  1. With the introduction of the Unova region and with it Hydreigon, the Tier Council and PokeMMO community agreed that Draco Meteor would be a problem. Draco Meteor, a 130 BP Dragon-Type move with 90% Accuracy and a devastating -2 SpAtt drop with each use, becomes a nuclear bomb when utilized by Hydreigon and its 125 SpAtt stat; mitigating the SpAtt drop as it does its job in one turn more often than not. A ban was implemented and Draco Meteor was removed from Hydreigon's learnset. Fast forward to today and Hydreigon spamming Draco Meteor is still a problem, even despite the introduction of Assault Gear and a more offensive oriented meta. After a thorough test, the TC has unanimously voted to once again ban Draco Meteor from competitive play. Of note, senior developers have opted to complex ban Draco Meteor and only remove it from singles. Hydreigon will still have access to Draco Meteor in Doubles.

  6. This is my first post here so I hope everyone is nice. Please let me know if you have questions or suggestions on this one. This strategy allows you to get extra income when Ditto farming taking advantage of Payday. PROS 1 Pokémon used per catch. No switching needed. Don't need to track PP of 2 Pokémons. Just your lead Pokémon 96 max Dittos per run (If you make 6 total) Extra income (400 to 450 yen) with every catch/non-ditto encounter Faster catch. Switching animation takes longer. Takes advantage of Net Ball's 3.5x catch rate. Can now be used in Johto and Hoenn - Thanks to @ddnodollar for finding this out. CONS Payday may crit resulting to fail catch Not recommended when you encounter shiny ditto May need to use awakening (in case enemy ditto uses yawn + catch fail but chance of this happening is very low, also income from payday greatly overshadows this expense) I created this strategy because I don't like switching Pokémon and I see myself tracking 2 Pokémon's PP summary window when I use the Foretress strategy. I am making a comparison due to that.   10. With the addition of complex bans we are currently discussing giving SD back to Garchomp as well as returning Shadow Tag to its unnerfed state. If anybody has anything they would like to say about either of those things.

This drawing was for an official art contest that took place last month, Snorunt is one of my fav mons, i didn't place but i'm really proud of this one. This one was made as a commission for a team's anniversary, i'm satisfied with the result, drawing the bald ones was really fun.

  12. Let me give this post a short reply: 120 base power outrage was the direct reason why Fairy type was introduced. Fairy type which we do not have. 120 bp outrage is an absolute no go in PokeMMO meta, imo

  15. Dont get me wrong, but suggestions here lead to nowhere. The Devs ignore most of the commonsense that would make sense, or vanity suggestions (in the vanity thread) for years now. Just to implement stuff nobody asked for, like randoms, an ufo hat, legendarys with depressing odds and nerf the catch rate of balls instead. Until eventually a competitor is detecting the laziness and makes it better. Which may happen rather soon than late according to words that spread like a wildfire rn. I'd say he created the account soley for this thread and may play longer. There is a lot of wise newcomer here, playing for a day and already start to suggest all kind of questionable things. But this here doesnt seem like it.

  16. Even dragmag not being really strong there, some mons with actual Dragon-type nukes in their Hands are very dangerous. We've seen what just happened wiith Draco Meteor Hydreigon. I'd have to agree on Rys's post @SuperBXdanielo, sorry. Also about wallbreakers, did you tried Gallade? It work greatly, defensively it can barely be checked, and to beat it you have to outoffense it. if you use a well-builded offense revolved around him you can beat one of the most toxic teams there, aka Frags team(Toxic due to being a fat balance, with longevity enough to 90% of the time carry the game for 130~150 turns. This amount of turns is usually 1h long(Move animation slows each turn to 25~30 seconds) and we know what happens when fat teams reach time limit).

