Sup pal, great job with your guide 💖

I think you forgot this vanity, or at least i couldn't find it.

Pd. The Green Motorcycle Helmet isn't obtainable by gift store anymore, you can find only the colorable one. I think based on his icon color now is obtainable by mystery box or something.

Added the Sweatband and made a correction with the Helmet. Now it is only listed as just a "Motorcycle Helmet."

As a non competitive player I've been in LYLE, NORE, Aw and many more competitive teams over the years.
Even though I'm personally not affected by which team gets the vanity I'd just like to share my 2 cents since I understand the grind and at times toxicity most competitive players have to swim through to be the best.
Also since most competitive players are usually not fulltime item / shiny traders and are constantly burning money on making more comps, the appeal of a vanity earned from winning is the best flex for many!

If scores were calculated in a different way in the past and that determined that time's overall winner, I believe it's only fair that it should be honored. And the new scoring system only be applicable to the years / TT where it was introduced.
If a team was rated to be the best by the standard that existed back then, it really makes no sense to challenge that title with a new system which was implemented much later on and they can be rewarded accordingly.

Or you can also consider giving it to the top 2 teams of that year if the calculation is really getting out of hand and no scenario seems fair.
And if that isn't going to work either, it's for times like these that we have a Mayor! I believe we need to submit to whatever our elected leader decides.

@Bestfriends Please guide your constituents and help end this debate.

I think that a vanity for TT of the Year champions would be something that can boost enthusiasm to partake in more Team Tournaments.

As for the TT scoring system, that is beyond my scope of specialty, however I trust the level headed minds in this thread to make a good call on this. Whatever the results may be from these discussions, I wish the Teams well with their competitions!

Good morning, I hope everyone is doing well! Have you ever wondered what an Ability would do or what pokemon could have said Ability? If this was a concern of yours, then this guide may help point you in the right direction. For years, I had been scanning back and forth between Bulbapedia to get a list of all the pokemon with this Ability or Hidden Ability. Now with this guide, you can do CNTL + F or if you are on phone, then go to the three dots at the top right and click on "Find in Page." Once there, then type in the Pokemon's name and you can get the Ability listings. If there is a pokemon with an Ability you do not want (Hidden or not), then you can use an W5DUoz6.pngAbility Pill which can be bought from the Daycare Lady for $35,000 in any region. Without further ado, let us list out the Pokemon Abilities!

For more Pokemon Details besides the Abilities, then feel free to check out my PokeDex Guide.

If you would like to have check out some guides that are a bit more tailored to PvE, then feel free to check out @DragoTamer's PvE Pickup Guide, PvE Breloom, Shedinja, PvE Parasect, Cute Charm Delcatty, Spinda that is useful for Alpha Catching, Optimal Mt. Silver Rampardos, Haxorus, and Basculin (When HA Drops), and PvE Abilities that don't have independent guides.

Are you struggling with the Storyline? If so, then feel free to check out my X-Ray Guide that goes through a lot of major NPC sets.

    Guide Key

    0. Ability's Name

    Definition: (The in game definition)

Pokemon with this Ability Naturally: Pokemon-Sprites-GuidesSample (The list of pokemon that can gain this ability naturally); Pokemon-Sprites-GuidesSample (If the pokemon's name is bold, then this is one of two abilities this pokemon could have)

Pokemon with this Diamond-Hidden-Ability-Alpha-IconsHidden Ability: Pokemon-Sprites-GuidesSample (The list of pokemon that can only gain this ability if the Hidden Ability is unlocked)

    Color Coding

Pokemon-Sprites-GuidesSample = Likely to be implemented.

Pokemon-Sprites-GuidesSample = Unlikely to be implemented.

Pokemon-Sprites-GuidesSample = Implemented as a "King of the Hill" Battle.

Pokemon-Sprites-GuidesSample = Story Mode's Ability (Note: The Story Mode Giratina and Ho-Oh cannot be caught. However, the Story Mode Zekrom can be caught. It is not keepable though, but you can visit it in your Mother's House.).

    (Expert Opinion)

Fairy Typing coming at the 9th hour was a horrible decision from Game Freak in my view. Mega Evolutions also made everything broken in competitive play (it is a "Get Out of Jail Free" Card if you are ever on the losing end of a duel). Back when I was not so good in competitive play, Megas were my clutch to victory. It would be a sad day if we get Mega Evolutions here on PokeMMO, however my gut tells me that in a few years, we may receive the Fairy Type. If this is the case, then I can adapt to the meta since the PokeMMO Development Team is very talented in their competitive execution of features.

For those who want Kalos to be implemented, I have three concerns to share:

    1. Moving Diagonally = In Kalos, you need to move diagonally in some cases. This may have us click on two arrow keys rather than just one (or map out the movement keys elsewhere).  This could also increase the demand in a PC Controller to be used for PokeMMO. Not to mention the fact that moving diagonally may need to be featured for our NDS and GBA Games. Fortunately, there is a brilliant programmer that has done this for his character for Pokemon Emerald.

