For those complaining about the 'insane grind': Yes, that was a problem, that's why it was reduced. We copied the numbers without really thinking about it from Christmas, and that was our mistake. It should have been reduced a few days ago, but the major issues from this update took several days longer than expected to fix, and that pushed back any further development for the event itself. For those complaining about 'compensation': Sorry, but no. Your reward is more cherish balls, which you already got. For those complaining about how it's not good enough: Yep, I agree, but we were constrained for time due to the aforementioned issues. Unfortunately this event's development went on too long and we started running into scheduling conflicts, so we pushed what we had. It'll be better next year. For those complaining about Male/Female costume splits: We'll make a female-oriented one next year, but one of the core design decisions here is trying to make all clothing wearable by both character genders. This is how the game's always been. Since our artists' "bandwidth" is limited around events, that lends to costumes which try to look good for both genders.

I'm sure of what I'm saying, because I measure nothing more and nothing less than 49 pixels!!! (Hat pilars + Red Lucky Dragon) I'm the tallest person in PokeMMO because I measure just like a store!! AND ALMOST AS TALL AS A LIGHTHOUSE!!! I'm so tall that I find visual bugs with every step I take. Can you outdo me? I'm sure you can't.

No, it's not fair because people farmed those tablets due to sheer FOMO of what the tablets could give. The Cherish Balls are not a compensation, they were the baseline. Reducing them from 40 to 24 this late into the event without compensating those who grinded them thinking they'd miss out on some secret reward otherwise is a massive disrespect. Nothing new here, though.

Hello, it has been brought to my attention that someone was pretending to be the tallest person in the game. I thought that this person didn't know me and my twin sisters standing at an average of 110 pixels (the eldest without dragon mount!). Here are pics for proof.

For the last 2 changelogs additional changes have been added several minutes after posting. Why not just delay the post and make sure all information is present. Servers are down anyways. Small things like this are really unneeded and can be solved with a little thought process

Basically what the title says. I farmed all the tablets when the elder woman required 40 mons for 1 tablet Now its 24 per tablet... Are we going to receive any compensation or you made us waste around 15-20 hours of our lifes? I would like an answer from the staff as this is not mentioned on the recent changelog. Excuse my grammar, not my language.

For those who dont understand why us "greedy" grinders ask for compensation let me explain... Catching these swarms have costs. Time and money. Lets say at best one swarm (4 pokemons) caught with quickballs will cost around 5k pokeyen and around 5 minutes to catch them. Now lets do the calculations. For 480 pokemon(120 Swarms) that was needed for 12 tablets before the patch, your cost of time will be at least 10 hours (and that if you are super efficient and hunt only quick ball swarms, which lets face its like 20% of all the swarms that spawing in this event) and a total pokeyen cost of 600k pokeyen (assuming you catch all 480 pokemons on the first ball) 60 Cherish balls as a reward will give you lets say 50k per ball, 3 million pokeyen in total. So taking out your 600k cost of perfect quick ball catches, you look at 2,4 million pokeyen profit in total. So if we do EVERYTHING perfect, we look at a profit of 240k pokeyen per HOUR . Do you see it now? No Grinder did this for the Cherish balls. We couldnt care less. Give us 288 pokemon to turn in for all 12 tablets and we will stop there and continue grind something else. Okay so we expected a better reward for this grind. That was a gamble from the start and its NOT why we complain. The main issue is that IF given the choice to stop at 288, many or all of us would have stopped turning in mons at 288. Thats extra 4 hours of our lives (way more to be precise cause who is perfect) that the new patch DE-valued! And thats why the "no compensation" thing feels like a middle finger. Because the devs are straight up saying "We do not care about the extra time you have put in the granny. We made a mistake. Deal with it."

As a player who didn't get the Wishing Stone and Tablets because the reward was unknown, I can understand the disappointment of players who made the effort. For me, the main problem here is not a question of “compensation” but rather a question of trust. Players who have invested hours into a task with high hopes for the reward given the difficulty of it should be given a little more consideration and showing appreciation for their efforts is important in my opinion if one wishes to keep their trust. I don't blame the developers because we are all grateful that this game exists and is very accessible to anyone with a cell phone. However, I think we can all agree that quests with unknown rewards are a dangerous bet in this game that is likely to disappoint many.