  18. Why outrage would be healthy for the meta Dragon types today Today, dragon types are a really big part of the metagame, but especially because of their utility. A dragon stab is very reliable, but don’t make any pokemon good by itself (except for Hydreigon with draco meteor). Garchomp is a incredible diverse mon that can be defensive, offensive and even a speed control, Dragonite has a multitude of advantages that make it the perfect sweeper, while both salamance and haxorus, which rely to much on their stab to be good, have low win rates and usage. If you really want to deal damage in the pokemmo meta, you probably want a stab close combat, (or maybe a strong ground type to use earthquake), as most of the physical attackers have at least some fighting type coverage. Why, in the absence of outrage, the meta is unbalanced As i said, the two best types to deal damage are fighting and ground, something that make the meta heavily focused on those two. You can see that by the two main defensive types being poison and flying, with some water and steal types to cover their weakness. With those two types in mind, you can easily create a very solid defensive core, especially because every wallbreaker has it’s own counter. If your team has a conkelduur as it’s main wallbreaker, then he will be useless against the opposing weezing, if it’s darmanitan, then the same will happen if you face a defensive Garchomp. Even if you manage to weaken it with other mons, they can be easily heal by a wish teleport Chansey. Your wallbreaker will end up fainting, you will probably kill the opposing wallbreaker in the same way, and now you are stuck in a hour long stall war. This is the reason why our meta is full of HO and BO teams, as you need a very diverse offense core to take down the defensive ones, while the stall teams can monopolize on the amazing defensive cores they have at their disposal, making the game revolve around these two styles. How outrage will make the meta more balanced. Outrage will provide a reliable way to deal damage, while forcing you to be careful against revenge killing attempt’s, making balanced teams more viable. Garchomp and salamance will outrage through the slow and frail offensive meta with their scarf sets, while stall teams will need to take new treaths into consideration when building their teams. Both stall and especially HO/BO will be less spammable, leading to a meta more focused on balanced teams as they can use the increase in power together with the defensive cores to survive it. Defensive mons like empoleon and ferrothorn will shine in a meta less focused on fighting types, and Chansey will be unable to spam wish the same way we see today, at least on less defensive teams. The games will be more about who destroy the enemy defensive cores first, making games more fast pace. Conclusion I really think we should give outrage a try, especially when jirachi came out as it may happen in February, when we get heatran i will not be able to think of any reason for the nerf. Gen 5 players used to deal with far stronger dragons than those we have now such as latios and kyuren B with the same defensive mons, so the move will not be so strong as people think. At least, think about outrage buff as something that can really be introduced, it’s not the same as Garchomp SD or batton pass buff.

Draco Meteor test on Hydreigon has concluded, the move Draco Meteor on Hydreigon will be banned from competitive play in OU.

Hi guys, I know that this idea has been shared multiple times before, But I just want to share my Trainer Card design and hopefully its can inspire the devs 😄 Link : In my opinion, having this option is necessary as it allows players to link their trainer card in the chat for multiple reasons. - It would reduce spamming outfits in chat. - Share PvP ranks - Share other info like Bagdes,Money,etc.. with friends. Options : Hide/Show Money Hide/Show Battle Points Hide/Show Time Played Hide/Show Team Hide/Show For each PvP tier Example of hidden Money and PvP tier Currently the trainer card serves few boring purposes like checking the obedience lvl when doing the storyline and time played, so this would be a great improvement since it will make it more useful to players. I hope the devs think about this and try to implement at least some features. thanks for checking my suggestion and let me know what your opinion on this 😀

  22. Draco meteor has been banned from hydriegon because it is to oppressive against stall teams to have taunt support and draco. I dont understand why the tier commission has become obsessed with making sure everybody in this game has low skill teams but its really becoming annoying. Apparently its "too much to prepare for" im not sure how that can be when you see a hydriegon you know its a special attacker and its gonna run draco, unlike mixed attackers like garchomp or dnite which are the number 2 and 3 mons in ou and have been top ten for years. Mixed draco users can run hundreds of different sets and still have the ability to ko things that are seen as a hard counter with gems if you dont predict the set. mixed draco dragon gem is literally the reason gems are banned in competitive but its still in pokemmo ..thats fine but hydriegons draco is apparently "just too hard to play around". Lets be real they banned it because of focus energy and taunt sets which really wont even effect you if you run a single good regular attacker. Im tired of never being able to find a good match because everybody runs a horrible stall team, I dont want to toot my own horn here but i make it to veteran atleast every season with nu mons, if every set of hydriegon is manageable for me with a musharna marowak core I think it should be just fine for people actually using ou mons. The thing that gets my goat the most though is how the tier council doesnt even have the ability to stand by thier convictions, in the post they say it was "just a test' never once before now was it ever said that it was a testing phase, not when ot was introduced months ago and not when it was being discussed for bans. Now that they have done something they know will be very unpopular they try and shift the blame by saying "oh it was just a testing period not my fault". WEAK.

