Alright, we have selected the managers. A big thank you to gbwead and Draekyn for their help in making the list. @pablobacas @queest @Azphiel The first 3 managers we believe were an absolute no brainers. They really have everything required to be a great manager and we unanimously agreed to put them in right away. @Quinn010 Quinn has competitive knowledge and knows the community well but what I believe hikes him up in our list is his personality which I think will add something to this PSL season. Quinn had been going in and out of our list until we realised he had not managed before and that was enough to put him in the no brainer list. @Shadow It took a while to decide with this one but suddenly we all just agreed we should give him a shot. He's one of the few staff members embedded into the comp scene. Like Quinn, he knows the community well and is fairly well liked. Knowing multiple languages is really ideal when we were trying to diversify our list. @DoctorPBC I believe he's the only one on this list that has managed before and boy does that help him. His time as a manager was one of my favourite selections of managers and he is a big reason for that. He does stuff that's outrageous but don't let that make you believe he doesn't know what he's doing, if you give him a hand, he'll take your whole arm. We need a hype man, you are it. @Latiosrol We needed some managers to bolster the representation of LatAm and there were plenty to pick from, some really good names but we decided to give a chance to someone who hasn't managed before. He's really likable and I'm sure people would love to play for him. I'm interested to see what he can do! @Cristi Another manager to represent LatAm. Cristi gave a good application and is a common sight in the competitive scene but what ultimately decided it was how many people mentioned him being a good dude who would do well as a manager. :flex: I'm sorry if you weren't selected. There were a lot of great choices who would definitely do a good job but ultimately, we can't fit everyone in and we tried to be diverse while giving new managers a chance to prove themselves. This mon just depresses the use of offense in NU and make stall or semi stall the better and the more common playstyle... If you don't understand it or you do understand it and you are fine with it then you are a coward. Like I said before, no one likes 60 mins games

There is 100% something wrong with one pokemon invalidating an entire playstyle. Thing gets two 108 BP (at least, with Silk Scarf) priority moves, one of which prevents opponents from attacking (aka, auto-lose if you run HO without some stupid tech set that is otherwise just terrible). That should be enough to have it looked at.

those who use wall have no problems with ambipom, not much, its problem is not being broken, it restricts the hyper offensive teambuild, and that's where it becomes a problem, I've lost count of how many times I was blocked by ambipom, how many times he ended my game for the simple fact that I used Hyper Offensive, Of course, he does have counters but the problem is to restrict who plays offensively, it's disgusting that monkey in NU, for so long. This is just my opinion, maybe it doesn't matter. But anyway, I think it will go up this month end for usage, finally.

Should it be looked at as a offensive uber? Feel like more of it's issue comes from a support on defensive teams and slapping offensive playstyles harder than just about anything.

Perhaps you should make a case for Ambipom being banworthy instead of calling people cowards if they dare disagree with you. Hating on stall may give you a ton of likes, but that is not and will never be a valid argument for something getting banned. Some things I would like to add: I personally believe Ambipom does pressure Offense to an unhealthy degree and I think a good case could be made to demonstrate that. Stall is not the most dominant playstyle in NU, that's blatantly untrue and just some absurd propangada. On top of that, NU compared to UU/OU is probably the tier in which stall is the least viable playstyle and this has been the case for years now. The fact that no one likes 60 mins games is just completly irrelevant.

One way for setup offensive mons to play around Ambipom is by running Protect (sometimes Substitute). I've seen things like Linoone and Lilligant in the past run Protect with some considerable success (honestly especially for Linoone I think it kinda became a staple). But while Protect can have other uses than just countering Fake Out, in general these mons are worse against the overall metagame, because they pretty much forfeit a 4th move just to deal with 1 threat. Now do I think Ambipom is broken? No. It clearly does what it's supposed to do, which is to annoy frail setup mons. It can be easily countered by lots of things, including Rocky Helmet Steelix, arguably one of the best defensive mons in the tier. It takes damage from every sort of hazard and has pretty bad bulk, meaning it can't just switch around for free.

I know a lot of people will disagree, but I really wished devs would focus more on improving the current game rather than adding new regions, pokemons, abilities, items etc. New pokemons, regions and hidden abilties create a lot of hype and I'm sure there is a huge surge of players when these updates hit, but I'm convinced this hype is very temporary. Once players finish the new storyline (a few hours), once they catch the new mons, they simply move on. The game remains the same. The most game defining updates were the ones that made the game better. I'm talking about the update where IVs were finally revealed, the update where the GTL was launched, the update where we got a matchmaking ladder, those are the updates that made players stay because the game became more enjoyable. With that being said, I hope devs will consider working on the following features and not tunnel their efforts on adding a pointless new region like Johto. Social Features Team Goals Community Chats Tools Features Filters Trackers PVP Features Battle Counters Automated Tournaments Hosting Warning Message when signing up for Matchmaking while playing a tournament I realise that I suggested a lot of different things and there is little chance that these things will be implemented. That's fine. My point is not that these specific things should be implemented. I just would prefer if devs would work on features similar to the ones I suggested rather than implenting new pokemon, new abilities, new regions, new items, etc. Kyu said somewhat recently that Devs have limited content that they can release, so please don't rush. We don't need Assault Vest on top of Hidden Abilties. We don't need Johto in Spring 2023. Imo, it would be best to slow down the content release and refocus on improving the current game with more player friendly features.
