  7. Let's start: https://pokepast.es/95f44076486d484e It's a bulky offense Team around Gastrodon. First off, although the team looks defensive in the first glance, it is supposed to be used as a pressuring team that relies on stacking damage before Mamoswine/Sigilyph can clean it up. Teambuilding process: Gastrodon Gigalith Slowbro Heracross Mamoswine Sigilyph Extra note: evs on Gastro optimize overall bulk, while retaining leftovers numbers. Evs on Sigilyph are so it can invest in both hp/spatk/speed and also make it so Porygon-z boosts the wrong stat.

  8. Let's try something : https://pokepast.es/4ddfda5d0c3f1ee1 Alakazam: because p2 still i the tier imo that's almost the only set of alakazam viable in UU atm. It still be a very dangerous cleaner/sweeper after a nastyplot but the real problem is his almost inexistant bulk so i tried to make it easier to set up. Umbreon: the best friend for alakazam, wanted to find a pokemon who can easily set a sub and use batton pass to alakazam to not use the sash on the switch in. Empoleon: needed to have a strong defoger since i run focus sash on alakazam. can toxic some special wall that can be ennoying for alakazam. Also ,p2 still a real probleme in this tier and knowk of can be really usefull to knock the p2's eviolite or some scarf mon that can outspeed Alakazam. EV spread: outspeed P2 with few speed Rotom: with some weakness to fight and ground , i needed something that can check these 2 kind of type. Also have a lack of momentum with the 3 first mon something that can use volt switch or uturn isnt a bad idea. Since we dont have ghost type that can easily keep momentum , i choose this little rotom to get all these job done at one time. Gliglar: since the team still weak to fight type move , i decided to take another fighting resist with me, also i didnt have any volt switch immunity and no stealth rock. The EV spread is to resist to hidden power ice from rotom heat specs. Porygon Z: thinking about an UU team without him kekw. Can spam tri-attack with the metronome and can also come easily with umbreon's sub.

  9. https://pokepast.es/b353aa47b03204fc okay so this is a team, i normally use, hitmontop and togekiss help a lot this team, wideguard blocks heatwave-muddywater-eartquake-rockslide-discharge, pretty common moves that can destroy or seriously damage this team , now my english isnt the best but i will try, speed with hitmontop and togekiss is needed in case u want to outspeed certain thins, like non speed ev blastoise, or in the case of togekiss with tailwind on his side, outspeeding crobat , the rest its simple, rotom-w and mamoswine work pretty well since mamoswine can hit dragons and grass and help rotom with priority(ice shard) while rotom can boost thanks to his bulk , or keep pressing with eartquake and discharge combo , anyway going into chandelure and scizor, theyre the best option agains tr, chandelure hits really hard a lot of tr setters, and scizor can just boost and bpunch you to death or bug bite to death, i forgot to said tailwind helps the team with the main issue which is SPEED, overall the teams works pretty fine with the support that hitmontop and togekiss offers, as well as the coverage the mons have. 10. https://pokepast.es/05714fdd72f89897 this team is basically a revamp of the team that i ran in [UU] Bug catcher Time finals vs Wallarro Zam + Scrafty Ok so i'll start with Zam, amazing underrated mon in UU imo with a huge sweeping potential but his problem is the lack of bulk in a tier with a lot of scarf (Krookodile, Flygon,Staraptor and Rotom) which means easily revenge killable. Protect is kinda here to scout opposing scarf u-turn and the colbur is here to avoid zam to be rk'd by Krook with a pursuit after you scouted which move they locked on. Keep on mind that Zam is an absolute beast if YOU DON'T MISS Focus Blast (gl). Calcs: My second choice was between Heracross with spikes support and this big boi since they both resist dark. I feel like Scrafty is better here because dragon dance is another threat that the opponent will have to deal along with nasty plot zam. This set allows to wall mons that can annoy Zam like Dusclops, Bronzong and Spiritomb. Taunt annoys hazer like Vaporeon however you'll have to be lucky with the shed skin proke. This spread allows Scrafty to outspeed Porygon-Z and Roserade after a dd and rest is to maximize its bulk. Crobat is the best UU mon imo, amazing speed tier and very useful resistances. Zam and Scrafty are both weaks to heracross this is why i put crobat in there which resist both stab (stone edge burned can hurt but the rest of the team can deal with that) spreads allow to outspeed max speed Jolly Scrafty after a DD, max def and rest in HP to maximize its bulk. Basically needed a volt switch blocker to stop lanturn/rotom heat to pivot like they want. Could have chose another mon of this list aka gastrodon which is a better tank but fuck walls we want stuff that like truck. Toxic sub is a great combo to stall out Slowbro/vapo and earthquake them back to deal big damage as mentionned above. Another very useful mon for the team, basically the switch in to punish with Rocky Helmet stuff like Staraptor BB or Flygon DC that you scouted earlier with Zam. Metagross also set Stealth Rocks and combo very well with Swampy against Rotom-H. Checks stuff like Snorlax, can 1v1 forretress that spin vs metagross and beat crobat which annoy scrafty. Last but not least, the unkillable mon aka P2. Well huh the duck is here to check and even come in on threat like Sigilyph, Specs Yanmega and hit like a truck anything that isn't a wall. Goodluck all and amazing event Quinn UwU IGN: iMat

