I never ever complained of this game cause i always had fun with it, but let's just say something really grinded my gears during this event, the matchmaking system for raids, the main thing is not people playing with bad mons or with complete wrong team i do understand that not everyone checks the information about the raid boss, but my hatred is referred to the people going AFK and not reciving any punishment, i had to throw 5 runs because people would quit, a simple solution would fix all of this, giving a penalty system that all games do have, now explain me why after 3 PATCHES no punishment system for people going afk, the sad part is that all my friends quit PokeMMO so i have to rely on the matchmaking system. My main rant is this i get that my opinion may be strongly Subjective but i wanted to have an answer or some opinion in regard to it

This would mean that low win%/"elo" players would get matched with other low win% players, probably lowering their elo even more. While cool, i dont think system like elo can be applied to raids

ive did many raids with trash ivs mons without any problems, but the real problems are people that goin queue raid and use random mons without thinking or ever trolling. id mostly suggest to give a queue ban to them, it's so harassing

First of all, I would like to thank the developer team on behalf of the PokeMMO community. The Raid feature has been very interesting so far and it opens the door to new opportunities for teamwork, earning rewards as well as a new market for items and high level Pokémon. well, what I think could be added is the possibility of searching for random people while in a link, because currently you can only search for people when solo, and if you are in a link with 2 people cannot play, only if the link has exactly 4 people

I would like to start with a suggestion regarding the Matchmaking system. What do you think about implementing an ELO and Winrate system similar to that of PvP? The positive: - Each player will have to find out a minimum about the specifics of the raid and think about their team if they do not want to see their score impacted - This would reduce the chances of encountering uninvolved players who disconnect halfway or don't participate in implementing a strategy - This would give players an extra reason to beat a difficult Raid with the implementation of a leaderboard - Solo players could therefore carry out a Raid with players with similar ELO and they could queue up in Ranked or Casual The negative: - It seems difficult to judge the performance of each player within a team - This system could undoubtedly demotivate certain players to attempt the raid

Today, after two failed attempts with players recruited via the Global chat, I tried the Matchmaking system for the Excadrill raid. The interface is well thought out, easy to use and the link is made very quickly. Great work from the developers! Thank you! Concerning the attitude of the players, on two attempts, one with English players and the other with Chinese players, I would say that the CN players are more efficient. If communication was non-existent with the EN team, the CN team nevertheless responded! The sample of my experience being too small to make an objective judgment, I however think that in the future and with the increase in the difficulty of raids, building a solid team using the Global chat or the Matchmaking system might be hazardous. It seems wise to take advantage of this testing period to fill your Friends list with players who have made the effort to learn about an effective team before joining a raid! A part of me is hoping it sets up the rain turn one and it's permanent like sand was in Excadrill fight, and that it uses Dragon Dance at the start, with the ability being Moxie on it. Just pair it will HA Seaking (Lightning Rod) and it would be a fittingly tough final fight before Shaymin!

Quite the opposite. This event has been sensational to me because i have met so many people and we have all come together and made it so far. One thing I wanna note, if there is going to be a time interval between raid attempts, please make it count from the moment you JOIN the raid, not from the moment you quit. There were many instances where we had collectively decided to quit and retry because will-o-wisp missed 3 times in a row, or the trick room/tailwind setter got flinched. Please, don't make this penalty too rough, some people need to try a few times to rethink their strat.

Have used 2m+ worth of legendary lures and have been non stop doing single encounters but no suicune. The current system and legendary lure as an item is clearly messed up. Please fix.

You don't need perfect IVs for raids, they don't actually make much of a difference in this format. Beneficial types and well thought out movesets are much more important.

I'm genuinely annoyed that some posts have been removed and someone actually received warning points without prior warning on this thread for something pretty mild for PSL standards and just in general. It definitely doesn't warrant a whole week ban from forums. What @MathewMatposted was legitimate criticisms for the sake of the integrity of the event given that the actions of Doc jeopardised entire seasons in the past. This is the main thread announcing this season's PSL where we discuss the new host and the event, so I'm not really sure how that constitutes derailing in all honesty. Can't we not share our concerns without the risk of receiving a warning point because a certain someone can't stand the fact that we won't look past actions they've made in the past and continues to this day to take no accountability whatsoever? That's ridiculous, we might as well not have a thread in the first place. Beside, these decisions to ban Doc were made public and were done by previous hosts which are players, this is common knowledge for anyone that isn't an outsider. This is no account ban, there is no digging dirt on anybody here, no one is revealing private information. So which is it ? Drama or no drama? Or does it not apply to you? Rules for thee and not for me? He brought you drama but you shrugged it off and told staff to remove it. Or are you gonna argue that it was against some forum rules? Worst things have been said on other PSL threads in the past. Staff have always shown some leniency in this regard. This is extremely mild in comparison.

