Grinding can be fun if the grinding doesn't involve massive amount of RNG, draining resources constantly and the rewards down the line are worth something. If devs choose to scale up difficulty based on RNG, players should not have to spend resources to attempt the boss then. If devs choose to scale up difficulty based on skill, then the boss needs a timer, players need to scout which version of the boss they are facing during the encounter, etc. Also, every single event in the past 3 years has been either nerfed or buffed at the half way point. What's the purpose of this aside from fucking people over? When the event is nerfed, players who bothered to put in the work to grind the event get completly screwed because all they have farmed is now worthless. When the event gets buffed, the players who bothered to put in the work to grind the event get completly screwed over because they can't farm anymore. Nerfing or buffing any event is very disrespectful to the playerbase. These events used to be accessible to everyone. You could enter the xmas event with nothing and you could still have a spot on the leaderboard if you played your cards correctly. You could beat up kids during the Halloween event and still make more money than regular gym runs. When it comes to gameplay, economy and balancing, these events are just poorly designed.

I would like to refer to my previous post mentioning that Outrage got nerfed in PokeMMO and that you're better off running Dragon Claw. Close Combat is IMO a better choice than Superpower on Scizor. Also i'm not much of a fan of running Choice Band with a speed build. You should ask yourself what the purpose is of your Scizor and what you're running the speed for (a bit Speed for Skarmory is nice though) Not enthousiastic about Thunder Wave on Tyranitar. The pokemon that want to switch in on Tyranitar either don't care getting Thunder Wave'd, or are immune to it. (Excadrill/Garchomp/Hippowdon/Ferrothorn) I mean Stone Edge/Ice Punch seems nice? A rather strange build on Excadrill. You're boosting one of Excadrill's worst stats, and you're running Toxic which gets resisted by nearly every Pokemon that wants to switch into it (Gliscor, Skarmory, Ferrothorn). Stealth Rock is an option, EQ/Rock Slide/Rapid Spin/Swords Dance is also an option. Hope this helps!

The introduction of Randoms on ladder heavily reduced the number of UU/NU games you would be able to find, but currently it's the Halloween event and usually during Event Season (Halloween/Christmas/CNY/Anniversary) players focus on grinding the event and not playing ladder - even the number of OU games are significantly reduced. The best times to generally find games in lower tiers are during the first few weeks of the new season (happens every 3 months) or the last month when people are grinding ELO to qualify for the UU/NU East and West Seasonal Crown Tournaments. Otherwise, I would suggest playing in official tournaments and CCs that happen fairly frequently, or wait until the event is over where more people will likely play again.

Imagine thinking you losing to rng lmaooo. How can it be rng if there’s people consistently beating it?

I have about 3 friends who are pretty damn good at Showdown ladder (made it to top 100 on various different ladders) who I invited back to the game to try out Pumpking with me. They were interested at first, and tried out a couple of battles, but it became very apparent that they were just losing interest in terms of how undocumented the "rules" are against Pumpking. They tried a few times on easy mode, then one time on hard, and honestly all decided this probably wasn't worth it as they started to lose money throughout this whole process. It also became very apparent that this was just not fun for anyone involved. I eventually pointed out some cookie cutter sets that were shared on YouTube, but by that point everyone was so disillusioned by Pumpking and just wanted to play another game. I don't really think this is a skill issue at all. There are definitely players that are beating Pumpking that are frankly pretty bad at PVP. Sure, it's pretty "easy" if you copy someone else's set, and play exactly how they're telling you to play, but does that actually make for a fun event at all?

For years I've wanted Chrystal Onix from the Pokemon Anime to be available in games. Pokemmo could definitely do it. Similar to how they have custom sprites for the Halloween event. But make Chrystal Onix an exclusive Alpha that shows up every so often. So it's not common or a shiny, but rather an event where everyone has a chance to grab it, but it's still rare. It's a reach but it would be awesome to see.

Fix the nature on the Excadrill, maybe go Jolly full speed full attack and then you're all good. It's not the best team, you will get beat, but just realise what your biggest counters are and adapt. (Weather and Volcorona will give you trouble) Good luck!

the classic items are not worth putting onto the market at all; i would suggest removing the global markets price limit or to make purchasing multiple ones at a faster rate to give the players not in that region accessibility to these items as the global market intends. its a balancing issue here. Without either a quicker rate of purchase or a higher profit margin, no one will sell these items on market region locking items from players.

