When considering a good manager, maybe it's worth putting yourself in a players position and consider who you would want to be leading your team. I'd want someone who would be a strong leader and will call out bullshit when they see it. Someone who is respected but also has knowledge on players and able to strategically manage a team differently each week to get the best possible advantage over their opponents. Someone who's able to motivate their players, especially when your team has had a run of bad performances. Additionally, when you look at PSL as a whole, competitiveness is great but something just as important is to just have fun and thats when you can't be too robotic when picking managers. A lot of the above does not actually depend on accolades. There are plenty of managers who I think would be a great choice despite not winning much. I'd say one of the great examples(not necessarily PSL related) would be senile. He was definitely one of the loudest voices within the community and yet he didn't win much. So why did we listen to him? Because regardless, he had knowledge and he was respected throughout for his solid arguments.

I know you want active people but if you played last psl and singup for manager now its most likely your still active. These numbers you have rn is not balanced at all we playing psl not a ladder tournament. Just not sure how this thread even has to exist is the thing but alas I've got time on my hands. Kings Rock is a luck based strategy where the aim is to take autonomy away from your opponent by simply not allowing them to make a move. It is literally the definition of uncompetitive. How is this different to regular RNG? Its intent. The only reason to run kings rock is to remove autonomy from your opponent, it is the single and only goal. Irrespective of what Pokémon is holding kings rock and what attacking move they are using it is uncompetitive. It doesn't matter if there are counters or checks because regardless it is uncompetitive. There is no reason for it to be playable, it adds nothing to the metagame and only serves to make it worse, if you don't want to ban it then remove the flinch chance. Nothing I've said here is "my opinion", it is all simply factual.

IGN: Cali Motivation: Statistically, I’m aware I’m probably in the lowest tier because I currently exclusively play scavenger hunts (<winning an official shiny in the time it takes to sign up for an official tournament), and I was chosen to manage in the past but prioritized my own wins (most manager wins in PSL 12) to gain respect for myself over focusing on team building and cohesion, which I believe I learned to improve the following season working with Sebat (3rd place finish in PSL 13). With managers now being able to play and their games holding more weight than previously, I’d like to see what I can accomplish by combining the positive aspects from my experiences the last 2 seasons. PSL seasons in which you participated as a player: 10, 11 PSL seasons in which you participated as a manager: 12, 13 (co but couldn’t play so yeah) Also: @gbwead While this is a somewhat serious signup, I mainly wanted to bring light to @pachima's current scoring calculation. I'm sure he dislikes me every other day, but this doesn't take away from the fact that he's an excellent manager and deserves a fair evaluation while he seeks a 3rd PSL title in 3 attempts as a manager (name someone else who's won 2/2 and cast aside this easily in a signup for 3/3, I'll wait).