    Summer Seasonal Event

I think we should work towards having a new seasonal tournament event. The automated tournament system can really afford a great opportunity to limit time investment by staff to make this event a reality. There could also be a theme to help guide prizes. How I would foresee this happening? 32-man qualifying events (2 per week x8 weeks, make sure to have rotating days and times to accommodate different time zones, emphasis on weekends) 1st Place: Invite + RP 2nd Place: Invite 3rd/4th: Reserve 32 man finale (in-person, double-elimination) 1st: First choice Shiny Pokemon + RP + Champion Signature 2nd: Second choice Shiny Pokemon + RP 3rd: Third choice Shiny Pokemon + RP Prize options: Three top tier prize Shiny Pokemon. I don't even know what these would be today, options might include: Volcarona, Rotom-Wash/Mow, Milotic, Scizor, Chansey, or to a lesser extent Salamence, Dragonite, Tyranitar, Breloom, and Skarmory. Seasonal tournament events are always a great way to reward the competitive community and build interest in the game. Streamers record matches and post them on their respective streaming/video platforms and that is free advertisement. It also shows a healthy, active game that attracts more players. In-person events while taxing on staff, are also a throwback to an older time that might attract older players that want to be seen. It would also attract older players that want attention and fame. We can then recreate this format for other tiers during future seasons.

  16. Let me start off by saying that the PvP update about a year ago was a good step towards the right direction. The effectiveness of the update can be seen that it resulted in people playing Underused and Neverused tiers at least sometimes, which is something that before never happened before. In addition, the inclusion of Doubles to matchmaking has been successful for the most part. The problem with the Matchmaking system is that it is still not rewarding enough. To be honest, it's not even close. In addition, the foundation of PokeMMO economics are broken or at the very least unfair to competitive players. The casuals (or "farmers") are the suppliers and competitive players are the consumers. The problem is that for the most part, this works only in one way. For a healthy MMO economy, both of these groups have to have something that the other group may desire in order to make the endgame economy balanced. The problem is that competitive players have no commodity to sell to the casuals. The seasonal vanities are untradable, the vanity prizes are untradable, the shiny prizes are untradable, even the budget comps from matchmaking rewards are untradable. Everything that is tradable from the matchmaking rewards are something that the casual players could already get with minimal effort, besides PvP Mystery Boxes and Battle Point purchasable items which are pretty much the only exception to the rule I'm saying right now. (And ironically the people desiring the Battle Point prize items are other PvP players). And what comes to tournaments, the only tradable commodity is the Reward Point prize reward which even though is nice and useful is definitely not fair in terms of difficulty-to-reward, considering how difficult it is to win 64+ player tournaments against the best PvP players in the game (unless you have thousands of hours of experience). In my opinion, the fix for the economy would be to have more competitively obtainable prizes that are 1) desirable 2) unobtainable by the non-PVP playerbase with minimal effort. This would balance out the economy by making the demand two-way and thus make it more fair for competitive players. It is important that it is viable to increase your wealth by both playing casually and also by playing PvP events. Currently it is (still) not that way. It is quite saddening to see that most competitive players are getting resources by selling their old time limited vanities because these are the only commodities the casual playerbase is interested of buying from competitive players. This is why we need something else to sell to casuals - if tradable shinies are completely off-limits it can be useful tradable items (such as shiny charms) to tradable desired vanities, for example. This way the casuals would supply competitive players with competitive Pokemon/breeders/useful battle items and the competitive players would supply the casual playerbase with desired items and vanities. I think this would highly balance out the PokeMMO economy by making the demand two-way. Looking forward to hear your opinions.