Except this isn’t true at all and a lot of runs can be ruined solely on RNG, Lil’ Pump spawning, bad RNG on Fever Dreams, getting critted, Pumpthief when Weezing is out of the battlefield, etc etc etc

We had very unstable and boring metas for the past months (you know who to blame that for), which also doesn't really help.

Price checking is pretty straightforward I don't mind doing it but most people get annoyed when people ask for them on forums, reddit, global ect because they are super easy to do yourself. Your mom is worth maybe 25k as a breeder is it special and speed? When you want to price check a mon go to the GTL pokemon tab, go to advanced options select the same stats as the mon you have and if it's a male search males in the same egg group since they can only be sold as breeders (unless it's already a comp 6x31 natured male) and find what people are pricing similar mons for . If it is a female search the name of the mon specifically with the same stats typed in only compare females to other members of the same species Since females pass down their species when breeding. Obviously certain alphas, hidden abilities or niche mons will be a little harder to price and sometimes the only things you will be able to find on are perfect comps or mons that you know are more expensive then what you are trying to sell, usually in these cases i just try to factor in how much I spent on the breed and try to sell it at what i think is a fair profit margin but once you get into things like that you should be knowledgeable enough anyway. Hope this helps p.s. keep in mind that only 31 ivs really matters when pricing a mon, 30s can improve the price of it's a like 4x30 2x31 or something but for the most part people only care about 31s because when you breed mons you can only brace one stat per mon and nobody wants to brace a 27

If it triggers a traumatic memory its understandable why you would want to remove it. Simply not selecting the particle or vanity yourself is not enough since you will still see it from other players. If you change something in that folder with the specific name, you could probably remove it from your game. But I'm not sure if that would be considered as client tampering. Maybe reach out to the staff and then the modding community for other safer solutions.

Agree with the post above. I'd start with introducing more pivot in your team and fixing your moveset: Gliscor looks fine moveset wise but if you're running Toxic/Roost you should make it Impish full Def. You could also run U-turn on it to keep momentum. Hydreigon can also run U-turn - don't really like the Dread Plate as an item. Scizor is excellent with U-turn, you could run it with Choice Band , full HP build and it will hit like a truck and be pretty bulky. Serperior absolutely needs Contrary Ability and Leaf Storm. Serperior's existence in the meta is solely for that reason. Run hidden power fire for scizor. Outrage is not 120 BP on PokeMMO but 90 so Dragon Claw (or Dual Chop if you really want) are better choices. Also run Stone Edge over Rock Slide. Rotom-W would be a great pokemon for your team to introduce more pivot and utility into your team as well. Maybe an idea for you.

I was very afraid at first that the legendary trio would get the serperior treatment and cost 3-4 mil, but I have to give devs props because suicune, raikou and entei are actually affordable.

Considering this event we’re currently playing came out absolutely broken and was a mess (boss being absurdly hard, bugs with items everywhere, then they added a second patch to add more “””content””” and nerf the boss but it broke even more stuff like Thief and how items work in Randoms, a terrible ultra rare vanity which made the event bags crash in 4 days… not to mention the bot detection system that “worked perfectly”) I don’t understand how some of you really want them to rush things two more times in less than 2 months.

It would be cool if Teams had box(es?) where members could put in Pokemon, then other members could pull them out for a certain amount of time. It would be useful for stuff like pre-made competitive Pokemon, or gym rerun teams that other Team members could borrow. Maybe have expansion drives for more rental boxes that teams could save up collectively to buy or something.

Hey all! It's been a while! I've started working on Sinnoh and Johto pack for this mod, and I'll be updating the existing packs to work with updates that might have broken it. I also plan to use midis instead of MP4 so I can try to loop tracks, but that might take a bit longer. That said, Sinnoh and Johto should be done within the next few weeks so I'll keep you guys (and gals) posted. In the meantime, there's another HQ Music mod you can use for Sinnoh if you haven't found it already.
