option to save the replay. Perhaps, each player could store a certain amount of replays for anyone to view. Alternatively, all saved replays could be teleported to a "replay hub" which could be accessible from the PC, and would simply host all replays "saved" via this method. You'd be able to sort them by time, length, tier, etc. This isn't all that different than what the tournament replays interface already does, and it allows unofficial tournaments the luxury of recording gameplay. Pros: Allows for people who aren't online at the time of a big match to watch the action, much like in tournaments (where replays are saved). This has countless uses - will also benefit the tier council by giving them more high quality matches with which to make observations about the metagame. Cons: does give people a better ability to scout their opponent from week to week, but this is something that already exists and is pretty much unavoidable. Also, this may take some additional, difficult coding, I'm not sure

  11. "Wait what, shitlord Trashmaster is entering the contest? LMFAO" - Every PokeMMO player in 20xx Anyway here goes: It's time to talk about everybody's favourite blue blob. Obviously Azumarill is most commonly known for it's good offensive characterics thanks to Huge Power. With Choice Band it can beat unprepared UU teams better than Chris Brown against Rihanna. Or you can run a Belly Drum set if you feel like the angus isn't quite peppered yet. However, Azumarill is still a blue blob and in the following build I will treat it how it is: Tier: UU Aidzumarill Item: Leftovers Nature: Calm Ability: Thick Fat EVs: 252 HP / 252 Sp Def Whirlpool Perish Song Rest Protect Well there you have it, a super cancerous set that will make you feel so dirty for using it, not even wearing Crocs for the rest of your life will even come close as some form of repentance. You want to maximize it's special defense because the biggest threats in the UU tier against it comes from the likes of Manectric, Haunter, Meganium etc. With this spread it prevents from getting 2hitko'd by non-tbolt haunter and meganium, see calc later. Thanks to it's natural bulk and Thick Fat it can come in on practically any Water, Fire or Ice type move, Whirlpool whatever switches in to trap it, to then perish song and stall the subsequent turns with Protect and Rest. Slowking switching in to Twave or Toxic? Check. Blastoise doesn't have Roar? Check. Meganium might fear Ice Punch, but even if it switches in: 0 SpA Meganium Giga Drain vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Azumarill: 62-74 (29.9 - 35.7%) -- 27.9% chance to 3HKO Easiest Perish Song/Protect/Rest of my life. To summarise: It shits on almost anything that can't kill it in 2 turns or doesn't have some sort of phazing I said almost, there obviously are counters and checks. Manectric will take damage from some whirlpool turns but does win the war vs Azumarill. Anything with Roar Certain pokemon with Soundproof like Electrode. Taunt Water Absorb Oh yeah, whirlpool can also miss... Good teammates: Azumarill really benefits from Wish Support, Status Removal and a switchin for electric moves from the likes of Manectric. Nidoqueen would make a good partner. Switches in on Manectric Tbolt or Haunter, can trap with pursuit, has good special defense etc. Other options:- Wish support from maybe a clefable. - Status removal from Meganium tl;dr If you don't win with this strat you might as well cover yourself in honey and run through a swarm of bees

  12. BST: 460 PokeMMO OU Average BST: 512.8 (Data gathered from the 23 Pokemon with greater than 10% usage in OU; range 455 - 600) Abysmal Stats? Check. Make an Offensive Set from a Defensive Mon? See Below. Discussion: Lunatone is pure ass on paper, but in a diverse Over-Used tier (lol, diverse) it can provide both surprise and a "WTF are you thinking?!" laugh from your opponent. So why am I pushing a shitty Lunatone into OU? Well because it is a momentum building monster, that's why. Consider the following set: LunaBait Item: Leftovers Nature: Modest Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 SpAtt / 252 Spe Calm Mind Psychic Ancientpower Moonlight / Substitute With this set, you have suddenly went from a shitty Pokemon that has no viability in NU to a Pokemon that can absolutely annihilate OU with the proper support. So what happens when your opponent sends in CB or Scarf Flygon, spams EQ, and you send in Lunatone? First they go, "fuck off you noob" and then reliably switch to one of several options: Porygon2, Starmie, Milotic, Forretress, Skarmory, Umbreon or Metagross. These are some of the highest used Pokemon in OU and suddenly you realize you can't touch any of them with your shitty floating rock. Well this is where it gets easy, just double switch into Wynaut and trap them suckers (plug for a second shitty mon)! Once you've effectively trapped one of these threats you can easily remove them with either Encore + Counter/Mirror Coat or Encore and switch to Trapinch or Magneton to kill them off entirely. Once you've remove one threat, you have a damn good opportunity to rinse and repeat as you suicide a future Wynaut trap into either Trapinch or Magneton, and thus once you've removed your Lunatone counter, it's time to wreak fucking havoc!!! Of the 23 Pokemon in OU with 10% or greater usage that weren't mentioned as counters above, only Swampert, Alakazam, Jolteon, and Dusclops can live a +1 Psychic or Ancientpower. Otherwise, everything else is OHKO'd. Yes, that means a +1 Modest Life Orb Lunatone can one shot damn near every OU mon in the game, and to add, Lunatone turns Dusclops into set-up bait for more power since it really can't do anything to our heroic moonstone. So what does that mean? If you're opponent is a "P.O.S. Wall uguu" then Lunatone will likely sweep their asses once you've ran the Wynaut + Trapinch/Magneton cycle, and if they're not of the aforementioned ilk, then Lunatone will most certainly be getting a kill since hardly anything mentioned above can OHKO the beast known as Lunatone. tl;dr Lunatone is a fucking SAVAGE. So the next time you see this worthless rock in your PC, take a moment and think to yourself? Is it just a worthless rock, or is it bait for an easy win. And hell, if it doesn't work out at least you'll now know to "throw a rock" rather than "use the bait" when it comes to the Safari =) Stay thirsty my friends.

