Infinite TM use is unhealthy for the economy of an MMO, TM's would effectively become worthless as you would only require one of them (and everyone can easily get one of them via story) so no one would buy or sell TMs anymore. I am fairly sure this was deliberately kept to being consumable for these reasons. (same reason why you don't get consumable hold items back after duels vs. players unlike in handhelds, such as Focus Sash, Berries, etc).

I think he just meant that devs make a good living selling TMs to players through their NPCs distributors. We probably all dream of having a Pokeyen bank account like theirs to buy luxurious houses, cars and w.e.

I started the game 2 days ago, I want to participate in this tournament since there are going to be the best people and so I can learn new things about the meta. I have been top 20 in showdown in gen7 and top 2 in Gen6 that is my favorite one. I do not know if the entrances are closed or it needs some requirements but I will just leave it here ahahha. Having chat locked at 2 badges isn't a "reward," it's an actually fantastic system to prevent bots from coming in and spamming our chats; a problem that is rampant in many other MMOs. Botters most likely don't have the patience to do all the work just to start spamming links and such (which aren't even clickable in public chats to prevent such scamming/virus spreading). Even if it is annoying for new players, they all get their 2nd badge eventually and it's a small price to pay for keeping the chat bot free.

Dude, what are you talking about? One facepalm thread after another. What do TMs in the GTL have to do with dev money? They didn't change the game itself, they just decided that the older TM system suits the MMO better. You do understand what an MMO is? There needs to be progress, things to work towards, gated content. This is PokeMMO, not pokemon handhelds in slightly different. You will face many more changes that may seem odd to you but are (most of the time?) done for a reason, probably economy/battle/difficulty balance.

two suggestions really: -search by IV total (so you can just type 150 and get guaranteed pretty decent breeders -- makes sense now that IV total is actually on the summary page) -type min/max level instead of dropdown with 100 options (just like for min/max iv) applies both to gtl and boxes, naturally

This test has concluded, and PokeMMO for Android is now available to everyone. When I try and connect to the game it tells me that I am missing the required roms to play on the map. Now I got rid of Fire Red because I believe we don't need that rom anymore but when i use the White Rom I own, it still says that I don't have the right rom despite using the exact same rom during the PTS and it worked just fine for me with no problems but using it in the main server it suddenly doesn't work. Am I missing something, do I need both Black and White or am I missing another rom I am not aware of? I'm not asking for Roms by the way I know that's not allowed I am just wondering where I went wrong. The only File in my Rom folder is the Pokemon White Rom. Any help would be hugely appreciated! Can we get a GTL advanced search option that looks something like this: https://imgur.com/vkrjbr4 What it does is taking into account only the checked stats, in this case HP, Def and SpDef, and showing only results that have a total EV of these 3 stats added together of 93 (in this case) or higher. I think this feature would be very much appreciated by a large number of players =)

they did remove alot of berry spots in hoenn and added some berry spots that was not in the original game. route 104 near rustboro had a berry field that was removed. And they added a berry field a few steps north east from the house where u get wailmerpail that was not in the original game. No clue why they removed those fields and the story berries.Only admins could tell us but they dont share much data. They will probably remove the berry fields and story berries from sinnoh as well when its added.Based on what they did with hoenn.

I wouldn't mind the spamming if we had a specified chat for it. Like Global but for recruitment. It would keep everything isolated as well as make it easier for players to find teams if they're teamless.

'Smogon' rules are actually our own ruleset with inspiration taken from that format, but that's semantics. The real issue is that adding multiple formats like this that adhere to a completely different ruleset splits the community and makes things harder for new players to understand. You're interested in competitive play, and already know the difference between 'Smogon' and 'VGC' rules, but to a new player neither of these are something they understand, it's all just 'competitive' to them. We'd also have to sustain 2 rulesets when it's a challenge at times to sustain 1. So then the question becomes "Well which ruleset do we take as our standard?" And the answer (as you've seen) is 'Smogon', because we came to the conclusion that they're considerably better balanced. It's not unlikely that we might include VGC rules in battle options in the future, but it's probably unlikely that we'd include it as a standard format such as in matchmaking.
