  1. This. I don't like this metagame, and other ppl I've talked with feel the same (tho I would like to see more inputs). Its way too restrictive, mostly because of the pory twins. I thought bringing back pz to uu was a shitty idea and I still think so, its such a menace for balance teams if they don't run an specific answer, and there are barely of those, Offensive builds don't really struggle that much against pz bcuz of its poor bulk but I think this meta doesn't favour offense at all, in good part thanks to p2. Now, I don't believe porygon2 is this monster that switchs, survives and beats everything, but no one can negate how hard it can be for offense to deal with it. Against pretty much every offensive build it will find a turn to get into the field and it will immediatly threaten all the team, and its very hard to force it out too. I mean, If I have to run a 120+ base atk with a boosting item in every team to scare p2 out, that just shows how strong it is. Basically, while its not impossible to deal with p2 and pz, I believe they have to go for the good of the tier.

  3. The host has decided not to let the Spanish team go through the competition due to a major rule break. Over the past few days, I received messages of a team allegedly coaching in voice chats. I was provided with a conversation (in the form of chat logs given by staff) between 2 players, of whom 1 was a Spanish team member. In the conversation, the Spanish team member acknowledges and confirms that there is coaching within his team. The conversation mostly revolved around the player playing at the time. Upon receiving the full discussion, the WorldCup staff reviewed it and came up with the following conclusions. These screenshots tell us that coaching was happening in the team regardless of them hard denying it. In addition, It is not only about the person getting coached, but the people coaching, knowing full well that it's strictly against the rules. From my point of view, this is a major breach of a key rule, and because of this, team Spain will not make it to the tournament's next stage. We are fully aware that it's unfair towards the players that did nothing wrong, but there is nothing much we can do about it.

This follower mod builds on the work of everyone who contributed to the various versions that came before it, and as such would not be possible without the hard work of everyone who has contributed to the follower mods so far! With that said, this mod aims to forward all updates and fixes from previous versions, correct some issues with the previous versions, add missing sprites, and pre-emptively prepare for the arrival of Legendary and Mythical Pokémon if/when we get access to some of them.   6. As a someone who has been around for a while, there was something exciting about every new addition to PokeMMO to shake up the metagame. With every update, you always had to approach the competitive teambuilding differently which was fun. Between the beginning of PokeMMO and the implementation of Unova, there was quite frequently some mix-ups to the metagame and that kept the competitive play interesting. However, since the beginning of Unova basically nothing has changed in competitive play besides giving Pokemon Gen 8 moves which barely did anything else than slightly buff a Pokemon or three. This is why I'm suggesting that you would give us Hidden Abilities already. I know you had some great plans to implement them in some special way like in some dungeon or something, which is cool and all - the problem is that we have been waiting for that for like over 3 years already? And I haven't seen a single mention about actually making them a reality in anytime soon. That's why even though your idea was nice and all - I would suggest that you would implement an easy way to obtain Hidden Abilities, preferably to every Pokemon (besides the obviously broken ones like Speed Boost Blaziken). Hidden Abilities would shake up the metagame at least a little bit and it would give us a new way to approach competitive battling and give us something new to do competitively. Playing the same exact metagame for 3+ years is starting to get old.

  8. Couple a lack of ambition with the complacency offered by the ridiculous income from a horde of chinese players who won't ever complain and this is what you get. In the past, they've had to scramble to get something significant out whenever the game started to die, which with each iteration made the game slightly less mind numbingly boring. Now they just don't have to. They don't have to expand the team to get more shit done as has been suggested for years, why would they when the current model works somehow? You can call bullshit, you can say you're working on something else, you can say you've had to run maintenance on a bunch of shit we're not aware of. The point is, clearly, even the vocal and invested part of your community isn't aware of anything because you fail time and time again to communicate.

I think what is frustrating is that every event, the devs have a proof of concept that totally show that they can make events/dungeon-ey sort of experiences that differ from base Pokemon gameplay. I don't know if it changed this year, but the Lunar New Year event that was released in 2020 was honestly some of the most fun I've had playing MMO. The dev team clearly has proven that they know how how to do this stuff, and have it be incredibly fun. I have no clue if they just aren't confident in their ability to be making dungeons or what, and they keep second guessing themselves and delaying them.

So far we have 4 lengendary pokemon,they are Mewtwo、Rayquaza、Arceus、Keldeo,but the player can’t always own it。 So my suggestion is to add the beast to PVP and have a shiny probability of 1/30000 Of course i don't want Rayquaza to join PVP,because too strong will destroy the PVP balance environment。 I think there are Pokémon that can be added Keldeo、Terrakion、Virizion、Cobalion、Landorus、Thundurus Thanks

  21. I want notifications for pokemon names to trigger when that pokemon is linked. As of now, a notification would only come if the pokemon's name was directly typed into chat. For example, I want to buy a lucario and set "lucario" in the chat sound notification If the seller directly links to "lucario", there will be no prompt tone, unless they personally enter the words "lucario", so I suggest the official to improve the relevant functions of the prompt tone

  24. All I see is plenty of wrong arguments. But keep going it's fun. For the one (don't remember who) who said "provide calcs and arguments" > you should check previous months movement discussion as well as some Discord called "PokeMMO Colliseum" where PLENTY of arguments were made on Quick Claw, Dug, Porygon2, PorygonZ, and more over the course of the past months (at least when I still cared) If you don't see arguments, you can't blame it on the others but blame it on yourself for not reading what's being said Uh also, saying a mon is needed in the tier BECAUSE it stops 50% of the tier isn't an argument, it sounds more like a reason to ban it honestly we aren't playing stall simulator excuse me x)

  29. The legacy box doesn't have anything exclusive to it and contains most of the same items as the regular box. The regular box has a few extra vanities (Military set) in it, which is part of why the legacy box exists at all. When changing the method of obtaining them (the old boxes were purchasable at BP vendors which no longer sell them), we wanted to avoid these new vanities from being made more common than intended in the process. By only putting them into a new type of box, they couldn't be pulled from any boxes that already existed before the change.

