  8. The 3 months cycle movement system is quite bad imo, even though it was a great improvement when it was first implemented. The objective was to make sure pokemon would stop yoyoing from one tier to another. Every month, this is hardly possible now, but every 3 months, yoyoing should be expected. Within a year, Aerodactyl has been yoyoing from NU to OU to UU. As of today, Aerodactyl has enough usage in OU for moving up and also has not enough usage in UU for moving down. So, the yoyoing is far from over. Many pokemon are in the same situation and will arbitrarily move up or down based on the cut-off point of the 3rd month of each cycle. I believe the following 2 systems would be much better and allow lower tier metagames to develop and evolve naturally without constantly meaningless disruptions: Option 1 4.36% remains the cut-off point. A pokemon moves up only when it is above the cut-off point 2/3 months in a row. A pokemon moves down only when it is below the cut-off point 2/3 months in a row. By doing this, we should expect less yoyoing and more importantly the movements should be less arbitrary; unusual rise or decreased in usage in the third month of a cycle would not lead automatically to a pokemon changing tier. Option 2 Different cut-off points for moving up and moving down. If a pokemon's usage is constantly around the cut-off point, it is expected that it will be changing tier constantly and by doing so will be very disruptive. Imo, it would be better if a pokemon moves down only when it goes below - let's say - 3% and moves up only when it goes above - let's say - 5%. These options can be combined and require no manual entry, so very little effort to implement. These have been suggested mutliple times already and have usually been disregarded because of the fear that adding movements restrictions will lead to stale metagames. I believe this reason is unfounded because: this has never been tested and therefore arguing that will inevitably lead to stale metagames in speculative at best; these options can be adjusted to make it easier for movements to happen (for option 1, if 3 months in a row is too restrictive, it can be changed to 2 month in a row) (for option 2, if 3% and 5% is too restrictive, those can be changed for 3.5% and 4.5%) There has been movements crisis in NU specifically for at least 2 years now. The TC can't be expected to tier anything in NU if the metagame changes constantly and broken stuff keeps getting arbitrarily added and removed to the tier before anything can get banned. edit: I understand that the 3 months cycle is ideal for the seasonal system that we have in game right now. Here is how option 1 and 2 could be combined to support the seasonal system just like the 3 months cycle did. Every 3 months, a pokemon moves up if its usage is above 4.5%. Every 3 months, a pokemon moves down if its usage is below 3.5%. If a pokemon is 2 months in a row below 4%, it moves down. If a pokemon is 2 months in a row above 4% in moves up.

  10. @CaptnBaklava We all want transparency, and Munya has done a surprising job sharing that the TC has sucked ass this past month and our remaining membership just hasn't been active. We also haven't recruited any new members to our dwindling team, which is also of concern. The system is also hurting, as UU and NU matchmaking isn't getting the participation it used to, resulting in more dramatic shifts as popularity in team cores swing (y'all just copy each other and lack originality tbh). Overall though, it's a good system in my book, we just lack the structure to make it effective currently. TC is half-dead. Game is half-dead. If we somehow improved both of those we'd be in a better place, but alas, that is unlikely to happen. My suggestion would be to once again recruit active TC members and to shift usage to focus on tournament play. I am sure developers can implement changes to follow usage in tournaments as well. Additionally, changing to a "high-ELO" only usage system isn't beneficial either, as that would narrow usage even more. We all recognize that high ladder players tend to just copy one another and usage isn't that varied. In the end though, this rant is meaningless. Having occasional changes is good for the game and however dead the TC might be, it is our duty to block broken crap from dropping. Have we been successful in that? Not really, as those of us who are active (like myself) have a bias toward testing, which takes time and resources. Something that everyone in this MMO hate to do... even though... it's an MMO and that's what you're supposed to do. tl;dr Dead TC + Dead Game = Poor System

  11. I understand how frustrating it would be, but could we not come up with a system where context matters? From the current usage there's going to be really meta, well rated Pokemon from NU going up to UU because there's some fad teams being used on ranked. And with a small pool of players all you need is 2-5 people who play a lot to start using said team / pokemon and boom. It goes up, this is not healthy at all.. I feel there has to be a better way to handle this (I also understand usage has went up / down for things to move up but I am still not sure if it's enough) NU and UU have been erratic for a long time, if you look at the stats of how many matches have been played in ranked: NU's drop in games (per month): UU's drop in games (per month): *ignore the first number it's irrelevant It's been a horrible downwards trajectory.. I feel relying on usage from a pool of players this small is a big mistake, and something needs to change. I am curious to hear anyone elses thoughts.

  14. So in 2 months of the system implemented more than once some members did not play enough games. Sounds good and healthy for me. Any data on how many games they had to play? How many semifinals they reached?Wich was the highest elo they reach? What win% they had? Playing 500 elo UU or NU cannot be compared to 1-50 in ladder. All in all I would like this system to be more transparent for us. Not sure why you count November as a Holly day month. Is there someone besides JJ that is in an area of the world that's celebrating Thanksgiving?