  13. This entry will be Graveler in NU Graveler on paper is seemingly an absolutely terrible pick for any tier, even NU. It has an appalling 390 base stat total. 390 is in the same tier as Weepinbell and Ledian, which are two garbage mons. This being said, Graveler has a niche in NU as it shares the ability of its infamous brother Golem. This ability is sturdy, which allows it to survive an 1hko for any mon. This allows Graveler to take one hit from anything, and hit back with hard hitting Rock and Ground stabs, and other coverage like superpower, explosion, or even get off a last minute rapid spin. Not only is sturdy helping it survive hits, but it can wall normal and flying moves from the likes of Fearow, Stantler, Granbull, Scyther, Murkrow and Niinjask. It can take poison and bug type moves from the likes of Muk, Masquerain. It can switch in on fat mons like Shuckle, Kecleon, and Macargo which allows it to fire off an extremely hard hitting QuakeSlide combo. Graveler is also immune to electric type attacks, allowing it to switch into the likes of Raichu, and Electabuzz. Although you better be hopeful they are choiced, or you have sturdy available. You are not taking surf or hp grass, hell even hp ice probably kills you. Now don't get me wrong, Graveler is a super niche pick. But the unique thing about Graveler, is no other Pokemon in NU can be used as a sturdy-user and wallbreaker at the same. It can function as a very potent lead, and a powerful offensive pivot into common normal and flying type moves. Graveler finally has the time to shine with Aggron and Golem leaving the tier, allowing it to have its niche. Don't sleep on 95 base attack backed up with a choice band and 2 powerful stabs. Not to mention a respectable 55/115 defense spread allowing it to take a few resisted hits. Set: Relevant calcs:

  20. Aron lvl 1 with Shell Bell as an object and Protect, Endeavor and Sandstorm/Toxic as moves is op despite having abysmal stats. Aron doesn't need EV investment or good IVs. The only thing Aron needs is a trashboi as an opponent, so that the sweep can come true. Thanks to Shell Bell and having only 12 HP, Aron can get back to full life after using Endeavor against nearly any healthy lvl 50 pokemon which also mean getting back sturdy while bringing the opponent to very low HP. Aron can't really switch on anything because it would risk losing sturdy and that would make it useless. For that reason, playing it as a lead is ideal. It does decently well in tiers where ghosts are rare like NU and OU since that means there are no free switch against endeavor for the opponent. Pairing Aron with a decent Pursuit user helps a lot against ghosts. Aron also does pretty good against offense in general because it is a huge momentum killer. Since Endeavor is not a fatal move, Aron needs Toxic or Sandstorm to hit the opponent's mon after it has been brought down to low hp. Protect can capitalise safely on the dmg from Toxic and/or Sandstorm. All steel types are unaffected by Toxic and Sandstorm, so Aron is left harmless against them. Pokemons immune to Toxic that hold a leftovers and have less than 176 HP can also not die against Aron. For that reason, Roar should be considered as a potential move on aron since it would prevent certain mons from setting up on it. Aron is super vulnerable against multistrike moves, sleeping moves and Fake Out. Therefore, Aron needs to be supported with a team that can handle the mons using these moves commonly and, since those mons vary from tier to tier, the counters needed will also vary from tier to tier. ugu

  22. Plusle and Minun for doubles, got that plus and minus ability to give each other some extra bang for your buck. But I know what you're thinking, but Havsha, is that really enough?? Well, listen here, both of these pokemon learn helping hand, giving you extra spark for your bite.So the top recommendations for its move set is probably thunderbolt,hp ice/grass(having both between the two for that extra diversity), helping hand and either encore or protect, it is doubles after all. Honestly, a Plusle can start pulling its own weight with these conditions, not only because it weights a mere 4.2kg, but with a bast spatk of 85 and a base speed of 95, the boost makes it more than capable with handling your common doubles pest. Still not convinced? Well lets take a look at the calcs: I may or may not have a plusle and minun for sale, irrelevant I swear