  24. UPDATE : After switching to a more popular strategy for e4 reruns, turns out it can be done much faster than I asumed in this post, thus making it irrelevant. Hello, I recently got into e4 reruning, and I believe the payout doesn't make sense compared to other money farming methods such as gym reruns or trainer reruns. Let's contextualize a bit : - Gym rerunning is a braindead activity that implies no skill, no attention, and almost no barrier to entry. I do them daily and they yield roughly 350k/h when optimized properly. - Trainer reruns are even more braindead, requires even less investment and can litteraly be done by spamming the exact same move for 1 hour straight. They yield roughly 220k/h. On the other hand e4 rerun is definitely a skilled activity. It has high barrier to entry, requires a lot of trial and error to do properly, and really requires your full attention otherwise you end up making mistakes, loosing time and healing items. Let's see how much we can make using it. The raw payout for a single e4 is 66k and 2k BP. By using the most profitable charm combination (amulet coin + no bp charm) the payout is (66k * 1.5 - 20k) + (2k * 12,5) = 100k. Then we need to account for healing items. When doing a GOOD run you ususally end up using roughly 5k worth of items per battle (in potions, x items, and sometimes revives). So we can assume the profit for doing a single e4 is roughly 80k WHEN DOING NO MISTAKES AND NOT HAVING BAD RNG. Now let's see how much this makes per hour. The average player will take roughly 30 min to complete a single e4. By playing as fast as possible, making no mistakes, and not having bad rng, you can probably do it in 20 min (I never done it tho, but I assume I still have room for improvement). So for a casual player, one hour of e4 reruns will yield about 160k. That's much less than trainer reruns. For an experienced player, it can go up to 240k when having perfect conditions. That's barely more than trainer reruns, much less than gym reruns. I think that's disappointing. I spend hours preparing 5x31 lvl100 pokemon. Then I need to go trial and error and loose a lot of time and pokeyen by researching the strats. Then I need to learn to execute it consistently. And even after all this, executing a full run requires lots of skill and attention. I feel like the rewards should align with the difficulty. My suggestion is to slightly buff the e4 payout so that, in best case scenario, it can yield a bit more than gym reruns. For exampe buffing the raw payout from 66k to 82k will increase profit by 35k per e4, which will turn the best scenario profit to 350k/h, which is barely what gym reruns makes. Again, it's best scenario. Realistically you'll not make this amount, because of mistakes and/or bad rng. I want to finish by saying that maybe I am just not aware of a strat that can beat the e4 in less than 20 min. Feel free to tell me if its the case. Otherwise I believe the payouts are a bit too small and makes this fun activity not worth my time 😞 TL;DR Braindead, no skill, low attention farming method rewards more than this high skill, high attention, high barrier to entry method.

    Hi. Please read the rules of games before starting to play the game - and you clearly violated a rule, and just because you claim to not know the rule, you can't just expect to be forgiven and unbanned. If that was possible, every player would just try and then lie about not knowing the rules, resulting in everyone getting unbanned, although they are in fact lying. This would in fact ruin the game. So of course this is not how it works. Be a better person and accept when you made a mistake and move on. Staff does not have the interest to ban people - they want to keep people in the game as long as they are following simple rules. This is to take care of the game. And no, assets are never transferred. They will forever stay in the banned accounts. Staff always look at evidence when going through a ban appeal - and if they are unsure, they will always ask for a second opinion from another senior staff member before making a conclusion. They do not have the time to write personal messages to banned players as the time it would take to do that is insane, and that's why guilty players will get usual rejection message.