Hello, it has been brought to my attention that someone was pretending to be the tallest person in the game. I thought that this person didn't know me and my twin sisters standing at an average of 110 pixels (the eldest without dragon mount!). Here are pics for proof.

Been making a few sprite mods for myself recently using the ocean of community assets, figured I would share a few of them here. I will be posting them as single mods for now but may compile them into a bigger mod pack eventually. My first time posting a mod here so go easy on me if I do something wrong please <3. Every replacement includes animated front and back sprites, follower sprites, a monster icon, and shiny variants. Additionally I went through and made sure to align any sprites that looked funny in game atleast a bit. All credits with direct links to the source of the sprites can be found inside of the respective mods .zip file as credits.txt. Regional Forms: Paradox/Gmax Pokemon: Mega Pokemon: Special Pokemon: Install Instructions: For installation simply place the respective mods .zip file in Pokemmo/data/mods and activate the mod in the main menu. Make sure to move the mods in the load order to be below any other mods that may replace the same pokemon to avoid the conflicts.

Basically a dark theme without many modifications, I just tried to make it as dark as possible without straying too far from the default. (As I lost the original file, I decided to remake it using the Extra Dark Theme theme as a base, and some parts from other themes.) And it wouldn’t be as bad if Johto beasts were the only roaming legendaries, but rather we have 2 monthly legendaries to hunt with this mechanic. Either the rate needs to drop, or maybe the birds need to be put in a rotating raid now that we have them. Although dropping the rate, even if the latter was the case, would still be nice because since the payday shadow nerf in Johto there’s no point in running left to right to find the beasts. The only real benefit, if anything, is shiny hunting whatever spawns on that route, but it being a somewhat “forced” shiny hunt strips all the fun/joy/drive that it could have. Raids are amazing and have so much potential, so if Akshit’s suggestion doesn’t end up happening for whatever reason devs can think of that we, as players, cannot see yet (future plans or something they’re currently working on) I’d say that when they have more free time to think and work on them they should totally consider a nice, hard enough 5 star raid for at least the birds.

I did 9 out of the 10 raids with the randoms matchmaking and I can understand your frustration. However, I did the latest raid with people who were looking for an additional member on the Global Chat. The communication was amazing and I wouldn’t have imagined that people would get so excited when I set up tailwind once Braviary was below 25% 😂 I definitely suggest using Global for members as it’s a whole new experience to do raids with people who communicate. Am looking forward to the last two raid bosses with the boys from Global Chat.

I have good news for you: You absolutely don't need the matchmaking system, teammates or friends to raid! I've done all my raids with strangers without using the automatic system once. How? Send a message in the Global chat “LF Raid (Tauros) 1/4 – Location […]” and wait for a response. I was able to complete the link in less than 5 minutes and out of the 10 raids I only had two failures because we had terrible RNG. I think this method is much superior because the recruited players are online and use chat so communication is present. And it's also, in my opinion, a lot more fun than relying on random pairings. I think that the automatic system, even if it seems less restrictive at first glance, is not interesting because it exposes you to players who are not motivated or queue up away from their keyboard. Good luck!

Gonna have to wait and find out. Nobody knows since nobody can encounter Shaymin yet. I hope its the same as last year where its an Encounter rather than a raid boss.

Some fun facts about me: I am a software engineer I work from home and take advantage of this by living in different places throughout the year. I am a hobbyist photographer but was a professional photographer while I was in college. I ran in and completed 2 marathons last year. I can solve a rubix cube really fast. I can also juggle. I'm a big movie buff and love to watch random old movies and see how they hold up. Skyrim is my favorite game of all time. Especially when modded. ....and that's all I can think of off the top of my head.