    Safari better ball

This would massively devalue hard to catch Pokemon such as the Johto starters and the effort put into obtaining them, so I can guarantee that we won't be giving players a cheap Master Ball with each safari run. This sort of blatantly flawed suggestion (and a few people supporting it without thinking about it) is something I see a lot, so I'll take this opportunity to share some general advice for the people who frequent this section - the more thought out and reasonable that a suggestion is, the higher the likelihood of the problem it seeks to solve being addressed. If it's a minor yet complex problem like this and we also have to come up with a solution from scratch, it tends to not be tweaked for a long time, if ever. These are some questions worth asking yourselves when making a suggestion; "What is this suggestion trying to achieve?" "What positive/negative impact will this have on the game?" "Is there a way to lose the negatives without losing the positives?" "Can this be done through a completely different method?" From what I can gather, the underlying issue here is the paranoia associated with potentially encountering a shiny in the safari and having it flee from battle, making players not want to go to the safari. Giving players the ability to essentially purchase a temporary master ball is not an option due to the economic impact it would have on non-shiny rares, so let's look at an alternative; preventing shiny Pokemon from appearing in the safari at all. This would completely address the paranoia issue for those aware of the change, but it's perhaps not ideal as it would make safari-exclusive shinies extremely rare. This wouldn't be as much of an issue if no species are actually safari-exclusive however, which may eventually be the case as more regions are added. If this alternative is undesirable, I encourage people to think of other alternatives that they would prefer to address the issue instead of simply building upon something that is realistically never going to happen. This applies to all suggestions, not this one in particular. @Ichigo has the right approach here, although his particular alternative isn't viable as it's both inconsistent with the rules of the world and ceases to fix the issue when players have used all of their Master Balls. In any case, this is how problems get solved - by thinking about the problem itself and considering the pros, cons, and overall effectiveness of a proposed solution, then finding other ways to do it if it's not going to work. The first thing that pops into a person's head is usually not going to be the right answer.

It has 90 base attack power which nobody using. Access to stab Double Edge or Facade. Even not need to calculations. It can learn Trick if u don't want CB at end game. ( Can learn Sucker Punch !! ) Summary: I used many times. Its good enough. I don't need to write an explanation about how to use for this well known poke. But well people thinks it difficult to kill so they can use toxic or thunderwave on you. Facade really do good job.

  34. On phone so can't make it look dope. Rash Muk for NU. Moveset: Sludgebomb-GigaDrain-Fireblast-Focuspunch. Item: Lifeorb -2hkos Bellossom -1hko Victreebel -1hko Kecleon -2hko Solrock -1hko Whiscash -1hko Kabutop -1hko Venomoth -2hko Roselia -2hko Walrein ( fp + giga drain ) Paired with Murkrow to trap Chimecho, this set can be threatening if used with a good prediction. Although Shuckle can stop it easily.

  36. ... by its cover. Old and maybe a bit corny saying but hey, it's true. This definitely applies in Pokemon as well in terms of Pokemon's base stats. The first thing that people most commonly notice about a Pokemon is Pokemon's base stats. It often determines whether this Pokemon deserves a second look or not. For the most part, stats are important. Well, the most important single factor of any Pokemon. It doesn't matter what type advantages you have, what moves you have if a 600 BST Dragonite faces a baby Pokemon. You don't bring a sword to a gunfight.... or Azurill to Elite Four. Unless you have tons of X items and Full Restores but let's not get derailed here. Base stats often determine the very nature and role of a Pokemon as well. It doesn't matter how wide is your coverage if your damage output is equivalent to a baby. Or it doesn't matter if you learned all the support moves in the world if you get knocked out cold by a mild breeze. The theme in part 2 is to come up with the most unique, creative and effective Pokemon build despite the Pokemon's low stats in your seemingly needed area. You have two options: Make any viable build for a Pokemon that has abysmal stats all across the board Make a viable offensively oriented build for a Pokemon with more defensive stats or a defensively oriented build for a Pokemon with more offensive stats You can choose this build to be from any PokeMMO's tier (OU, UU, NU, Doubles, LC). Ubers is allowed too because why not. Important: Because too many people already misinterpreted this in the first part, I'll emphasize it here again: The winner won't necessarily be the most effective build but the one that is deemed the most unique, most creative, most interesting but at the same time still serving an actual purpose in its metagame. Explaining what Pokemon does this build support and why should it be used are very needed parts of your entry. Write-ups that will guaranteed to not win due to being too popular or too easy to be considered a creative entry: I guess that's all, good luck! Deadline: 29th August at 5 PM EST. Oh right, the prize. The prize for this one will be 5 of every shard. Further donations are welcome.

  37. That's what I thought, but once gyarados absorbed the spore from smeargle, going forretress seems like a pretty easy play to spin away hazards or set up hazards if he feared rotom (KG stall also runs payback on forretress which makes forretress pretty much risk free actually)

  40. Not really. Daryl will just pay me off, while Keith and Krilliin won't have to wait for their money anymore, while I can wait. I know Daryl would eventually pay anyway, he might be a drug but he Is a very honest person.