    Spoiler

    2. Vanities = Almost every single vanity will have to be put into 3D. This could be a daunting task for someone like @Darkshade, @Rache, or anyone else to do. It may also slow down the release of new vanities which help to bring revenue into PokeMMO.

    3. Particles = All of our Particles take advantage of PokeMMO's current Battle UI. Implementing a 3D Region can throw a wrench into this feature.

Personally, I feel that after Johto the game is at a "Regionally Complete" State. Some may call for New Kanto or Black 2 and White 2 in the future, however these types of changes are minor in my view. Once Johto is implemented, then I think PokeMMO can look inward at certain things that can be added (Battle Area in Sinnoh or Battle Subway in Unova, Trick House or the other facilities in the Battle Frontier in Hoenn, etc.). I feel that the implementation of Black City and Anville Town was done very well. These are just my two cents, but feel free to agree or disagree with what I am stating here. It should also be noted, the PokeMMO Developers have the final say so on decisions. I trust their judgement in whatever they would like to do.

Mirror Herb but... you can find it by hunting Bronzors with a lot of rarer chance: ~2%

That is the Metal Coat, but those are useful evolution items.

Good eye! It would make sense for other future egg moves too. Older competitive mons could stay relevant this way if they get a good new egg move

I certainly hope so. Voltorb and Electrode having Metal Sound would make them much better.

Breeding a comp Pokémon only to notice that you're missing a useful egg move has to be one of the worst feelings. Not only will you have to rebreed the whole thing, sometimes you will also have to search for a long line of matching egg groups to even get the move.

Gen IX has a simple solution for this:

    The Mirror Herb!

    Bulbapedia description:

    In battle

Mirror Herb will copy an opponent's stat increase once. For instance, if the opponent uses Belly Drum, the Mirror Herb will activate and raise the holder's Attack stage to +6 as well.

    Outside of battle

In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, if the player has a picnic with one Pokémon that holds a Mirror Herb and has an empty move slot, and another Pokémon that knows a move the first Pokémon can learn as an Egg Move, after the picnic the first Pokémon will learn that Egg Move, even if there is no matching Egg Group. This does not consume the Mirror Herb.

Not only does this item have an interesting in-battle effect but it would also make egg moves much more accessible. Of course instead of doing a picnic you would have to place your Pokemon at the daycare. Alternatively you could add an npc that makes you choose 2 pokemon (the learning one and the one with the egg move) and asks for a Mirror Herb in exchange.

Adding this item to the bp shop at a reasonable price would only make sense!

I have some great news for you, it looks like this item may be planned. I say this because the Development Team has added "Metal Sound" as an Egg Move for Voltorb in the recent Updates.

    a70b01d7e4e8c8985514bd26e8194de6.png

As I result, I added it in my Egg Move Index.

Hello everyone, I started playing very recently and I'm making my way through Hoenn. I've always loved Kingdra but because of its evolution requirements I've never been able to use one. I'd like to know, is there a Dragon Scale available in Hoenn? If so, where is it?

    10 minutes ago, kuuai said:

As far as I know, it seems possible to use fishing on the water outside the Dragonspiral Tower, and then use Pickup Ability, with a probability of obtaining Dragon Scale.

Other ways to obtain... I'm sorry, I can't remember clearly.

If it's difficult to utilize Pickup Capability, I think buying directly on an exchange is also a good way, and it's not very expensive either.

Horsea, Seadra, Dratini, Dragonair, Dragonite, Kingdra, Bagon, Shelgon, and Salamence can also have a chance to hold a Dragon Scale. Make sure to bring a pokemon with the Ability Frisk which can allow for you to see if the pokemon is holding an item or not.

PokeMMO Tutor Moves Listing and Requirements (2nd Edition)

    zV5gpPE.png

Before you read this guide, I would like to thank @Lin for his trust in me to restore his PokeMMO Tutor Move Listing and Requirements Guide.

Feel free to check out the First Edition of this guide.

Following the 29/07/2020 update, every region has 2 NPC's which can be found in every pokemon center in each region. One of which is a move master that will teach your pokemon certain moves in return for specific items and the other is able to reteach your pokemon moves that it has or would otherwise learn from levelling up as well as functioning as a move deleter as well. Also following the 28/4/2023 update, a lot of moves were converted from Tutor Moves to TMs. If you no longer see a move that you desire listed here, then feel free to refer to my TM Shop Locations and Catalog Guide.

This moves offered by the move tutor in each region is different and this guide lists which moves are available in which region and what they require to tutor. Each move tutor requests a specific colour of shard and another specific item as listed below.

Use CTRL+F to search for a specific move you're looking for.