  30. I have thought about this and I think the issue comes from the code that sits inside the game itself. Majority of the cosmetic aspect of the game we want to change is simply just not available to us GUI Creators. I have not personally looked if this is possible, but I highly doubt we could show the actual item versus the stock image.. Btw.... to everyone, here is another preview of the Battle screen - sort of. I feel the HP Bar is at its final form... I would say 99%. Now, time to apply the same to the enemy HP bar and get rest of the battle screen area all good to go.

Why are we acting like there is no hazards in this game? that pokemons are always at 100% health during the whole game ? that people can't predict a move from porygon2 ? that you can't force porygon2 to recover to get some poke in freely ? and it's not like there are 0 mons that can't revenge kill it or even just kill it. P2 doesn't have leftovers so hazards, status and weather (sand) will make things a bit difficult for its longevity. Lanturn, Bronzong, Snorlax, CB Snorlax, Dusclops, Metagross, Porygon2, Scrafty, Spdef Swampert, Gastrodon, Gigalith, all of them can stall/ come in on p2/ can force p2 to recover to finally bring in a more fragile wallbreaker safely. Okay some of them are less useful than others, but most of them are very viable and useful in that meta. All I see here is theory and it doesn't mean much in the actual game. Porygon2 isn't a threat in UU, you just gotta be prepared for it like you gotta be prepared for any top tiers pokemons in each tier.

  33. We should put priority in making the game less rng-reliant so "noob in 400" won't beat a 700 points player by sheer luck through sand veil evasion. Shit like quick claw, bright powder and evasion-boosting abilities are affecting entire game in almost all tiers, while Pory2 resides in UU only, although this is just my own opinion. I can understand that you are mainly a UU player (?) and Porygon affects you more than the other bullshit devs brought upon us not too long ago, though. Oh, so CB Heracross cannot KO p2. Or a scarfer after rocks. Right. Good to know. Have you considered joining TC? I guess in your world Porygon2 magically resists fighting STAB and runs 252 hp def satk sdef and 3 natures at the same time, walls everything and oneshots everything that switches into it. Regardless, flame orb hera is ran 75% of the time so your argument is pretty much irrelevant. It's like saying that "if Pory2 is not eviolite then Yanmega can 2hko it after rocks". I'm not here to educate you what a mon can do to other mon, I mentioned physical attackers (without even mentioning Azumarill, Krooko, or Mamoswine) which can quite easily dispose of Pory2, as the bold natured Pory is used only 20% of the time (mostly calm/ modest). Please don't put words I haven't said into my mouth. I have not said a single word or even implied that Pory cannot wall a physical threat (that's actually ignorance, and additionally, hypocrisy, but I digress). Of course, it can do it with a Bold nature and max def, but then it gets 2shoted by PoryZ, Yanmega or Exegg's Solarbeam. It's a double edged sword. And gets 2 shoted by Yanmega or PoryZ. Nice tradeoff. Then special wall gets killed by any fighting STAB. Again you are behaving as if P2 can run Modest/ Bold/ Calm natures at the same time and has 252 hp def satk sdef. This is a blatant lie. Modest P2 can wall the entire UU metagame bar CC/ Superpower/ Hjk? Are you trying to lie to yourself or to us? Trying to use a lie to support your claim of a broken mon instantly makes you look ridiculous and drastically kills all your other arguments. If you want to discuss Pory2, then do it the right way. Is it an offensive uber? Surely not. Is it a support uber? I don't think so. Is it a defensive uber? Run the calcs and check yourself, it doesn't magically switch in on every attack in the game and soak it up. Is it centralizing/ unhealthy? Maybe. That would be the only criteria we could use to actually discuss it. I guess I like my CB set too much, it's seriously fun tho (and hammer arm 2hkos Pory even without rocks. Unless you're me and you miss that 90%) I couldn't care less about Porygon2 in UU, it's one of those mons for which you'll have to come prepared but it does not fit any of the uber criterias.

    Saving battle videos

    Tournaments already have a similar feature to this so do showdown and the mainline games: The ability to save battle replays from matchmaking and regular duels. Why: have you ever had a match where you made an insane play you want to share with your friends or do you want to analyse a match where you feel you could have done a different move here and there? of course you have! but unless it was in a tournament or you recorded it there is no way of doing this. How this could be implemented: Basically after a PvP match you get a prompt to save the replay this replay could be saved in either the PC or in the PvP tab of course you don't want every player to save all of their battles so my suggestion is to give every player 5-10 slots for saving them and potentially adding a voucher to the gift shop that allows you to expand this number. Where would you save something like this: there are 2 options for this problem either the games server (like tournament replays) or on the players PC (like screenshots).

    Are the devs still alive?

    We're all fine. Covid's made life difficult for everyone, so work suffers because of that. I personally took a month off after CNY as I got married and moved house, but I'm sure nobody cares about that. We've had a lot of trouble keeping up with the population growth of the game this past year, so a lot of development time has been dedicated to improving toolage for the GMs & support staff. Players don't see that though. It's a balancing act trying to devote time to those types of things and actual gameplay. We're currently planning on a bug fix patch to address some ugly gameplay warts, then afterwards a small gameplay patch for PvP improvements. I'm not sure how long the latter is scheduled to take, so we'll see. Afterwards, it'll depend on how ambitious we're feeling.