  16. About Hax itens nerf, now, what is the following Measures? The nerf will be removed, still the same situation or will be banned again?? If possible, can tell? My suggestion is only remove the Nerf, but add a Single-Op Clasule, that allows only one OP item per team. Can test this feature in Randoms, and add to OU to next season, if work normally (If want to rework King's rock from next season, can make this: Multi-hit condition: If the user uses a Multi-hit move, the flinch chance drops to 7,5-8%(At best scenary, the chance of flinch would drop to 32.29-34.10%. Compared to 41% before, it would improve (Relevant Multi-hit with 5 hits)) per hit. Can still allow the item to use in OU, releasing him to OP item Clasule, and making clasule active/limited(Talked about above.). But, to don't make unbalanced, and make walls goes more Safety: Reduces Eviolite Buff from 1,5x to 1,4x Reduces Toxic/Thunder Wave Accuracy to 85)

  22. Can we get Infos of the placement ladder / tournament of the TC member that are supposed to play the game instead of being dead? While I did not follow all ladders and tournament games this season I can't remember seeing stelian, lunarck bluebreath or Tyrone. I got kicked in the ass from double j several times and seen matches from the others. Just because it was stated 1 or 2 months ago that tc has to play the game.

  24. After playing the events and having so much fun doing stuff as a group instead of by yourself is awesome!!! Truely adds more MMO to PokeMMO! just neeeeeeeds to be a permanent thing NOT just events, I feel like a Dungeon system where you can earn charms by beating the dungeon or just ingame money for beating it, would be super fun for Pokemon players. I think you guys could really give fans what they want by implementing more Co-Op content and give endgame players more options of content. Just a thought!

    Add tailwind/trick room turns in the same tooltip that stat changes are shown. It's on showdown, it's in the games, stat changes are shown already, not much of a reason to not add them. I'd also say screens/weather turns would make sense there too.

  40. Hello, I thought it would be very useful to add a filter in the GTL when searching for a Pokémon to search according to the movements it has. Also, there are people who try to sell competitive Pokémon with all the movements and it is impossible to find something without wasting more than 15 minutes among thousands of announcement. There are also quite a few Pokémon that depend on their Moveset for sale, for example a Smeargle. There are Smeargles with movements that are difficult to obtain and it is impossible for someone to find your announcement among hundreds of Smeargles announcement with basic movements that doesnt matter to anyone. In addition, there are also people who train the EVs of the Pokémon and it is difficult to locate the Pokémon with the trained EVs. Therefore, I think this filter would be very beneficial for people who sell competitive Pokémon, even if it is possible to at least add the search for only 1 movement among the 4 that it may have.   41. Sand devil + Garchomp in OU. Before that, I think everyone is bothered by a Garchomp like this: `When your Choice scarf Darmanitian uses U-Turn against Garchomp, it is missed because of this move in Sand weather and is finally killed by Earthquake. ·Your Tyrannitar uses Ice-punch against Garchomp and is missed, resulting to a passive situation for Tyrannitar player. I have a friend who loves playing sand team telling me that if Tyranitar meets Rotom-wash, switch to your Garchomp directly because his pump simply doesn't hit you in sand weather:/ This setting makes the instability of the battle become too high. Although the unstable battle is the charm of Pokemon, But I think the Garchonp + Sand devil exceeds the standard, so I want to make the following modification suggestions: 1.When Garchomp + Sand devil was combined, his Sand devil no longer took effect on 100% probability moves. 2.Ban it. I use Garchomp myself, but every player who likes it will not like it because it can dodge at sand weather.

  44. Hi everyone, As the game has increased in popularity over the Summer, RMT and botting related activities have also been increasing noticeably. There seems to be some misunderstanding about what isn't allowed in-game, so I would like to clarify that today. Real Money Trading and other illicit services upset the balance of the game by providing an unfair advantage to some players, and as such, are prohibited under the Terms of Service. RMT activities also contributes to other forms of cheating, such as where RMT vendors will use dedicated botting characters in order to create and sell gold. Since August, we have terminated more than 3,500 accounts related to RMT activity and botting, and are still banning hundreds per day. You may have heard stories of players professing their innocence by claiming that they were banned for trading with their friends, but we do not ban for normal trades with friends, transfers between alternate accounts, giveaways, or in-game sales of Gift Shop items. Often, players have been banned for receiving millions of gold from automated script characters while trying to hide the source of the money. Other times, players may have a dedicated botting character which they use to cheat on, then they are shocked when we take their main account, because they "weren't cheating on it." Regardless of how we find them, there is no statute of limitations to these types of rule violations. Usually, we will take action a few weeks after we find the violation, when they think they are safe. We are not immune to mistakes, but right now, the rate of approved ban appeals from these types of violations is less than 5%. When we make a mistake, it's almost always due to a legitimate trade with an RMT vendor. We believe this false positive rate is still too high, and we are working to improve it. In order to ensure the fairness of the game is maintained, we have diverted significant development resources to our administrative tools so that we can better handle this scale of cheating. We hope this knowledge will put normal players at ease. Finally, we would like to thank the players who have taken the time to report RMT and botting activity to the Game Masters. Reports help immensely, and we are very grateful for them.