  29. let's not do the Wobbufet Mistake. What maked Hydrei OP now is Draco Meteor, so let's remove Draco Meteor. Nasty plot out and Mixed sets/Choice sets will still be a problem. Focus Blast, mixed mons still a problem. Taunt, people use this? Anyway, NP without taunt, Choice and Mixed sets won't get impacted. Also, before Draco Hydrei was not op with any other move. (I Call wobbufet mistake because on the past Wobbufet was OP with Tickle and Shadow Tag. Before tickle, was UT. So the right nerf would be take away tickle. And they decide to nerf Shadow Tag.)

  32. Basically when breeding I like to write the cost of the pokemon in its nickname so I can store it for later use. Right now when breeding I need to remember the price of the parents I consumed until the egg hatches so I can write down the child's total cost. It would be much convenient to be able to rename the egg as soon as the old man gives it to me.

    El movimiento desarme

    Primero que nada, muy buenos días, tardes o noches, dependiendo de la hora a la que se haya leído este mensaje, lo hago llegar para sugerir que el movimiento desarme tenga el mismo efecto que el que tiene a partir de la sexta generación en adelante, primero por qué hago esta sugerencia? Porque considero que es algo que le daría un plus al competitivo en general, segundo porque considero que no es algo que rompería el meta del juego todo lo contrario más bien le daría más utilidad a cierto tipo de pokes en todas las tiers, tercero haría que el juego tenga algo más de frescura, porque no ponerlo? Si se tienen por ejemplo el chaleco asalto que es de la sexta generación o algunos movimientos como chupavidas tienen la misma potencia que las que tienen en generaciones actuales sería algo muy bueno entonces que el movimiento desarme tenga la misma potencia y el mismo efecto que el que tiene a partir de la sexta generación. Esta sugerencia la hago además porque es algo que he discutido con infinidad de amigos desde hace bastante tiempo y decidí hacerla teniendo en cuenta además que se han introducido pokemon como zapdos o suicune, que están bastante rotos la verdad entonces como recalco no creo que el hecho de "actualizar" el movimiento desarme este tan roto como para no ponerlo, me imagino que debe ser difícil re-escribir el código del movimiento pero sería algo que se aprecie bastante la verdad.     Quests and Advancements

    So my ideia is to add quests and Advacements to the game quests wold be some simple tasks like: Kill 1,10,50,100,200,500, Pokemons- Receive ... Level up your Pokemon 10,20,50 times- Receive... Win against trainers 10,20 - Receive... And the Advancements would be like: Find 1,5,10 shinys- Receive Capture all the legendarys on a region or on the pokedex-Receive Complete a Region-Receive Basically the quests would be a small source of money or some items to make people engage more on the game and focusing on other things than finishing the game. The Advancments would be a more difficult quest and with higher loot received and in some way we could make some badges to appear on the person profile to make people more interessting on doing the advancements. Sorry for my bad English. And btw i wold love to help the developers doing this if they want to implement it, maybe just helping on giving ideias to quests.

  38. I asked Rache about this and she said it was best to raise it here with Tier Council. Why do you guys currently find Acupressure not to be a problem right now when although it's RNG dependent and Quagsire fully counters it (e.g. Drapion in NU), the ability Moody was banned and it also clearly breaks the Evasion Clause making it uncompetitive? I feel regardless of how bad the Pokemon is using it (e.g. Tentacruel/Drapion) we should not be allowing such uncompetitive stuff like this - just to clarify my issue is with the Evasion boost rather than anything else. Would TC consider banning/nerfing this since it's entirely your decision?

The competitive community needs compatibility with pokepast Most of competitive players make use of pokemon showdown calculator to elaborate their teams and is such a pain manually transcript your team to a sheet, with this should be no problem. how this could be implemented? (My letter is horrid, sorry) Pressing export team, then selecting your team, will get an text with ev spread + moveset of your team to import at pokepast pressing import team, will allow you to paste your pokepast, it should automatically select the pokemon with the same ev spread + moveset in your pc or team, by default it will select the one with the most IVs in case none or invalid it will be in blank. (this function can be opcional.) Please, upvote and take care