  18. https://pokepast.es/9b8872124575d201 My team is based on putting pressure on the opponent with pokemons with great offensive potential, with walls that can give them the moment to hit or kill, Poliwrath is like a brake for Azumarill BD and hit hard with CC, it is the fighting pokemon I was looking for , Typhlosion Specs to hit HO teams hard, Yanmega is a good wallbreaker, with wearing down Porygon or Lanturn it can sweep whole teams, Gligar / Forrethres / Porygon are solid walls, also 2 of them are capable of giving time for the 3 Sweepers what do I bring

If Shed's ability is coming back for PvE then the trainers should be a lot harder. If the game detects that you have a shedinja in your team, the trainers will have a new set of teams made to counter it. Then it all boils down to your skill or how well you can predict the system. See… Balanced. As all things should be.

  27. As a representative of the Tier Council, I wanted to write and explain that banning these items falls out of our jurisdiction. Regardless, we have been in discussion and we unanimously agreed that hax items such as Quick Claw, King's Rock, and others are not inherently broken. With that said though, we further debated whether they should be banned as they add no benefit to competitive play. These items promote "poor" play by encouraging players to rely on RNG, by removing otherwise helpful items for a very small chance of benefit. Furthermore, these items when actually making an effect on a match simply do so by hurting "good" play. Meaning, when these items result in a momentum changing or game-winning play, it is at the loss of the player whom had the advantage. My opinion is that this is not healthy for our metagame. Counter arguments are that these items are unlikely to be used and even more unlikely to have an effect in a game. Usage is incredibly low and better players recognize there are better items to be had, excluding the Skill Link + King's Rock strategy which has picked up. Overall, the TC was split in their vote(5 for and 4 against) when it came to hypothetically banning these items. FYI, we do not disclose individual votes.

  29. Yep, seems like you called this one perfectly. Personally, I'd respect it if someone in staff explained me why I'm completely wrong here but we're not even getting that. But then at the same time there's no one from staff saying that at least some of these points I made or someone else made in this thread are legitimate concerns. I understand these things are hard and making decisions in such large scale is difficult. But sharing an opinion at least gives feedback whether the visions of community and staff are even remotely on the same path. Instead, it's a complete radio silence.

Disfruten! All you can do with this accessory is to just have viewing permissions of the box and its content (mons). I would also suggest that we have the ability to link mons from our box to any chat we want through the accessory. Its just a QOL update but I believe it's an update that everyone will welcome.

  40. ++++++++++++++ 1 I've been playing this game for like 2 or 3 years, coming with some hype and dropping for months every time, and during this experience the competitive side of the game was the only thing that made me still logging in after ending all the regions E4. This is the real endgame for A LOT of people. What I felt after knowing that I would have to do repetitive and braindead gym runs everyday in order do build my teams, instead of playing the competitive game that I was wondering to, was that it has no point for me to waste precious two hours of my day, everyday, just to farm money. I want to have some fun on my own way and be rewarded for playing this way. I know that some people really enjoy the farm side of the game, but this actual state of the game just make me less interested of playing it. I'm really proud of the engagement of everyone that posted here, it's a really important subject to discuss and we need to make the staff to feel our feelings this way.

  47. Let me share my personal input into this controversial topic. First, allow me to separate the mentioned abilities/items into two: 1- Sand Veil /Snow Cloak. 2- King's rock /Quick claw. 1) They require specific conditions in the field to trigger (aka weather). They are also shared information both players possess (since its an ability). Therefore, the miss rate provided by these abilities is not much different than, let's say, a miss from Hydro Pump. In which case, it's up to the players to play in the way they maximize their victory chance. In sum, and in my opinion, I can't say that 1) falls within rng or uncompetitive status, because that would mean stuff like Hydro Pump or Focus Blast would be too. What you can argue, however, is that a 20% fixed dodge rate under said conditions is broken, but that's a bit out of topic. Let's move on. 2) These require no specific conditions in the field to trigger. King's rock relies in outspeeding only, while Quick Claw virtually requires nothing at all. The main problem here is that an opposing player has no way to know whether these items are being used before they actually activate themselves (or via superhypermegaultratopkekuseless gimmicks like frisk). This unfortunately removes all sort of skill put into the match, as there is no realistic way to consider these variables to the most optimal winpath, or in other words, puts the game completely in rng hands, essentially removing the "competitive" aspect of it. tldr; rng mechanics are always super bad. Rng abilitiescan be arguably labelled in the broken status, while rng items, such as King's rock and Quick claw should be labelled under Uncompetitive status and therefore banned/removed/whatever you want to call it.