You were already 'compensated' with the extra Mysterious Cherish Balls that you got for the extra farm. It was your own decision to spend the time farming the 480 swarm mons - nobody was forcing you, so no, you shouldn't get any compensation. I honestly don't see the logic here why you should. Because they wanted to make it more balanced and less time consuming - so people probably could have more time for other parts of the event. I don't see why it can be taken as being given the middlefinger lol - you got your rewards - even extra compared to the ones who will just need 288 swarm mons. Again, it was your own decision to spend the necessary time to farm 480 swarms to get your reward with no knowledge of what was to be expected in the end - nobody was forcing you to complete it. Just because you are disappointed with a prize, it doesn't mean that you are entitled to a better prize. Kinda spoilish logic, ngl. It was sarcasm (/s) - I know that people weren't expecting shinies. 🙂 I honestly don't see why 5 or even 10 extra balls can be worth the complaining and annoyance.

I don’t think it’s too much to ask for a slight compensation. We grinded for the tablets, sure those cherish balls are nice but those weren’t the main reason for the grind. Now the time spent for all tablets has been halved and jokes on those who spent 40 hours, now that it can be done in 24 hours. Why even reduce the number of Pokemon in the first place? It’s like showing the middlefinger to those who were ready to grind and sink the time. However, the reward vanity is the traditional lunar new year outfit with some oversized sweatpants which may justify lowering the number swarms to catch. Would have been nice to know upfront though so we’d know what to expect and not end up more disappointed. Nobody asked for a shiny as compensation. 5 additional cherish balls may have calmed the masses. The initial thread was closed and that’s it, which we’ll have to respect. The whole thing could still have been handled better.

Honestly if you are able to complete the unown alphabet you should get like a trophy or something.

The lack of Female cosmetics is and has been an ongoing issue since this game came out. We understand there are more doods that play, doesnt exclude our lack of representation for the few of us that are women. People complain about things, not everyone will be happy. Deal with it.

My longest hunt was probably a Lickitung/Wobbuffet with 76k encounters (if I remember correctly), but the longer it takes the more stubborn I get. This is nothing compared to others luck. For example, Bearminator went >200k encounters for his Poliwag iirc, poor man. The only lucky staff member we have out there is @Revz. If he used his luck on lottery tickets instead of shinies he would be living as a king irl, but he has his priorities straight.

We still have faith in the Wishing Stone. The devs worked so hard for the new features and did an awesome job in terms of Gameplay, we are having fun, they have some Bugs and balancing stuff to fix, but 10/10. The problem is that the rewards are really low and very down for the level of this event... the vanities are average and not convincing since Johto, and the new legendaries Pokémons hype is fading out every day

Don't get me wrong. I agree with you 100% that this was hard for all parties. No one knew what the tablets even did before the update that dropped a couple hours ago. I even waited until today to do the tablets because i didn't know if it was worth it or not. Maybe in the end, this update needed to happen for the average player to even manage the grind? Alot of the player base has work, school and family to attend to. I'm just trying to look at this as logically as possible and leave my feelings out of this at this time. They probably had a reason for the change.

Thats exactly the issue. 288 is manageable. 480 is a monster of an elephant when you sit at 0. 480-288=192 The requirement to complete, was nearly cut in half. Both parties. The people that saw the mountain and said "lets climb it" amd the people that saw such a large requirement and said "theres no chance my real life allows that". Both deserve some sort of compensation. Guaranteed, there would be a lot more people trying for swarms, if they knew the requirements would be "similar" to xmas event. And the people that actually made that climb already, on top of staying with raids and maybe even adding in the shrine event, those players should be rewarded for their time invested. Is that not what these rewards are for? Time investment? Event reward, shiny reward, whatever. Everything requires time to invest. And a lot of time was completely shit on here
